Surfing season in the Maldives is about the begin. Every year between May and October, the paradise atolls become the destination for those passionate about the sun, wind and surf. But if you’re looking to find something completely unique, Soneva Surf may be your answer.
The programme not only takes you to unknown surfing spots near hidden and unmarked islands, but all the equipment will be completely environmentally friendly. This includes surf boards made with eco-wax and coral-friendly sunscreen coral-friendly. “Our goal is to show surfers that eco-friendly surfing can be done without sacrificing a good experience,” says Sunny Yang, Area Surf Experience Manager for Soneva Surf.
At present, Soneva Surf is available at two resorts in the Maldives, Soneva Fushi and Soneva Jani in the Noonu Atoll. Soneva in Aqua diving and surfing experiences will take you on a chartered boat around the Baa and Noonu Atolls. The islands are ideal for novice and advanced surfers.
