บริษัท VistaJet จากลอนดอนประกาศใช้ไฟลท์ว่างรับงานช่วยรัฐบาลและองค์กรทางการแพทย์ทั่วโลก

เราได้เห็นบริษัทน้อยใหญ่ต่างๆ ใช้ทรัพยากรและความสามารถของตนเพื่อช่วยสังคมในช่วงเวลาแห่งความยากลำบากและไม่แน่นอนนี้ อย่างเมื่อสัปดาห์ที่แล้วเราก็มีข่าวเรื่องเครือ LVMH ปรับสายการผลิตน้ำหอมไปผลิตแอลกอฮอลล้างมือแทนเพื่อส่งมอบให้กับโรงพยาบาลในประเทศฝรั่งเศสโดยไม่คิดมูลค่า และล่าสุดเราได้รับข่าวสารจากบริษัท VistaJet แจ้งว่าจะใช้ไฟลท์ว่างรับงานช่วยรัฐบาลและองค์กรทางการแพทย์ทั่วโลกอีกแรงหนึ่ง
VistaJet จากลอนดอนมีเครื่องบินแบบบิสสิเนสเจ็ทกว่า 70 ลำเพื่อให้บริการใน 187 ประเทศหรือครอบคลุม 96% ของพื้นที่โลก ความช่วยเหลือของ VistaJet ในครั้งนี้มุ่งช่วยนำบุคลากรและอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ไปส่งยังพื้นที่ที่ต้องปฏิบัติงานเกี่ยวกับ Covid-19 เป็นหลัก และจะช่วยนำคนกลับประเทศด้วยหากมีการร้องขอมาจากรัฐบาลและสถานกงสุลทั่วโลก หากทำได้จริง กล่าวคือ มีความต้องการใช้งานในเส้นทางที่มีไฟลท์ว่างจริง บริการนี้ก็จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อทุกฝ่ายเป็นอย่างยิ่งในภาวะที่สายการบินพาณิชย์ลดจำนวนเที่ยวบิน ตัดเส้นทางการบินหรืองดให้บริการเป็นการชั่วคราวไปเลย
โธมัส ฟลอร์ ผู้ก่อตั้งและประธานบริษัท VistaJet กล่าวว่า “นี่เป็นช่วงเวลาที่ไม่ปกติเป็นอย่างยิ่ง เราทุกคนต้องร่วมมือกันเพื่อทำอะไรก็ได้เพื่อเป็นการช่วยเหลือซึ่งกันและกัน ปกติบริษัทเราไม่มีบริการไฟลท์รับคนกลับประเทศหรือไฟลท์ส่งอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ แต่ในท้ายที่สุดแล้วเราก็เป็นบริษัทที่ทำหน้าที่ขนส่ง และเราก็จะช่วยสังคมโลกให้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะทำได้ เพราะเราต้องสู้ไวรัสด้วยกันครับ”

Recent weeks has seen several large conglomerates and small firms chipping in to help with the current coronavirus battle. We have previously reported on the effort of LVMH to switch their production facilities from perfume to hand sanitisers in aid to French hospitals at no cost. Most recently, we were informed by VistaJet that they are offering empty leg flights up for use by government agencies and medical organisations.
The London-based company operates over 70 business aircrafts in 187 countries, covering 96% of the world. With this announcement, they hope to help expedite the move of medical personnel and supplies crucial to the fight against Covid-19, as well as to facilitate the repatriation efforts of governments and consulates around the world. The service, if requirement matches are found, will be most beneficiary during this time when commercial airlines heavily reduce their frequency and routes or suspend operation altogether.
Thomas Flohr, VistaJet’s Founder and Chairman, said, “This is an unusual time and one that we must all work together where possible to do whatever we can to help. We know we don’t normally offer repatriation flights or the transportation of medical equipment, but ultimately, we are a logistics company and we are here to help the global community as much as we can. We are in this fight together.”
