Carl F. Bucherer นำเสนอนาฬิกาโครโนกราฟแบบที่หลายคนอยากได้แต่มีแค่ไม่กี่แบรนด์ผลิต นั่นก็คือนาฬิกาโครโนกราฟที่มีเข็มทดนาทีอยู่ตรงกลางหน้าปัดนั่นเอง ฟังดูอาจไม่ใช่เรื่องใหญ่อะไร แต่ในความเป็นจริงแล้ววงการนาฬิกาของเราขาดแคลนนาฬิกาโครโนกราฟสไตล์นี้เป็นอย่างมากมาเป็นเวลาราว 20 ปีแล้ว ตั้งแต่ที่สายการผลิตเครื่อง Lemania 5100 สิ้นสุดลง ที่พอจะมีอยู่บ้างนั้นก็มักจะเป็นรุ่นราคาระดับสูงลิ่วเป็นส่วนมากด้วย ดังนั้นเราจึงมีความยินดีเป็นอย่างยิ่งเมื่อได้รู้จักกับ Manero Central Counter ที่ตอบโจทย์เล็กๆ แต่สำคัญนี้ของเราได้อย่างลงตัว
นาฬิการุ่นใหม่จาก Carl F. Bucherer รุ่นนี้มีตัวเรือนสเตนเลสสตีลขนาด 42.5 มม. ขอบตัวเรือนเคลือบสีดำด้วยกระบวนการดีแอลซี และมีสเกลแทคคิมิเตอร์สีขาว หน้าปัดเป็นสไตล์เรียบเกลี้ยง มีวงหน้าปัดย่อยสีดำ 2 วงซึ่งไม่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องอะไรกับระบบจับเวลาเลยจริงๆ กล่าวคือ วงซ้ายเป็นเข็มแสดงค่ากลางวัน/กลางคืนแบบ 24 ชั่วโมง และวงขวาเป็นเข็มวินาทีต่อเนื่องของนาฬิกา การแสดงค่าเวลาที่จับโดยระบบโครโนกราฟจะทำด้วยเข็มกลางหน้าปัด 2 เข็ม เข็มหนึ่งใช้ทดวินาทีเหมือนนาฬิกาโครโนกราฟทั่วไป และเพิ่มเติมอีกเข็มหนึ่งใช้ทดนาทีอย่างที่เราต้องการ ดังนั้นหากคุณจับเวลาอะไรที่สิ้นสุดภายใน 1 ชั่วโมงเป็นประจำ นาฬิการุ่นนี้จะเป็นประโยชน์อย่างยิ่งสำหรับคุณ เพราะว่าแค่เหลือบตามองก็จะรู้แล้วว่าจับเวลาไปนานกี่นาทีแล้ว ไม่เหมือนนาฬิกาโครโนกราฟทั่วไปที่คุณจะต้องมาเพ่งที่วงทดนาทีเล็กๆ
Carl F. Bucherer Manero Central Counter มีหน้าปัดให้เลือก 4 สี ได้แก่ สีแซลมอน สีเขียว สีน้ำตาและสีฟ้า ทุกสีมีการขัดลายเงาเป็นวงกลม สวมใส่ด้วยสายยางแบบไฮบริดที่มีพื้นผิวลายขัดแนวยาวด้านบน มาพร้อมกับบานพับและระบบปลดสายแบบรวดเร็วเพื่อการสับเปลี่ยนไปใช้สายเส้นอื่น ทั้งนี้ Carl F. Bucherer ไม่ได้ให้รายละเอียดกับเรามากมายนักในเรื่องของเครื่อง นอกจากบอกเพียงว่าเป็นเครื่องนาฬิกาแบบขึ้นลานอัตโนมัติรุ่นคาลิเบอร์ CFB 1967 ซึ่งมีกำลังลานสำรอง 40-44 ชั่วโมง เอาไว้เราได้เจอทีมบริหารเมื่อใดจะพยายามหาข้อมูลเพิ่มเติม แต่เท่าที่เราเข้าใจเองในเวลานี้คือเป็นเครื่องเบสที่นำโมดูลโครโนกราฟแบบพิเศษมาติดตั้งเพื่อให้มีเข็มทดนาทีกลางหน้าปัดได้เช่นนี้

Carl F. Bucherer has presented the kind of chronograph many want but few offer: one with a central chronograph minute hand, in addition to the second hand. This may sound simple enough but the reality is that the configuration has been very scarce in the industry for about two decades now, ever since the production of the legendary Lemania 5100 movement stopped. Also, the few timepieces with a central chronograph minute hand since then tend to be in the very high price bracket. So, enter the Manero Central Counter, a sporty lad with a nice trick up his sleeve.
This new product from Carl F. Bucherer measures 42.5 mm in stainless steel with a black DLC-coated bezel that also carries a white tachymeter scale. The two subdials on its uncluttered dial with the circular brushed effect have nothing to do with the chronograph function. The left one serves as a day/night indicator and the right one marks the continuous second of the timekeeping function. In fact, elapsed time is measured by the two central hands: one for the minute and one for the second. If you regularly time anything that finishes within one hour, this would be ideal for you because you can take a reading from just a quick glance, unlike regular chronographs where you may have to exert some effort when scrutinising the small minute counter.
The four dial colour options for the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Central Counter watch include salmon, green, brown and blue. All are worn on a black hybrid rubber strap with a brushed texture, a folding clasp and a quick release system. Carl F. Bucherer does not reveal too many details regarding the self-winding CFB 1967 movement used, other than that it has a power reserve of 40 to 44 hours. We will try to get more information from them. But as far as we can tell at this time, it is most likely a base movement with a clever chronograph module attached to it.
