Here are the three most difficult tables to book in Bangkok… and how to best to reserve them.

Bangkok has a reputation for being one of the world’s most accessible cities, but that’s not always the case when it comes to fine dining. Here are the three of the most difficult tables to grab, and the best way to book them. But unless you’ve got some great connections, make sure you’re willing to wait a few weeks (and sometimes months) to snag a spot.
Sorn Fine Southern Cuisine
With only 20 seats, Sorn headed by Supaksorn ‘Ice’ Jongsiri, has already limited the amount of guests that can enjoy their Thai Southern Cuisine nightly. But within less than a year of opening, this spot has gained both One Michelin Star and a place (number 48) on Asia’s 50 best restaurant list. Those craving the spicy southern curries will have to have to book a few months in advance. Spots for June of this year will open on the 8th April 2018 (12:00 – 18:00 hrs) with reservations made through phone only at Tel. 099-081-1119.
Gaggan
Gaggan holds two Michelin Stars and was voted Number One in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for the past four years, moving to second place at this year’s announcement in Macau. The slight fall from the top hasn’t stopped the bookings though, as Gaggan is said to receive more than 500 requests a day. The wait time? Around two months, though those living in Bangkok can opt to be put on a separate waiting list for last minute cancellations. The best way to make reservations? Through their website.

Andy Yang (Andy Yangeksakul) brought Thai Food to the spotlight in New York when his Thai Bistro, Rhong Tiam received a Michelin Star. In Bangkok, Yang recently opened a chef’s table restaurant with only 12 seats, humbly named Table 38. What’s on the menu? Reinterpretations of Thai street food and ancient dishes, with Yang’s own artistic twist. ร้านศรณ์ (Sorn)
ด้วยที่นั่งทั้งหมดเพียง 20 ที่นั่ง ร้านศรณ์ ซึ่งดูแลโดยคุณไอซ์ – ศุภักษร จงศิริ ได้จำกัดจำนวนแขกที่สามารถเข้ามารับประทานอาหารไทยภาคใต้ของที่ร้านในแต่ละคืน แต่หลังจากที่เปิดมาได้ไม่ถึงปี ร้านอาหารแห่งนี้ได้รับทั้งดาวมิชลินหนึ่งดาวและอันดับที่ 48 จากการจัดอันดับร้านอาหารที่ดีที่สุดในเอเชีย 50 อันดับ ผู้ที่ต้องการลิ้มรสแกงใต้รสเผ็ดของร้านนี้จะต้องจองโต๊ะล่วงหน้าเป็นเวลาหลายเดือน ทางร้านจะเปิดให้สำรองโต๊ะสำหรับเดือนมิถุนายนปีนี้ในวันที่ 8 เมษายน (12.00 – 18.00 น.) โดยจะรับจองทางโทรศัพท์เท่านั้น โทร. 099-081-1119
ร้านกากั้น (Gaggan)
ร้านกากั้นได้รับดาวมิชลินสองดาว อีกทั้งยังได้รับการลงคะแนนให้เป็นอันดับหนึ่งของร้านอาหารที่ดีที่สุดในเอเชีย 50 อันดับเป็นเวลาติดต่อกันถึงสี่ปี โดยปีนี้ได้เลื่อนไปอยู่อันดับที่สองหลังจากการประกาศผลครั้งล่าสุดที่มาเก๊า แต่การตกมาเพียงหนึ่งอันดับในครั้งนี้ไม่ได้มีผลแต่อย่างใดต่อการจองโต๊ะของร้าน เพราะว่ากันว่ามีผู้ขอจองโต๊ะที่ร้านกากั้นวันละกว่า 500 คน ส่วนระยะเวลารอจะอยู่ที่ประมาณสองเดือน แต่ผู้ที่อาศัยอยู่ในกรุงเทพฯ สามารถเลือกที่จะลงชื่อในอีกคิวหนึ่งสำหรับกรณีที่มีการยกเลิกการจองกะทันหัน วิธีการจองที่ดีที่สุดคือการจองผ่านเว็บไซต์ที่ (http://eatatgaggan.com/reservation/)
ร้านเทเบิล 38 (Table 38)
เชฟแอนดี้ ยัง (แอนดี้ ยังเอกสกุล) ได้สร้างชื่อเสียงให้กับอาหารไทยในนิวยอร์กเมื่อร้านอาหารไทยขนาดเล็กของเขา ซึ่งมีชื่อว่า โรงเตี๊ยม (Rhong Tiam) ได้รับการรับรองคุณภาพด้วยดาวมิชลิน เมื่อไม่นานมานี้ เชฟแอนดี้ได้เปิดร้านอาหารแบบเทเบิลเชฟที่กรุงเทพฯ ซึ่งมีชื่อว่า เทเบิล 38 (Table 38) โดยมีที่นั่งทั้งหมดเพียง 12 ที่นั่ง ในส่วนของเมนู ร้านนี้จะนำเสนอทั้งอาหารข้างทางและอาหารโบราณแบบไทย ๆ โดยจะเพิ่มลูกเล่นอย่างมีศิลปะของเชฟแอนดี้ เนื่องจากร้านนี้ได้รับความนิยมสูงและมีการจองโต๊ะเข้ามาเป็นจำนวนมาก คำขอสำรองโต๊ะทุกคำขอจะต้องส่งไปที่อีเมล table38reservations@gmail.com หรือเพจเฟซบุ๊กของเทเบิล 38 (table38bkk)
