Here’s a first look at Harry Winston’s latest “Histoire de Tourbillon”, the fourth such piece in a series that began in 2009.
This main feature of the watch is an interesting tri-axial tourbillon positioned at 6 o’clock — envision a tourbillon cage fitted inside a tourbillon cage fitted inside a tourbillon cage, each rotating at different rates per minute.
This timepiece with its 47mm wide cushion-shaped case is made from a mix of Zalium (a Harry Winston alloy similar to titanium) and 18k gold. Inside the watch is their new caliber HW4501 that is manually wound with a 50 hour power reserve.
Harry Winston will produce only 20 pieces of Histoire de Tourbillon 4, as penultimate watch of its Histoire de Tourbillon watch collection.
