ในงาน Watches and Wonders ประจำปี ค.ศ. 2022 ณ กรุงเจนีวา ประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ Vacheron Constantin มีการเปิดตัวนาฬิกาสำหรับคุณสุภาพสตรีด้วยกันถึงสองรุ่น ได้แก่ รุ่น Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin และ Patrimony Self-Winding อันเป็นการตอกย้ำความเป็นเลิศในงานประดิษฐ์นาฬิกาจักรกลที่มีความอ่อนช้อยในทุกรายละเอียดของการออกแบบ

At Watches and Wonders 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland, Vacheron Constantin unveiled not one but two feminine timepieces: Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin and Patrimony Self-Winding. The move further cemented the maison’s reputation for excellence in crafting mechanical watches that have gracefulness etched on every detail of their design.
Let’s start with the Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin, a timepiece designed for ladies with a passion for highly sophisticated mechanical watches that also serve as jewelry to enhance their looks. The 36.5 mm diameter, 8.43 mm thick case comes in 18K white gold or 18K pink gold, with a bezel and lugs set with 76 round-cut diamonds and a crown adorned with one round-cut diamond. Shimmering beautifully amidst the brilliance of the surrounding diamonds, the mother-of-pearl dial comes in blue-gray on the white gold case, and white on the pink gold case.
The Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin indicates the hours and minutes with the central hands and has four sub-dials displaying a self-adjusting perpetual calendar that automatically corrects for months with less than 31 days as well as leap years, when February has 29 days. This ingenious function comes courtesy of the in-house Calibre 1120 QP, which Vacheron Constantin has previously used in several men’s models.
Every facet of the timepiece bears witness to the level of care given to its creation. The transparent sapphire crystal caseback reveals the meticulous handcrafted finishing of the movement components. The strap of alligator leather comes in a shade matching the dial and is secured by a gold pin buckle in the same shade as the case, set with 17 round-cut diamonds. Thanks to the integrated push button, the strap can be conveniently removed and replaced with one of a different color (available for purchase from the maison).
Now let’s take a look at the Patrimony Self-Winding timepiece, inspired by a Vacheron Constantin archival model from 1957 with a classic round, ultra-thin style. The proportions of the new model have been revisited; the curve of the 36.5 mm diameter case and the slightly convex dial have been redesigned, the latter featuring subtle shades with a gradient-effect composition that is lighter in the center and progressively darker towards the edge. The care given to the dial aesthetic is apparent in the color of the date disc at 6 o’clock, which matches the color of the dial.
An embodiment of timeless elegance, the Patrimony Self-Winding is powered by an in-house 2450 Q6/3 movement driving displays of the hours and minutes along with central seconds and an aperture-type date. The case comes in two versions: 18K white gold and 18K pink gold. Gem-setting provides further variations: 72 round-cut diamonds on the bezel, or 48 round-cut diamonds positioned between the applied gold hour-markers. The iteration with the white gold case comes with a deep blue dial and night blue strap, while the one with the pink gold case features a blush pink dial and rosy beige strap. The strap comes with an integrated push button for convenient strap removal and replacement without the use of tools.
