สัมผัสความสงบและงดงามของหอมนสิการ ดินแดนพุทธศิลป์กลางขุนเขาสระบุรี

สระบุรีเป็นจังหวัดที่อุดมไปด้วยธรรมชาติ รวมถึงแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทั้งทางประวัติศาสตร์และทางวัฒนธรรม ด้วยระยะทางเพียง 2 ชั่วโมงจากกรุงเทพมหานคร ทำให้ที่นี่กลายเป็นจุดหมายปลายทางยอดนิยมอีกหนึ่งแห่งสำหรับผู้ที่ต้องการหลีกหนีความวุ่นวายจากเมืองใหญ่แต่ก็ไม่อยากเสียเวลากับการเดินทางมากนัก โดยเฉพาะในอำเภอแก่งคอยที่มีทั้งภูเขาสูงสลับซับซ้อน ป่าไม้เขียวขจี และอากาศบริสุทธิ์ตลอดทั้งปี ที่นี่มีทั้งน้ำตกธรรมชาติ เส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติ และวัดวาอารามเก่าแก่ให้ได้สักการะ ท่ามกลางความงดงามของธรรมชาติในอำเภอแก่งคอย มีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวแห่งใหม่ที่น่าสนใจอย่าง “หอมนสิการ” ซึ่งโดดเด่นด้วยการผสมผสานงานพุทธศิลป์ร่วมสมัยเข้ากับกิจกรรมเพื่อพัฒนาจิตใจ ในบรรยากาศที่แตกต่างจากวัดทั่วไป
หอมนสิการ เป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมรูปแบบใหม่ เปิดตัวอย่างเป็นทางการไปเมื่อวันที่ 30 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2565 และได้รับการคัดเลือกเป็น 1 ใน 25 สถานที่ท่องเที่ยวสุดอันซีน ประจำปี 2566 โดยการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) หอมนสิการสร้างโดยมูลนิธิ โนอิ้ง บุดด้า ตามวิสัยทัศน์ที่จะเชื่อมโยงพุทธศาสนาเข้ากับวิถีชีวิตร่วมสมัย และเพื่อสืบสานวัฒนธรรม โดยได้เลือกทำเลที่ตั้งริมเทือกเขาพระพุทธบาทน้อยในอำเภอแก่งคอย จังหวัดสระบุรี ที่มีความสูงจากระดับน้ำทะเล 450 เมตร ท่ามกลางผืนป่าอนุรักษ์ที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ การก่อสร้างใช้เวลากว่า 5 ปี โดยอาศัยความรู้ความสามารถจากทีมงานจิตอาสาหลากหลายสาขาอาชีพ เช่น ศิลปิน นักออกแบบ สถาปนิก วิศวกร ทั้งยังคำนึงถึงการรักษาระบบนิเวศและการใช้พลังงานสะอาดเป็นหลัก
โครงการหอมนสิการมีขนาด 7.4 ไร่ ประกอบด้วยพื้นที่ส่วนต่างๆ มากมาย เช่น อาคารหอมนสิการ ที่ภายในมีส่วนพื้นที่นิทรรศการและที่ประดิษฐานสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์เพื่อสักการะบูชา, อาคารนิทรรศการ Spiritual Life ที่แสดงคำสอนของพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า เพื่อให้ความรู้ความเข้าใจที่ถูกต้องต่อพระพุทธศาสนา, อาคารสอนและปฏิบัติสมาธิ โดยอาจารย์สอนสมาธิ จัดสอนฝึก นั่งสมาธิเบื้องต้นให้กับผู้ที่สนใจ อีกทั้งยังมีบริเวณให้พักผ่อนไม่ว่าจะเป็นสวนสมาธิสำหรับผู้ที่ต้องการค้นหาความสงบ, ธรรมะคาเฟ่ที่ให้บริการเครื่องดื่ม เบเกอรี และของทานเล่นหลากเมนู, สถานที่ผ่อนคลายกึ่งเอ้าท์ดอร์ที่เรียกว่ามุม Snack and Nap, ตลาดย้อนยุคที่ขายสินค้าชุมชนและสินค้าโดยผู้ปฏิบัติธรรม เช่น งานหัตถกรรมที่ทำจากวัสดุท้องถิ่น ขนมไทย อาหารไทยพื้นบ้าน จะนั่งพักผ่อนรับประทานที่ตลาดชุมชนหรือซื้อกลับบ้านเป็นของฝากก็ได้ และล่าสุดก็มีการเปิดอาคารหอศิลป์ที่จะมีผลงานศิลปะหมุนเวียนมาแสดง อย่างในตอนนี้ก็มีนิทรรศการภาพเขียนพระโพธิสัตว์กวนอิม ผลงานของศิลปินชื่อดังชาวจีนที่แสนงดงามและทรงคุณค่า หาชมได้ยาก ซึ่งจะจัดให้ชมได้ถึงประมาณกลางเดือนพฤศจิกายนนี้เท่านั้น
ไฮไลต์ของที่นี่เห็นจะเป็นอาคารหลักอย่างอาคารหอมนสิการซึ่งมีความโดดเด่นทั้งภายในและภายนอก ตัวอาคารเป็นสีขาวตัดกับสีของธรรมชาติโดยรอบ การออกแบบเป็นสไตล์ร่วมสมัย ยอดหลังคาได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากโบสถ์วัดพุทธไธศวรรย์ จังหวัดอยุธยาที่เป็นศิลปะสมัยอยุธยาตอนต้น ผสมผสานกับศิลปะแบบขอม หน้าบันมีลวดลายแบบนีโอคลาสสิก ลวดลายภายในตัวอาคารมีการผสมผสานลวดลายสไตล์อินเดีย วิคตอเรีย และสุโขทัยให้ออกมามีความเป็นสากลอยู่ด้วย ทางเดินด้านในช่วงนิทรรศการเป็นอุโมงค์โค้งมนที่ได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากอุโมงค์ทางเดินริมฝั่งแม่น้ำอาร์โน ด้านหน้าหอศิลป์อุฟฟิซิที่เมืองฟลอเรนซ์ ประเทศอิตาลี
ภายในอาคารหอมนสิการจะแบ่งออกเป็นส่วนนิทรรศการ “การเดินทางของพระพุทธเจ้า” แสดงประวัติของประพุทธเจ้าที่จะพาผู้ชมย้อนกลับไปสู่อินเดียเมื่อประมาณ 2,500 ปีก่อน สไตล์นิทรรศการร่วมสมัยที่มีทั้งภาพ แสง สี เสียง และวิดีโอสื่อผสมระดับภาพยนตร์ ที่ผู้ชมจะได้ซึมซับผ่านประสาทสัมผัสทั้ง 5 ในรูปแบบที่น่าจะไม่เคยเห็นที่ไหนมาก่อน เป็นหอจัตุรัสที่ประดิษฐานพระบรมโลกนาถ พระพุทธรูปองค์สีทอง ขนาดหน้าตัก 30 นิ้ว พระบรมสารีริกธาตุ 18 พระองค์ และ ภาพปักพระบรมโลกนาถสุดวิจิตรที่เป็นภาพปักมือ 651,000 ฝีเข็ม ถัดจากหอจตุรัสจะเป็นนิทรรศการในเส้นทางขาออกที่มีลักษณะโมเดิร์นแกลอรีที่ให้คติธรรมและแนวทางในการดำเนินชีวิตประจำวัน ทั้งนี้ผู้เข้าชมสามารถบันทึกภาพได้ที่บริเวณหอจตุรัสและนิทรรศการขาออกเท่านั้น
ทั้งนี้ หอมนสิการเปิดให้บริการทุกวันยกเว้นวันจันทร์ และจะรับนักท่องเที่ยวชุดสุดท้ายก่อนเวลาปิด 30 นาที การเข้าชมอาคารมนสิการจะมีค่าเข้าชมเพื่อนำไปสนับสนุนค่าสาธารณูปโภค สำหรับรายละเอียดสามารถติดต่อสอบถามได้โดยตรงที่ทุกช่องทางของหอมนสิการ

A place rich in natural, historical, and cultural tourist attractions located just two hours’ drive from Bangkok, Saraburi province is popular with those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of a big city without wasting a lot of time on travel. Particularly popular is Kaeng Khoi District, known for its mountains and forests, year-round fresh air, and a variety of attractions from waterfalls and nature trails to ancient Buddhist temples. Kaeng Khoi is also home to a new, one-of-a-kind attraction: Manasikarn Hall, a place that offers captivating contemporary Buddhist art and spiritually uplifting activities in an atmosphere distinctly different from that found at most temples.
Since its official opening in September 2022, Manasikarn Hall has come to represent a new type of cultural attraction and was named one of the top 25 “Most Unseen Attractions” of 2023 by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). Built by the Knowing Buddha Foundation with the aim to connect Buddhism with contemporary life and contribute to cultural conservation, Manasikarn Hall is nestled by Phra Phutthabat Noi mountain, which rises around 450 meters above sea level, surrounded by protected forest land. Taking over five years to complete, the place benefits from the knowledge and abilities of a team of volunteers from different walks of life, including artists, designers, architects and engineers, who put important consideration on ecological conservation and clean energy.
Occupying 7.4 rai (2.92 acre) of land, the complex comprises several buildings. Manasikarn Hall, the main structure, houses a permanent exhibition and sacred objects. The Spiritual Life building showcases the teachings of the Buddha with the aim to foster correct understanding of Buddhism. There is also a meditation hall with instructors to provide basic meditation instruction to interested visitors, a meditation garden, Dhamma Café serving a variety of beverages, baked goods and snacks, and a semi-outdoor Snack and Nap corner. A bazaar on the compound offers products made by the local community and meditation practitioners, including handicrafts made from local materials, Thai sweets and local foods, which you can buy and consume onsite or take home as souvenirs. A recently opened art gallery showcases a rotation of art works; the current exhibition, featuring paintings of the goddess Kuan Yin by a renowned Chinese artist, will be on view until mid-November.
The main highlight of any visit is an exploration of Manasikarn Hall, a building of outstanding beauty, both inside and out. Its white color and contemporary design make it stand out from the surrounding landscape. The roof is inspired by that of the ordination hall of Ayutthaya’s Buddhaisawan Temple, a cross between the early-Ayutthaya and Khom styles, while the gable features Neoclassical decorations. Interior decoration combines elements of Indian, Victorian and Sukhothai art, giving the building an international aesthetic. The arched corridor running through the exhibition zone is inspired by the loggia that runs along the River Arno, passing in front of the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.
Inside, the hall is divided into different zones. The first zone is devoted to the exhibition, “Journey to the Life of the Buddha,” which is designed to transport visitors back in time to India over 2,500 years ago. The use of lighting, audio-visual, and cinematic mixed media creates a truly immersive narrative. The next zone, called the sacred hall, contains a golden Buddha image, 18 holy relics, and an intricate hand-embroidered image of the Buddha. Leaving the hall, visitors proceed through the final section, a modern gallery depicting how one can follow the teachings of the Buddha in daily life. All parts of the hall are beautiful, but keep in mind that photography is allowed only in the sacred hall and gallery.
Manasikarn Hall is open Tuesday to Friday, 10 am to 11 pm, Saturday and Sunday, 9.30 am to 6 pm, and is closed on Mondays. The last visitors are admitted 30 minutes before closing time.
