Somewhere through the Rainbow

Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson is known for employing organic elemental materials (such as light and water) to create large-scale sculptures and installations that yield a special viewing experience. In his latest installation, he constructs a world of psychedelic prisms, enveloping the viewers with an Alice in Wonderland- like dream scape.

His carefully constructed umbrella of mirrors resemble a mysterious and complicated visual spider’s web. All around, each side of the installation adds to the vivid and mesmeric setting. The tunnels he creates are made glass of various shapes, sizes and colors, casting different light effects in the tunnel. Walking through must be something like sitting on a rainbow.
