คุณมันนี่ ศิรวัฒน์ เป็นชายหนุ่มวัย 20 ต้นที่เติบโตมาในแวดวงธุรกิจหลากรูปแบบ ทั้งอสังหาริมทรัพย์ เรือยอร์ช เครื่องบินเจ็ท การท่องเที่ยวและเฟอร์นิเจอร์หรู ล่าสุดด้วยแพชชั่นอันแรงกล้าด้านธุรกิจบวกกับความหลงใหลในเสียงเพลงที่เขาได้คลุกคลีตั้งแต่เด็ก โดยเฉพาะในช่วงเรียนที่อังกฤษ เขาจึงได้เริ่มเดินหน้าธุรกิจเอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์ด้านดนตรี โดยเป็นผู้ถือลิขสิทธิ์การจัดเทศกาลดนตรีฮิปฮอประดับโลกที่มีไลน์อัพศิลปินสุดเจ๋งและมีกระแสตอบรับดีมากๆ อย่าง Rolling Loud ในประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการช่วงปี ค.ศ. 2023-2028 บทความ Cover Story ของเราในครั้งนี้จึงจะพาทุกคนไปเปิดมุมมองและเรื่องราวไลฟ์สไตล์ของหนุ่มรุ่นใหม่ไฟแรงคนนี้ที่เรียกได้ว่าเขาสามารถนำความชื่นชอบ ไลฟ์สไตล์ แพชชั่น และความรู้ความสามารถที่มีมารันวงการเอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์ของไทยและสร้างความสำเร็จทางธุรกิจอย่างแท้จริง
อะไรคือจุดเริ่มต้นที่ทำให้คุณมันนี่เข้าสู่โลกของธุรกิจตั้งแต่อายุยังน้อย
เริ่มจากคนรอบตัวเลยครับผม ด้วยจากที่ผมอยู่ในสภาพแวดล้อมที่คุณพ่อคุณแม่ทำงานอยู่แล้ว เป็นสภาพแวดล้อมที่ทุกคนทำงานตลอดเวลา มองเห็นคนที่ประสบความสำเร็จเยอะ ผมก็เลยอยากประสบความสำเร็จเร็ว เป็นจุดเริ่มที่อยากเข้ามามีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องในเรื่องธุรกิจตั้งแต่ต้นเลยครับ
คุณมันนี่มีใครเป็นต้นแบบหรือแรงบันดาลใจในการทำธุรกิจไหม
คนใกล้ตัวที่สุดเลยครับ คุณพ่อคุณแม่ ผมเห็นตั้งแต่เด็ก แม้กระทั่งตอนเด็กที่ผมยังเรียนยังเล่นอะไรอยู่ เขาก็จะทำงานตลอด ยุ่งตลอด แม้จะได้ใช้เวลากับเขาน้อย แต่ผมเห็นความเก่งของเขาที่จะอยากจะประสบความสำเร็จ แล้วผมโตมากับเขา เลยได้ดีเวลลอป ฟังจากเขา อยู่เรื่อยๆ ครับผม
ที่ผ่านมาคุณมันนี่เคยจับธุรกิจอะไรมาแล้วบ้าง และรู้ว่าตัวเองชอบหรือไม่ชอบเร็วเพียงใด
ผมเริ่มมาตั้งแต่มหาวิทยาลัยครับผม ธุรกิจแรกนี่เป็นเอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์ก่อนเลย ผมกับเพื่อนเริ่มทำเทศกาลดนตรีเล็กๆ เรียกคอนเสิร์ตดีกว่า เป็นแบบดีเจเปิดแผ่นในคลับเล็กๆ ที่มหาวิทยาลัยเพื่อหารายได้เสริม คุณพ่อคุณแม่ให้ตังค์ใช้น้อยมากเพื่อจะได้ฝึกหาตังค์ด้วยตัวเอง เราก็ฝึกเก็บเงินออม แล้วก็ลงทุนกับงานสเกลเล็กก่อนที่มหาวิทยาลัย ก็ทำอยู่เป็นระยะเวลา 3 ปีที่อยู่มหาวิทยาลัยที่อังกฤษ ก็เป็นโปรเจ็กต์ที่ประสบความสำเร็จและเป็นแบรนด์งานชื่อ Syndicate เป็นเทศกาลดนตรีเล็กๆ ที่อยู่ในเมืองที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในตอนนั้นเลยครับ
แล้วจากนั้นผมก็ได้กลับมาไทย เริ่มเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมกับธุรกิจที่บ้าน ธุรกิจที่บ้านก็จะทำเรื่องอสังหาฯ โรงแรม การท่องเที่ยวต่างๆ ด้วย เข้ามามีส่วนร่วมแล้วก็ลองทำหลายฟิลด์นะครับ อย่างแรกเลยก็คือการก่อสร้าง มาลองฝึกอยู่กับผู้รับเหมา ตั้งแต่การศึกษาดูวัสดุก่อสร้าง ทำงานกับผู้รับเหมา การออกแบบ คุมทุกอย่าง เพราะผมจบสถาปนิกมา ก็เลยชอบในเรื่องของการออกแบบสิ่งก่อสร้าง สนุกไหม ก็สนุกเพราะผมเป็นคนชอบตึกอยู่แล้ว เป็นคนชอบออกแบบ ชอบสเกตช์ ชอบวาดภาพมาตั้งแต่เด็ก รู้อยู่แล้วว่าอยากจะเป็นสถาปนิกตั้งแต่อายุ 10 ขวบได้ แล้วเป้าหมายก็คือเป็นอย่างนี้มาตลอดเลย แล้วความเป็นสถาปนิกผมว่ามันก็มีความครีเอทีฟในตัวด้วย ชอบไหม มันก็มีช่วงที่ชอบและไม่ชอบ เพราะเราได้เจอปัญหา แล้วเราก็ไม่รู้วิธีแก้ หาโซลูชั่นอย่างไร นั่นเป็นช่วงที่เรารู้สึกตัน แต่เราก็ต้องสู้ ทำไป หาโซลูชั่นไป ปรึกษาคนไป แล้วก็รู้เลยว่าแต่ละอย่างไม่มีใครประสบความสำเร็จด้วยตัวคนเดียวครับ
จากธุรกิจที่ทำมา คิดว่าตัวเองชอบธุรกิจแนวไหนที่สุด
ก็เป็นธุรกิจเอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์ตอนนี้ที่ทำอยู่เป็นหลักนี่แหละครับผม เพราะว่าเราเป็นคนชอบออกไปข้างนอก ชอบเจอผู้คน ชอบความสนุกสนาน ตั้งแต่ประสบการณ์ที่ได้ทำตอนมหาวิทยาลัยช่วงที่เรียนสถาปัตย์ด้วยแล้วทำเอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์ด้วย ได้เห็นผู้คนยิ้ม แฮปปี้ มีความสุข มันก็ทำให้เราเกิดความสุขใจกับเขาไปด้วยครับ
คุณมันนี่คิดว่าความชื่นชอบส่วนตัวช่วยสร้างแรงบันดาลใจในการทำธุรกิจของคุณมันนี่ได้อย่างไร
ความชื่นชอบส่วนตัวนั้นคือเป็นจุดแรกเลยที่ตั้งเป้า เราต้องรักสิ่งที่เราทำ เพราะว่าเราลองทำสิ่งที่เราไม่เอนจอยแล้วมันจะออกมาไม่ได้ฟูลสตีมอย่างที่เราต้องการ แล้วการมีแรงบันดาลใจเป็นสิ่งที่เรารัก มันจะทำให้สิ่งที่เราออกมาดี แล้วมันจะไม่รู้สึกเหมือนว่าเราทำงานอยู่ด้วย มันจะเหมือนเรากำลังทำอะไรที่เรามีแพชชั่นอยู่นะครับ แล้วจุดหลักๆ ที่ต้องเสริมคือเป้าหมาย ต้องมีเป้าหมาย เพราะถ้าเป้าหมายไม่ชัดเจน การทำด้วยแพชชั่นนั้นก็จะไม่ชัดเจนเหมือนกันครับผม
จากมุมมองของคุณมันนี่ คิดว่าปัจจุบันธุรกิจเอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์ในประเทศไทยมีความท้าทายและข้อจำกัดอะไรบ้าง
ความท้าทายของวงการเอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์ตอนนี้ถ้าในเรื่องของเทศกาลดนตรีนะครับ ก็คือ คู่แข่งเยอะ แล้วก็ความท้าทายในการที่เราจะทำให้เราต่างก็ค่อนข้างชาเลนจ์พอสมควร สองคือในเรื่องของเทคโนโลยีที่เราจะต้องดีเวลลอปแล้วทำให้ทันในโลกที่เติบโตค่อนข้างเร็ว ณ ตอนนี้นะครับ ส่วนอุปสรรคกับการทำเอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์ตอนนี้นะครับก็จะมีเรื่องโรคระบาดที่ตอนแรกเราประสบกัน ตอนแรกผมมีไอเดียที่อยากจะทำเทศกาลดนตรีตั้งแต่ก่อนนั้นแล้ว แล้วพอมันเกิดขึ้นมาก็ทำให้มีหลายๆ อย่างที่เราต้องจัดเตรียมในเรื่องของโรคระบาด เทคโนโลยีใหม่ๆ ต้องดีเวลลอป ปรับตัวให้ทันกับสถานการณ์นั้นๆ ก็เป็นการท้าทายมากครับผม
แล้วคุณมันนี่คิดว่าธุรกิจของคุณมันนี่ต่างจากคู่แข่งอย่างไร
เริ่มจากอย่างนี้ก่อนแล้วกันครับ คือ ผมมีแพชชั่นในการทำเทศกาลดนตรีมาตั้งแต่มหาวิทยาลัยที่บอกไป ผมเลยอยากเอ็กซ์พลอร์แล้วกลับมาทำในส่วนนี้ เพราะยังเป็นแรงบันดาลใจเล็กๆ ที่อยากเห็นความเอนจอยของผู้คนในประเทศไทยของเราเอง เลยเริ่มหาตัวธุรกิจเทศกาลดนตรีที่แตกต่างแล้วในไทยยังไม่มี ผมก็เลยเริ่มบินรอบโลกไปศึกษาเทศกาลดนตรีต่างๆ ในแต่ละที่ๆ มี แล้วได้เจอเทศกาลดนตรีนี้ที่มันแตกต่างในด้านของการจัดงาน แสงสีเสียง แล้วก็ศิลปิน ที่เป็นฮิปฮอปเฟสติวัลที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก แล้วยังไม่เคยมีในเอเชียมาก่อน ก็เลยเป็นจุดเริ่มที่อยากจะเอาไอเดียนี้มาให้คนไทยและคนเอเชียได้เห็น และเป็นเป้าหมายของเดสติเนชั่นในเอเชียครับ
คุณมันนี่ชอบฟังเพลงแนวไหน แล้วในช่วงนี้มีเพลงที่ชื่นชอบหรืออินเป็นพิเศษหรือไม่
เอาจริงๆ ผมฟังทุกแบบ ทุกสไตล์ครับ ชอบทุกเพลงเลย แต่ถ้านอกจากฮิปฮอปนะครับ ซึ่งฮิปฮอปฟังอยู่แล้วทุกสไตล์ ทั้งวิซ คาลิฟา, เอมิเน็ม, เดรค, คานเย่ ชอบหมดเลย แต่ที่ชอบในเรื่องของการโฟกัสที่สุดคือ ดนตรีคลาสสิกครับ ผมชอบดนตรีคลาสสิกเพราะผมเล่นเปียโนด้วย แล้วก็ชอบตรงที่ดนตรีคลาสสิกมันเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของเพลงนะครับ แล้วก็ได้ใช้ประโยชน์คือฟังแล้วก็ทำให้สมองค่อนข้างเฉียบคมในการทำงาน ในการใช้ชีวิตประจำวันไปด้วยครับ เหมือนเราได้เคลียร์หัวแล้วคิดชัดเจนขึ้นพอมีดนตรีนี้มาช่วย
เสียงเพลงและดนตรีมีบทบาทอย่างไรบ้างในชีวิตประจำวันของคุณมันนี่
เสียงเพลงและดนตรีเป็นจุดสำคัญเลยเพราะว่าตั้งแต่มหาวิทยาลัย ตั้งแต่เด็กเป็นคนชอบฟังเพลง เพราะว่าเพื่อ หนึ่ง… คุมอารมณ์ตัวเอง สอง… เป็นการโฟกัสในการเรียน สาม… เป็นการบิลด์เอเนอร์จี้สำหรับอะไรสักอย่าง เพลงแต่ละสไตล์ที่ผมฟังก็จะแล้วแต่มู้ด แล้วแต่อารมณ์ ช่วงไหนที่รู้สึกอารมณ์ไม่ดีๆ ดาวน์ๆ ก็จะเปิดเพลงที่มันสนุกสนาน เสียงดนตรีที่อัพบีทในระดับหนึ่ง เอาง่ายๆ เพลงคือไลฟ์สไตล์ที่เราต้องเกี่ยวข้องด้วยตลอด มันเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของเราที่จะต้องปรับมู้ดกับเราไปด้วยครับ
คุณมันนี่มีงานอดิเรก กีฬา หรือความสนใจอื่นๆ อะไรอีกบ้าง
งานอดิเรกผมคือชอบออกแบบครับ ออกแบบตึก ออกแบบภายใน อินทีเรีย แล้วก็ชอบตกแต่งบ้าน ชอบงานอาร์ต ชอบไปมิวเซียม นี่คือแพชชั่นในการบินไปต่างประเทศแล้วได้ดูงานอาร์ตต่างๆ ได้เห็นการประมูลงานอาร์ต ได้เห็นงานอาร์ตที่ค่อนข้างหายาก ให้เห็นสถาปัตยกรรมของแต่ละบ้านเมืองที่ค่อนข้างยูนีค เห็นแล้วก็อยากมาดีเวลลอปในสไตล์ของตัวเองที่เราได้มีความฝันในด้านนี้มาตั้งแต่เด็กครับ
มีพิพิธภัณฑ์หรืออาร์ตแกลเลอรีที่ชื่นชอบเป็นพิเศษไหม
พิพิธภัณฑ์ลูฟวร์ที่ปารีสครับ อันนั้นน่าจะเยอะที่สุด แล้วก็ค่อนข้างวาไรตี้ ผมชอบปารีสเพราะว่าสถาปัตยกรรมของเขาค่อนข้างยูนีค แล้วตัวเมืองเองก็สวยงามมาก แล้วก็เต็มไปด้วยประวัติศาสตร์ ก็เลยชอบเมืองปารีสแล้วก็มิวเซียมทางนั้นเป็นหลักครับ
คุณมันนี่มีวิธีบาลานซ์ชีวิตส่วนตัวและชีวิตการทำงานอย่างไร
ไม่เชิงว่าเป็นการบาลานซ์ครับ ออกแนวอินทิเกรต รวมชีวิตส่วนตัวกับการทำงานคือหนึ่งเดียว เพราะว่าผมทำในสิ่งที่เอนจอย เลยรู้สึกว่าผมไม่ได้ทำงานอยู่ดี รู้สึกเหมือนทำงานไปด้วย เอนจอยชีวิตไปด้วย มันคือแพชชั่นที่เราได้พัฒนาแล้วก็เติบโตไปเรื่อยๆ ครับ
อยากฝากอะไรถึงผู้อ่านซึ่งเป็นคนที่มีความฝันแต่อาจยังไม่กล้าลงมือทำบ้าง
อยากให้ “คีปอิทซิมเปิ้ล” เลยครับผม คือทำในสิ่งที่เรารัก แล้วก็ตั้งเป้าหมาย เริ่มจากสิ่งเล็กๆ ก่อน ค่อยๆ สตาร์ทเพื่อสร้างความมั่นใจในตัวเราเอง พอเราได้ความมั่นใจนั้นแล้วมันจะดีเวลลอปความกล้าขึ้นเรื่อยๆ แล้วเราจะกล้าลองผิดลองถูก แต่สิ่งสำคัญคือต้องเริ่มเลยครับ

Sirawat “Money” Thepcharoen grew up exposed to different types of businesses, from real estate to yachts, jet aircraft, and luxury furniture. Now in his twenties, he is driven by a strong passion for business and a fascination with music that originated in childhood and flourished during his studies in England. Following the recently launch of his music-focused entertainment business, he now holds the Thailand rights to Rolling Loud, a world-class hip hop festival with a fantastic lineup of artists and enthusiastic public reception, for 2023-2028. In our Cover Story, the young entrepreneur shares how he combines his personal likes, lifestyle, passion and talent in running his entertainment business and building true business success.
You entered the business world at a young age. Can you tell us how it all began?
I owed it to the people around me. I grew up in an environment where both of my parents were working people and everyone was working all the time. I saw a lot of successful people and it made me want to become a quick success. That’s what got me wanting to go into business.
Do you have role models or sources of inspiration in business?
My role models are the people closest to me: my parents. When I was a school kid, they were always busy with work. We didn’t have a lot of time to spend together, but seeing how good my parents were at what they did made me want to be successful. Growing up with my parents, I developed [an interest in business] and heard all about it from them.
What businesses have you tried your hands at and how quickly did you find out whether you enjoyed them?
I got started while still at university. My first venture was in entertainment. My friends and I launched a small music festival. Let’s just call it a concert. We worked as DJs, playing music in a small club at university to make extra money. My parents gave me a very small allowance as an incentive for me to start making my own money. I started saving and investing small-scale all through the three years I was at university in England. The project was successful and eventually became Syndicate, a small music festival in the city I was living in at the time.
After returning to Thailand, I joined our family business, which spans real estate, hospitality and tourism. Since then, I have tried my hands at different aspects of the business, starting with construction. I trained with our contractor, learning about construction materials, working with contractors, designing, and overseeing everything. I am an architecture graduate and I am into building design. I have always liked buildings and have loved designing, sketching and drawing since I was a child. I knew when I was around 10 that I wanted to become an architect. I think architects have innate creativity. Do I enjoy [my work]? Sometimes I do, and sometimes I don’t. When you find a problem and you don’t know how to find a solution, that’s when the pressure comes on. But you need to fight on, keep looking for a solution and consulting with people. [Going through this] makes you aware that no one succeeds on their own in any of these things.
From your experience, what business do you enjoy the most?
The entertainment business I am currently doing as my main job. I enjoy going out, meeting people and having fun. The experience I had during university, when I was studying architecture and doing entertainment on the side, made me realize that seeing people smiling and being happy makes me happy, too.
How do you derive business inspiration from things you like?
My personal likes became my first focus. You have to love what you do. I have tried doing things that I didn’t really enjoy, but they never went full steam ahead the way I wanted them to. Getting inspiration from what you love helps you to achieve a good outcome. You don’t feel like you’re working when you are doing something you have a passion for. One big thing is having a goal. If you don’t have a clear goal, working with passion won’t necessarily lead to a clear outcome.
In your view, what are the challenges and limitations facing the entertainment sector in Thailand?
As far as music festivals are concerned, high competition and finding ways to differentiate yourself is a challenge. Technology is another. We need to develop technology and do it fast enough to keep up with a rapidly growing world. As for obstacles, the first one we faced was the pandemic. I already had the idea to start a music festival before the pandemic hit. Once it was here, we had to make many preparations related to the pandemic. Developing new technology and adapting to situations in a timely manner also pose a big challenge.
And how does your business differ from your competitors, in your view?
As I said earlier, I have had a passion for running music festivals since my university years. I wanted to first explore it and then come home to work on it here. One small inspiration for me is seeing people here in Thailand enjoy themselves, so I began to look for a music festival that was different from the rest and didn’t yet exist in Thailand. I flew around the world to look into various music festivals wherever they take place. And I found this music festival, which stands apart in terms of organization, lighting, sound, and artist roster. It’s the world’s largest hip hop festival and it had never taken place in Asia. That was the beginning of how I wanted to present this idea to the people of Thailand and Asia with the goal to make it a destination in Asia.
What kinds of music do you listen to, and do you have any current favorites?
I listen to all types and all styles of music. I like them all. Besides hip hop – I listen to all styles of hip hop, Wiz Khalifa, Eminem, Drake, Kanye – what I like best is classical music. I play the piano and I like the fact that classical music is the start of music as we know it. It’s also useful. Listening to classical music helps your brain stay sharp at work and in everyday life. It helps you to clear your head and think more clearly.
What role does music play in your everyday life?
Music is very important to me. I have loved music since I was a child and have used it to, first, manage my emotions, second, to help me focus on my study, and third, to build up energy for a specific purpose. I listen to different styles of music depending on my mood and feeling. When I feel down and moody, I will play fun and upbeat music. To put it simply, music is a lifestyle that you constantly engage with. It’s part of you and needs to adapt to your mood along with you.
What are your other hobbies and interests?
I enjoy design as a hobby. I design buildings and interiors and like to decorate houses. I also like art and museum-going. It’s my passion to fly to foreign countries, take a look at different kinds of art and art auctions, see rare art and the unique architecture of each city and country. It makes me want to develop my own work in my own style, which has also been one of my dreams since childhood.
Do you have a favorite art gallery or museum?
The Louvre in Paris, which probably has the largest art collection. Its collection is really varied. I like Paris for its unique architecture. The city itself is very beautiful and full of history. I love Paris and its museums.
How do you balance your personal life and your work life?
It’s not so much balancing as integrating my personal life and work life into one. Because I do what I enjoy, it doesn’t feel like work. I feel like I am working and enjoying life at the same time. It’s a passion that I have developed and that continues to grow.
What would you tell our readers who have dreams but maybe lack the courage to pursue them?
I would say, “Keep it simple”. Do what you love and set your goals. It could be something small at first. Start slow and build your confidence. Once you have confidence, your courage will start to grow. And with courage, you will dare to experiment with trial and error. But the important thing is to start now.
