ความที่คุณไอส์ ภัทรนันท์ กิตติสาร เติบโตมาในครอบครัวผู้คร่ำหวอดอยู่ในธุรกิจท่องเที่ยว โดยเฉพาะการท่องเที่ยวใต้น้ำ ทำให้ตัวเธอเองได้คลุกคลีอยู่ในวงจรของอุตสาหกรรมนี้และธรรมชาติมาตั้งแต่เด็ก จนได้ขึ้นมานั่งแท่นผู้บริหารเรือแบบลีฟอบอร์ดเพื่อนักดำน้ำระดับไฮเอ็นด์ที่ต้องการไปชมความงามตามจุดต่างๆ ในประเทศอินโดนีเซีย Luxuo Thailand จึงขอจุดประกายแห่งนักเดินทางในตัวทุกท่าน ผ่านมุมมองและประสบการณ์ของคุณไอส์ด้วย Cover Story ประจำเดือนสิงหาคมนี้

ก็ต้องบอกว่าคุณพ่อของไอส์เขาชอบถ่ายภาพใต้น้ำมากเลย ตั้งแต่ไอส์เด็กๆ แล้ว เขาก็จะชอบถ่ายตั้งแต่กล้องฟิล์มจนมาถึงวิดีโอ แล้วเอามาเปิดให้ดูที่บ้านค่ะ ไอส์ก็เลยคิดว่านั่นน่าจะเป็นการจุดประกายทำให้ไอส์ชอบไปเที่ยว แล้วก็อยากดูว่าโลกภายนอกเป็นอย่างไร โลกใต้น้ำเป็นอย่างไรค่ะ
ชอบไปเที่ยวซ้ำที่เดิมๆ หรือไปทำความรู้จักกับที่ใหม่ๆ มากกว่ากันคะ
สำหรับไอส์นะคะ ไอส์ชอบไปที่ใหม่ๆ มากๆ เลยค่ะ เพราะว่าทุกครั้งที่ไปที่ใหม่ๆ ไอส์จะรู้สึกตื่นเต้นมากๆ เหมือนกับเราได้เอ็กซ์พลอร์ แล้วก็จะทำให้เรามีพลังมากๆ แค่คิดก็ตื่นเต้นแล้วค่ะ

สำหรับไอส์นะคะ ลักษณะอาจจะดูชอบเมือง แต่จริงๆ แล้วเนี่ย ไอส์เป็นคนที่ชอบธรรมชาติมากๆ แล้วก็ชอบเที่ยวอะไรที่เกี่ยวกับประวัติศาสตร์ ไปในที่ๆ มีประวัติศาสตร์ก็ชอบเหมือนกันค่ะ
ด้วยความที่ชีวิตคุณไอส์ผูกพันกับท้องทะเล คุณไอส์มองว่าทะเลที่ใดสวยงามและเหมาะกับการดำน้ำที่สุด
ไอส์คิดว่าทะเลทั่วโลกในแต่ละส่วนก็จะมีความยูนีคแตกต่างกันไป แต่ด้วยอาชีพของไอส์เองอยู่ที่อินโดนีเซีย ไอส์เลยได้มีโอกาสดำน้ำที่อินโดนีเซียเยอะ สำหรับไอส์ก็เลยคิดว่าเป็นประเทศนี้ค่ะ เนื่องจากว่านอกจากจะมีสายพันธุ์ปะการังที่ตอนนี้ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลกแล้ว ก็จะมีปลาหลากหลายสายพันธุ์ แล้วนอกจากใต้น้ำจะสวยแล้ว บนบกก็สวยเหมือนกันค่ะ
ประสบการณ์การเดินทางทริปที่รู้สึกว่าน่าจดจำที่สุดของคุณไอส์
จริงๆ แล้วทริปที่น่าประทับใจก็มีหลายทริปนะคะ แต่ต้องบอกว่าสำหรับไอส์ทริปที่น่าจดจำที่สุด ณ ตอนนี้ คือเป็นทริปแรกที่ได้ออกเรือหลังจากที่เราเจอโควิดกันมาสักพัก และเป็นทริปแรกที่สามารถรับลูกค้าต่างประเทศได้ค่ะ ซึ่งทริปแรกก็จะเป็นกลุ่มเพื่อนๆ ไอส์เองที่ไป ไอส์ประทับใจเพราะตอนที่เพื่อนๆ ขึ้นเรือ เรามองหน้ากันก็น้ำตาไหล ดีใจกัน แล้วก็รู้สึกดีใจที่ได้มีประสบการณ์ร่วมกับเพื่อนๆ ในที่สวยๆ ค่ะ
ทุกวันนี้ยังมีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในฝันที่ยังไม่เคยไปหรือไม่
มีค่ะ ถ้าเอาเป็นบัคเก็ตลิสต์ที่สูงสุดของไอส์เลยนะคะ ไอส์อยากไปนอกโลกค่ะ คือไอส์อยากนั่งเครื่องบินอวกาศออกไป แล้วก็อยากได้มีโอกาสมองกลับมาโลกว่าจะสวยแค่ไหน
คุณไอส์มักจะวางแผนการเดินทางล่วงหน้านานๆ เพื่อให้ได้ทุกสิ่งที่ต้องการ หรือเลือกวางแผนล่วงหน้าไม่นานเพราะเผื่อเรื่องความไม่แน่นอนในสถานการณ์ของโลก
ถ้าให้ไอส์เป็นคนแนะนำ โดยส่วนตัวไอส์เอง ไอส์เป็นคนที่วางแพลนค่อนข้างนานสำหรับทริปที่เราอยากไป อย่างน้อยคือ 6 เดือนถึง 1 ปีค่ะ เพราะว่าสำหรับที่เที่ยวที่ดีๆ โรงแรมที่ยูนีคจริงๆ เวลาการจองก็จะค่อนข้างนานค่ะ เพราะฉะนั้นถ้าเราอยากไปที่จุดหมายนั้น ต้องรอโรงแรมนี้เท่านั้นหรือเที่ยวที่เรือนี้เท่านั้น ไอส์ก็จะต้องวางแผนยาวนานค่ะ
อุปกรณ์ที่ขาดไม่ได้เลยในทุกทริปของคุณไอส์คืออะไรคะ
จริงๆ แล้วมี 3 อย่างค่ะ อย่างที่หนึ่งนะคะก็คือหนังสือ เพราะว่าไอส์ชอบอ่านหนังสือระหว่างทางค่ะ อย่างที่สองก็คือรองเท้าวิ่ง อย่างที่สามก็คือหูฟัง รองเท้าวิ่งกับหูฟังนี่คือสำคัญมาก เพราะไอส์ว่าเวลาที่เราไปเที่ยวในแต่ละที่ การที่เราได้มีโอกาสวิ่งและได้เห็นคนใช้ชีวิตในแต่ละที่จริงๆ มันทำให้เราซึมซับ แล้วก็รู้สึกเข้าใจจุดหมายนั้นๆ ได้ดียิ่งขึ้น

ถ้าเราเลือกจุดหมายแล้วใช่ไหมคะ ไอส์เป็นคนที่ชอบหาที่พักแปลกๆ ใหม่ๆ หรือที่ที่ทุกคนไม่ค่อยไป ไอส์ก็แนะนำว่า ก่อนจะไปอยากให้ทุกคนได้ลองอ่านหาข้อมูลเยอะๆ ก่อนค่ะ เพื่อที่เราจะได้รู้ว่ามีตัวเลือกอะไรบ้าง บางทีที่ๆ เราไปเป็นโลคอล เราอาจจะหาไม่เจอใน Google Maps ที่เป็นภาษาอังกฤษ ก็ขอให้เสาะหาตั้งใจลองดูในภาษาท้องถิ่นนั้นๆ ไอส์คิดว่าเราจะได้เจออะไรที่ดีๆ เยอะเลยค่ะ
สุดท้ายนี้เราอยากทราบมุมมองของคุณไอส์ว่าการท่องเที่ยวระดับไฮเอ็นด์ในอนาคตมีแนวโน้มจะเป็นอย่างไรค่ะ
สำหรับความคิดเห็นของไอส์นะคะ ไอส์คิดว่าการท่องเที่ยวไฮเอ็นด์เติบโตอย่างแน่นอนเลย เพราะว่ากลุ่มทาร์เก็ตมาร์เก็ตก็ยังมีการใช้จ่ายมากขึ้น แต่แนวโน้มของลักชัวรีทราเวลมาร์เก็ตนี่ไอส์คิดว่าจะไปในทางอีโคเฟรนด์ลีมากขึ้น ใช้พลาสติกน้อยลง ซึ่งเป็นส่วนที่สำคัญมาก แล้วก็พยายามหาวัสดุที่สามารถทดแทนได้ และที่สำคัญไอส์คิดว่าการท่องเที่ยวลักชัวรีในอนาคตก็จะเน้นในด้านของเวลบีอิ้งหรือว่าการดูแลใจตนเองมากขึ้น หรือการค้นพบตนเองเป็นเซลฟ์เอ็กซ์เพรสชันค่ะ

Ize Pattaranun Kittisarn grew up in a family deeply involved in the tourism industry, especially underwater tourism. This gave her early exposure to the business and nature, eventually leading her to become the operator of a high-end liveaboard diving service in Indonesia. For this August’s Cover Story, Luxuo Thailand invites you to discover your inner traveler through her unique perspectives and experiences.
When did you first realize you had a passion for travel?
I’d say it started with my father, who was really into underwater photography. Since I was a kid, he’s always been taking pictures – from film cameras to video – and then he’d show them at home. I think that’s what sparked my love for travel and made me curious about what the world, especially the underwater world, is like.
Do you prefer revisiting favorite places or exploring new ones?
For me, I’m all about exploring new places. Every time I go somewhere new, I feel so excited, like I’m on an adventure. It really energizes me. Just thinking about it gets me excited already.
How would you describe your travel style?
I might come across as someone who enjoys the city, but in reality, I’m a nature lover. I’m also really into places with historical significance. I love visiting spots with a rich history.
Since your life is closely tied to the sea, where do you think has the most beautiful and ideal waters for diving?
I think every sea around the world has its own unique charm. But since my work is based in Indonesia, I’ve had the chance to dive there a lot. So, for me, it’s Indonesia. Besides having the world’s largest variety of coral species, it’s home to an incredible diversity of fish. And it’s not just beautiful underwater – the landscapes above are stunning too.
What’s the most memorable trip you’ve ever taken?
There have been so many memorable trips, but I’d say the most unforgettable one for me right now is the first boat trip I took after we had been dealing with the pandemic for a while. It was also the first time international travelers were received again. That first trip was with my group of friends, and it was really special. When they boarded the boat, we looked at each other and just started crying. We were so happy. It was such a joy to share that experience with friends in such a beautiful place.
Are there any dream destinations you haven’t visited yet?
Yes, there are! At the top of my bucket list is outer space. I want to take a ride in a spacecraft out there and have the chance to look back at the earth to see just how beautiful it really is.
Do you usually plan your trips well in advance to make sure everything is perfect, or do you prefer to leave room for flexibility?
If I were to give advice, I personally like to plan well in advance for trips I’m really excited about, at least six months to a year ahead. For top-notch destinations and truly unique hotels, the booking time can be quite long. As I am specific about my destinations, hotels or boats, I have to plan my trips quite well in advance.
What are the essentials you can’t travel without?
There are three things I can’t go without. First, a book, because I love reading while I’m on the move. Second, my running shoes. And third, my headphones. The running shoes and headphones are especially important because I think when you’re traveling, getting the chance to run and see how people live in different places really helps you soak up and understand that destination better.
Can you share some tips on how you prepare for a trip?
Once I’ve chosen a destination, I like to find unique, new places to stay or spots that aren’t very well known. My advice is to do a lot of research before you go so you know what options are out there. Sometimes, the places you visit are local and might not show up on Google Maps in English. So I suggest searching in the local language. You’ll discover so many hidden gems that way.
Finally, what are your thoughts on the future of high-end travel?
In my opinion, high-end travel is definitely on the rise. The target market is spending more, but I think the trend in luxury travel is moving towards being more eco-friendly, with less plastic use, which is so important. People are seeking out alternative materials. I also believe that luxury travel in the future will focus more on well-being, self-care and self-expression.
