Danone

Airbus
Airbus เป็นบริษัทผู้ผลิตอากาศยานข้ามชาติของยุโรป แม้จะจดทะเบียนในประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์แต่คนจะคุ้นเคยกันว่าเป็นบริษัทสัญชาติฝรั่งเศสเพราะมีสำนักงานใหญ่และโรงงานประกอบหลักอยู่ที่บลายัค ชานเมืองตูลูส ซึ่งได้ชื่อว่าเป็น “บ้านของ Airbus”
Airbus Industrie ถือกำเนิดขึ้นในปี ค.ศ. 1970 จากการร่วมทุนของรัฐบาลยุโรปหลายๆ ประเทศที่ตั้งบริษัทขึ้นมาเพื่อหวังจะเป็นคู่แข่งกับบริษัทผลิตเครื่องบินของสหรัฐอเมริกาอย่าง Boeing และ Lockheed และยังมีบริษัทผู้ผลิตอากาศยานชั้นนำในยุโรปหลายแห่งร่วมทุนด้วย คือ Aerospatiale Matra ของฝรั่งเศส DaimlerChrysler Aerospace ของเยอรมัน British Aerospace ของอังกฤษ และ Construcciones Aeronáuticas S.A. ของสเปน หลังจากที่มีการปรับโครงสร้างหลายครั้งบริษัทก็เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น Airbus ในปี ค.ศ. 2017 จากข้อมูล ณ วันที่ 31 ธันวาคม ค.ศ. 2018 Airbus มีรัฐบาลฝรั่งเศสถือหุ้นร้อยละ 11.06 ตามมาด้วยรัฐบาลเยอรมันร้อยละ 11.04 และรัฐบาลสเปนร้อยละ 4.16 บริษัทจดทะเบียนซื้อขายในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ของฝรั่งเศส เยอรมนีและสเปน ราคาหุ้น AIR ในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ยูโรเน็กซ์ของปารีส ณ วันที่ 14 มกราคม ค.ศ. 2020 อยู่ที่ 135.10 ยูโร เมื่อเทียบกับ 89.91 ยูโร วันเดียวกันของปีที่แล้ว

France is the world’s seventh largest economy with USD 2.7 trillion nominal GDP in 2019 and the third largest economy in Europe after Germany and the United Kingdom. Thanks to its diversified economy, France is successful in the global market and products from local manufacturers are well-known and in high demand across the world. Several industries are major contributors to France’s economy. LVMH
LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton – also known as LVMH, was established in 1987 following the merger of fashion house Louis Vuitton with Moët Hennessy. Christian Dior is its major shareholder. Bernard Arnault, the majority shareholder of Dior, is chairman and chief executive officer of both companies.
LVMH is the world’s most valuable in the luxury group with a brand value of about USD 47.2 billion as of 2019, according to Statista, a German online portal for statistics. LVMH currently employs 156,000 people across the world. Its revenue reached EUR 46.8 billion in 2018, a 10 per cent increase over the previous year.
The French luxury goods conglomerate is home to 75 distinguished Houses rooted in five major different sectors of the luxury market: fashion and leather goods brands such as Louis Vuitton, Céline, Givenchy and Christian Dior; wines and spirits such as Moët & Chandon and Hennessy; perfumes and cosmetics such as Christian Dior and Fendi; watches and jewellery such as Tiffany & Co, Hublot, TAG Heuer and Bulgari and Sephora for selective retailing.
LVMH’s MC share is traded on Euronext Paris and was valued at EUR 431 on January 14, 2020 compared to EUR 251.70 the same day last year.
Danone
Danone is a French multinational food-and-beverage-products corporation, founded in Barcelona, Spain, in 1919. Due to concern for the city’s children and his own son who often suffered from intestinal ailments due to poor hygiene, Isaac Carasso launched Danone yoghurt and put it on sale at pharmacies in the Spanish city. The brand was named Danone after his son Daniel’s nickname.
With products sold in over 120 markets and 100 years of experience, the French multinational food-products corporation generated total sales of EUR 24.7 billion in 2018, a 2.9 per cent increase from 2017.
Now based in Paris, the company operates in the following segments: essential dairy and plant-based products, early life nutrition, medical nutrition and waters. Its brand portfolio worldwide includes Activia, Actimel, Alpro, Danette, Danonino, Danio, Evian, Volvic, Nutrilon/Aptamil and Nutricia.
Listed on Euronext Paris, the BN stock price on January 14, 2020 was EUR 71.40 compared to EUR 61.30 the same day last year.
L’Oréal
What has now become the world’s largest cosmetics and beauty company was founded in 1909 by Eugène Schueller, a young chemist. L’Oréal employs 86,000 people worldwide and the French cosmetics conglomerate’s consolidated sales generated EUR 26.93 billion in 2018, up 7.1 per cent over the previous year, selling its products in more than 150 countries.
L’Oréal has been in the beauty business for more than 100 years, with a unique product portfolio consisting of 36 world-class cosmetics and beauty brands covering the mass market to the luxury market.
It operates in four segments: professional products such as L’Oréal Professionnel and Kérastase; consumer products such as L’Oréal Paris, Garnier and Maybelline New York; L’Oréal Luxury such as Lancôme, Biotherm, Shu Uemura, Yves Saint Laurent Beauté and Ralph Lauren; and Active Cosmetics, offering dermo-cosmetic skincare products such as Vichy and La Roche-Posay sold in pharmacies and specialist sections of drug stores.
The share price of OR on Euronext Paris on January 14, 2020 was EUR 236.80 compared to EUR 195.50 the same day in 2019.
Accor Hotels
Founded in 1967, Accor, a French multinational hospitality company, is the largest hotel group in Europe. Currently Accor operates in 110 countries, with more than 4,900 hotels and 280,000 employees worldwide. Its total capacity is approximately 700,000 rooms.
Accor currently owns and manages 39 hotel brands, covering all customer target groups. Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel and Banyan Tree are 5-star luxury brands; Pullman, Swissôtel, Mövenpick and M Gallery are premium hotels; Novotel and Mercure are midscale hotels; while Ibis is an economy hotel brand.
The company is headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France. The Group reported total revenue of EUR 3,610 million in 2018, up 16 per cent over the previous year. The AC stock price in Euronext Paris on January 14, 2020 was EUR 41.01 compared to EUR 37.58 on the same day in 2019.
Airbus
Airbus is a European multinational aerospace corporation. The company was registered in the Netherlands but was always considered French as its operating head office and main factory is in Blagnac, a suburb of the city of Toulouse, dubbed “Home of Airbus”.
Airbus Industrie started off in 1970 as a consortium between European governments in order to compete against US manufacturers like Boeing and Lockheed. Initially, the consortium also included four leading European aerospace firms: Aerospatiale Matra of France, DaimlerChrysler Aerospace of Germany, British Aerospace of England and Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA of Spain. After undergoing restructuring multiple times, the company’s name was changed to Airbus in 2017.
As of December 31, 2018, the French State held 11.06 per cent of the outstanding company shares, the German State held 11.04 per cent and the Spanish State held 4.16 per cent. Its shares are traded on stock exchanges in France, Germany and Spain. AIR’s stock price on Euronext Paris was EUR 135.10 on January 14, 2020 compared to EUR 89.91 the same day last year.
Currently, the company deals with the design, manufacture and delivery of industry-leading commercial aircraft, helicopters, military transport, satellites and launch vehicles, and also provides data services, navigation, secure communications, and other solutions for customers on a global scale.
Airbus reported consolidated revenue of EUR 63.7 billion in 2018, up 8 per cent from the previous year. Its active headcount was 135,468 employees.
In 2019, Airbus became the world’s largest airliner manufacturer for the first time since 2011 after delivering a record 863 aircraft that year, 8 per cent higher than in 2018, seizing the crown from embattled US rival Boeing, which is grappling with a crisis over its grounded 737 MAX.
