เป็นที่น่าสนใจว่านาฬิกา La Nature รุ่นนี้ผลิตตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 1980 แต่นั่งรอผู้ซื้ออยู่ที่ซาลอนของ Patek Philippe ที่เจนีวานานถึงเกือบเก้าปีเต็มจนขายไปในที่สุดที่ราคา 25,500 ฟรังก์สวิส ปัจจุบันของยังอยู่ในสภาพดีตามการรายงานของสำนักประมูล

Known as the “La Nature”, this desk clock stands out quite prominently among the 220 lots of “The Geneva Watch Auction: NINE” by Phillips. This Lot 61 is offered with an estimated price range that is quite high (and wide) between CHF 100,000 and 200,000. It is a piece unique with the original invoice from 1989, a Patek Philippe service receipt from 2014, and, a Patek Philippe archive extract confirming the provenance.
The gilt brass clock Ref. 1103 measures 142 x 142 x 90 mm. It is powered by a Patek Philippe photoelectric quartz movement (Calibre 33) numbered 1,803,515. What makes it different from the other clocks out there is the artistic dial, depicting women among flora and fauna with random leaves and branches. The cubist tableau was realized using the cloisonné enamel technique where thin gold wires first form partitions on the surface to be filled with vitreous enamel, in this case, in the shades of orange, red and maroon.
Interestingly, this La Nature clock was originally produced in 1980 and sat at the Patek Philippe Salon in Geneva for almost nine full years before it was sold to a buyer at the price of CHF 25,500. It is reportedly in pristine condition at this time.
“The Geneva Watch Auction: NINE” takes place over this weekend at the Hôtel La Réserve, Geneva. Lots 1-109 are set to go on Saturday 11 while Lots 110-220 are scheduled for Sunday 12.
