Sotheby’s จับมือ Berluti ประมูลเครื่องหนังหายากที่ผลิตด้วยฝีมือช่างระดับตำนาน

Sotheby’s จัดการประมูลแบบออนไลน์ชื่อ “Berluti: The Art of Craftmanship” ในช่วงวันที่ 24 เมษายน – 7 พฤษภาคมนี้ โดยมีของหายากที่คัดมาเป็นพิเศษด้วยกันทั้งหมด 14 ล็อต บางล็อตเป็นของชิ้นเดียว บางล็อตเป็นของหลายชิ้นที่จัดมาเข้าชุดกัน ทั้งหมดเป็นผลงานที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงความชาญฉลาดและฝีมือของงานช่างจาก Berluti ที่สรรสร้างชิ้นงานได้โดยไม่จำกัดอยู่เพียงในอาณาจักรของ Berluti เองเท่านั้น หากยังขยายไปยังสินค้าหมวดอื่นผ่านการร่วมมือกับแบรนด์ระดับไฮเอ็นด์จนออกมาเป็น Berluti ในรูปแบบที่แตกต่างกันออกไป

หมวดที่เรียกความสนใจได้ไม่น้อยคือหมวดของยานยนต์ซึ่ง Berluti ฝากผลงานไว้บนจักรยานยนต์ Triumph รุ่นสั่งผลิตพิเศษที่ใช้รุ่น Bonneville T120 เป็นพื้นฐาน ตกแต่งบนมือจับและเบาะนั่งด้วยหนังวิเทลโลฟิโอเรที่ให้ความรู้สึกนุ่มเนียนน่าสัมผัส มาพร้อมกับหมวกกันน็อคที่มีรายละเอียดซิกเนเจอร์ของ Berluti อยู่ทั้งบนเนื้อคาร์บอนไฟเบอร์สีดำและหนังเวเนเซียที่ใช้ตกแต่งตามจุดต่างๆ และรองเท้าบูทหนังแบบมีซิปด้านในเพื่อความสะดวกในการสวมใส่และถอด ทั้งหมดนี้รวมกันเป็นล็อตหมายเลข 2 และสำหรับที่สุดของการประมูลครั้งนี้ต้องยกให้ล็อตหมายเลข 1 ซึ่งเป็นรถคันแรกที่แบรนด์ Berluti ได้แสดงฝีมือในการตกแต่งภายใน รถคันดังกล่าวนี้เป็น Porsche Targa 911 จากปี ค.ศ. 1973 ที่หุ้มภายในทั้งหมดด้วยหนัง Berluti จนกระทั่งมีสัญลักษณ์ตัว B อยู่กลางพวงมาลัยและมีชื่อ Berluti Paris อยู่บนฝากล่องใส่ของหน้าผู้โดยสาร ล็อต 1 นี้มีกระเป๋าเดินทางสำหรับสุดสัปดาห์และรองเท้าหนังสุดเก๋ที่เข้าชุดกันอย่างดีมาด้วยเหมือนในรูปเปิดของบทความนี้ ราคาประเมิน 175,000 – 225,000 ยูโร ขณะนี้มีผู้สนใจเสนอราคามาแล้วสูงสุดที่ 260,000 ยูโร
ทั้งนี้ Berluti เป็นแบรนด์เครื่องหนังเก่าแก่ที่ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1895 ที่ปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส โดยคุณอเลซานโดร เบอร์ลูติ ชาวอิตาเลียนที่ไปตั้งถิ่นฐานอยู่ที่นั่น จนเกิดเป็นตำนานช่างฝืมือทำรองเท้าชั้นสูงที่สืบทอดกันมาจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น โดยทายาทรุ่นต่อๆ มาต่างก็พัฒนาและทำให้ Berluti เป็นแบรนด์เครื่องหนังที่มีความหลากหลายยิ่งขึ้นแต่ยังคงไว้ซึ่งคุณภาพและความเป็นเอกลักษณ์ด้วยเทคนิคการลงสีที่เป็นเหมือนสูตรลับของแบรนด์

The online auction “Berluti: The Art of Craftsmanship” is finishing in two days.

Sotheby’s is organising an online auction titled “Berluti: The Art of Craftmanship” from 24 April to 7 May. This thematic event features 14 lots in total, some a single item and others a combination of items. The creations curated by the auctioneer are illustrious of the shoemaking maison’s craftsmanship. Beyond that, they showcase how prolific Berluti can be when working with high-end third parties to realise pieces outside of their regular sphere.
Take, for example, Lot 12 features a football made of Venezia leather and signed by professional French footballer Paul Pogba, a leather backpack and a pair of leather shoes with rubber soles This lot has an estimated price of EUR 2,600 – 3,600 but the highest bid at the time of this writing is already EUR 4,200. Lot 3, however, has the highest bid of EUR 17,000 at this time, exactly at the centre of the EUR 15,000 – 20,000 estimate. This Lot 3 comprises two big Venezia leather club chairs, a rare wood cigar box with Berluti’s leather cladding, a leather cigar case with Berluti’s signature Scritto engraving, and, a pair of luxurious slippers that can be worn indoor and outdoor.
Two lots stand to attract immense interest, both of them vehicular. The Triumph motorcycle is custom built on the basis of the Bonneville T120. Its handgrips and seat are covered in Vitello Fiore leather which offers a sensual and soft touch. The helmet coming with it features Berluti signature touches on the black carbon fibre shell, as well as on the Venezia leather trims. Lastly, the leather boots have a zipper on the inside for convenience. These items are all bundled as Lot 2.
At the top of this auction, however, is Lot 1: the first car Berluti has ever worked on. The interior of this 1973 Porsche Targa 911 is completely finished with Berluti leather. There is a “B” on steering wheel and “Berluti Paris” signature on the glove compartment. Lot 1 is complete with a weekend bag and a pair of cool driving shoes (see the opening photograph of this article). Its estimate price is EUR 175,000 – 225,000 but the lot’s highest bidder at this moment is ready to part with EUR 260,000.
Berluti is a traditional maison, having been established in Paris in 1895 by gentleman Alessandro Berluti who relocated from Italy. This shoemaking business developed legendary reputation as it was passed down the generations. The brand expands to a more diverse range of leather products along the way while preserving their hallmark quality and identity through signature patination and all.
