สมาร์ทวอทช์รุ่นที่สองของ Hublot มาพร้อมกับหน้าปัดที่น่าสนใจหลากหลายรูปแบบ

วันเวลาผ่านไปเร็วเหลือเกิน จากวันนั้นที่โพสท์เรื่อง Hublot Big Bang ที่เป็นสมาร์ทวอทช์รุ่นแรกตอนฟุตบอลโลก ค.ศ. 2018 ที่รัสเซีย เผลอแป๊บเดียวสองปีแล้ว ไม่รู้ตัวเลย ในวันนี้ Hublot พร้อมเสนอสมาร์ทวอทช์รุ่นที่สองแล้วในชื่อ Big Bang e (ต้องสะกด e ตัวเล็กด้วยนะ เดี๋ยวไม่เก๋) ตัวเรือนขนาด 42 มม. มีวัสดุสองชนิดให้เลือก คือ ไทเทเนียมหรือเซรามิกสีดำ สวมใส่ด้วยสายยางสีดำทั้งคู่และกันน้ำได้ถึงระดับ 30 เมตร
Big Bang e ทำงานด้วยระบบปฏิบัติการ Wear OS ของ Google ดังนั้นคุณจึงสามารถเริ่มใช้งานได้ทันทีหากคุ้นเคยมาจากดีไวซ์อื่นก่อนหน้านี้แล้ว และพร้อมทำงานร่วมกับโทรศัพท์มือถือที่ใช้ระบบ Android 6.0 ขึ้นไปหรือ iOS 12.0 ขึ้นไป
ตัวเรือนออกแบบมาอย่างซับซ้อน ประกอบด้วยชิ้นส่วนมากถึง 42 ชิ้นซึ่งในจำนวนนี้ 27 ชิ้นเป็นของชุดโมดูลที่ห่อหุ้มเครื่องนาฬิกาแบบอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ไว้ แบตเตอรี่ลิเธียม-ไออนมีความจุ 300 มิลลิแอมป์ ใช้งานได้หนึ่งวัน ตัวชาร์จเป็นระบบอินดักชั่น ใช้เวลาชาร์จจากแบตหมดเกลี้ยงจนถึงเต็มในเวลา 2.5 ชั่วโมง
อ่านมาถึงจุดนี้หลายท่านคงเริ่มอยากถามแล้วว่าความพิเศษของ Big Bang e คืออะไร ผมตอบเลยครับว่าสำหรับผมคือหน้าปัด … ใช่แล้วครับ … หน้าปัดจริงๆ เพราะผมไม่มีความจำเป็นต้องใช้สมาร์ทวอทช์ในชีวิตประจำวัน อยากดูอะไรก็กดเอาในโทรศัพท์มือถือ ดังนั้นถ้าจะใส่สมาร์ทวอทช์ก็ด้วยเหตุผลเดียวเลยคือเพื่อเล่นกับหน้าปัดรูปแบบต่างๆ อย่างที่นาฬิกาจักรกลไม่สามารถมอบให้เราได้
หน้าปัดแรกที่เตะตาผมก็คือหน้าปัดที่ Hublot เรียกชื่อว่า GMT ซึ่งตอนแรกพอเห็นรูปลูกโลกผมก็เข้าใจผิดไปเองว่ามันคือเวิลด์ไทม์ แต่ที่จริงไม่ใช่ ส่วนอีกหน้าปัดหนึ่งที่ถือเป็นเซอร์ไพรส์ก็คือหน้าปัดที่มีชื่อว่า Perpetual Calendar แต่มีดีไซน์ราวกับถอดมาจากนาฬิการุ่น MP-05 LaFerrari ที่ไม่เหมือนใครและไม่มีใครเหมือน
ครั้นเมื่อศึกษาเพิ่มเติมจึงได้รู้ว่า Hublot Big Bang e รุ่นนี้มาพร้อมกับหน้าปัดรูปวาด 8 รูปโดยฝีมือของมาร์ค เฟอร์เรอโร ศิลปินร่วมสมัยที่ฝากผลงานไว้กับ Hublot มาแล้วหลายครั้ง เมื่อคุณเลือกหน้าปัดของเขา ระบบจะเปลี่ยนภาพโดยอัตโนมัติทุก 3 ชั่วโมงตลอดทั้งวัน 24 ชั่วโมง ก็จะเพลินๆ กันไปอีกแบบ และในอนาคตก็จะมีหน้าปัดเพิ่มเติมจากแอมบาสเดอร์คนอื่นๆ ของ Hublot มาให้โหลดกันด้วย ส่วนสายสีต่างๆ และสายสีรุ้งนั้นต้องซื้อเพิ่มเองนะครับ ไม่ได้มาในชุด แต่เรื่องการเปลี่ยนสายก็สะดวกแน่นอนด้วยระบบวันคลิกของ Hublot ที่เราคุ้นเคยกันดีอยู่แล้ว
ด้วยราคาค่าตัว 163,000 บาทสำหรับรุ่นไทเทเนียมและ 183,000 บาทสำหรับรุ่นเซรามิกดำ ถามว่าถูกไหม ตอบเลยว่าไม่ ถ้าจะมองว่านี่คืออุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่มีอายุการใช้งานจำกัด แต่จากการทำงาน Luxuo และ World of Watches Thailand มาหลายปี ทำให้ผมรู้ชัดอยู่เรื่องหนึ่งว่าคนมีเงินก็คือคนมีเงิน และอย่างที่คนเขาพูดกันว่าถ้าถูกใจแล้วไม่มีคำว่าแพง ดังนั้นจัดไปครับ

The Nyon brand’s second smart watch comes with a host of eye-catching dials.

Time flies. Two years after the first connected Big Bang watch was introduced for referees (and football fans) at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Hublot unveils their brand new Big Bang e. This second smart watch from Nyon measures 42 mm and is available in two choices of either titanium or black ceramic – both on a black rubber strap. It is water resistant to 30 metres.
Big Bang e is powered by Google’s Wear OS so you will be able to explore the functions right away if you are already familiar with the system from another device. It is compatible with Android 6.0 or iOS 12.0 and above. The complex case is made up of 42 components, 27 of which belong to the cage module at houses the electronic movement of the watch. Its lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 300 mAh to last you approximately one day of use. With the induction charger, the watch will take 2.5 hours to charge from empty to full.
So what’s exciting about the Big Bang e? I would say its main attraction for me is the dials. Yes, the dials. I do not need a smartwatch in my life for connectivity purposes. If I am going to pay for and wear one, it will have to be able to do something my mechanical watches cannot and that is the on-demand variety of the dials.
The two dials immediately attracting me on this new timepiece are the “GMT” dial which looks like a world time dial at the first glance, and, the “Perpetual Calendar” dial which immediately reminds Hublot fans of the unmistakable display on the MP-05 LaFerrari watch.
Upon further study, I discovered another hidden gem in the embedded dials from Marc Ferrero who has collaborated with Hublot on several occasions. For the Big Bang e, the contemporary French artist has dedicated eight circular paintings which change automatically in sequence every three hours to complete a 24-hour period. Preliminary information indicates that additional dials by Hublot ambassadors will be gradually offered in time. Note though that the colourful straps and the rainbow one are optional and must be purchased separately. Ease of interchangeability is of course guaranteed by the One Click system.
At 163,000 baht and 183,000 baht respectively, the Big Bang e Titanium and the Big Bang e Black Ceramic are hardly cheap, especially for their intrinsic state as electronic devices with limited usage lifespan. But if working for Luxuo and World of Watches Thailand over the years give me any insight, affordability is completely relative and we only live once so let’s have all the fun while we can (if we can).
