Urwerk UR-230 Eagle ร่อนลงจอดในประเทศไทยที่ PMT The Hour Glass

Urwerk เป็นแบรนด์นาฬิกาที่ผู้คนรู้จักกันด้วยระบบการบอกเวลาที่ไม่ใช้เข็ม แต่มีระบบจานหมุนที่จะพาตัวเลขชั่วโมงให้โคจรเลียบสเกลนาทีไปเรื่อยๆ ตั้งแต่เลข 0 จนถึง 60 เพื่อบอกเวลาในแต่ละชั่วโมง ครั้นเมื่อถึงเวลาขึ้นชั่วโมงถัดไป จานหมุนที่มีตัวเลขชั่วโมงใหม่ก็จะเข้าชิดตำแหน่งเลขนาทีที่ 0 เพื่อรับช่วงต่อจากจานหมุนจานเดิมที่หมดหน้าที่ที่ตำแหน่งเลขนาทีที่ 60 พอดี ดูเผินๆ อาจจะไม่คุ้นตา แต่เมื่อคุณเข้าใจแล้วว่าต้องดูที่ใดก็จะอ่านค่าเวลาได้อย่างรวดเร็ว เหมือนอย่างที่นักสะสมนาฬิกาทั่วโลกคุ้นเคยกับระบบบอกเวลาแบบนี้ของ Urwerk มาตลอดระยะเวลากว่าสองทศวรรษ
ที่เห็นอยู่นี้คือ UR-230 Eagle ซึ่งมีรูปลักษณ์และชื่อที่เปี่ยมด้วยพละกำลังในทำนองเดียวกันกับนาฬิกา Urwerk ในตระกูล 200 ก่อนหน้าอย่างเช่น UR-210 Maltese Falcon ตัวเรือนของนาฬิกา UR-230 Eagle รุ่นใหม่นี้ผลิตจากคาร์บอนซีทีพีซึ่งเป็นวัสดุสีดำที่ทนทานแต่มีน้ำหนักเบา และที่สำคัญคือมีลวดลายเป็นเอกลักษณ์จากกระบวนการผลิตที่อัดแผ่นวัสดุหลายชั้นเข้าหากันด้วยแรงดันที่อุณหภูมิสูง ฝาครอบด้านบนสามารถยกขึ้นเป็นมุม 90 องศาได้เพื่อชื่นชมความซับซ้อนของระบบบอกเวลาแบบแซทเทิลไลท์ที่อยู่ใต้แซฟไฟร์คริสตอล ที่ปลายของฝาครอบมีลักษณะคล้ายจะงอยปากนกเพื่อให้สมกับชื่อ Eagle และเพื่อให้จับถนัด จังหวะการปิดกลับลงมาก็จะเงียบและแม่นยำเหมือนกับนกอินทรีที่เข้าคว้าเหยื่อด้วยเพราะฝาครอบนี้มีกลไกเบรคในตัว
หัวใจการทำงานของนาฬิการุ่นนี้คือเครื่องคาลิเบอร์ UR-7.30 ซึ่งประกอบด้วยชุดคารูเซลไทเทเนียมสามแขนที่นำพาลูกบาศก์ตัวเลขชั่วโมงหมุนไปรอบๆ ด้านบนเป็นเข็มนาทีอลูมิเนียมแบบสเกเลตั้นที่ทำงานในรูปแบบเรโทรเกรดซึ่งจะดีดตัวกลับไปยังจุดเริ่มต้นของสเกลนาทีเมื่อเริ่มต้นชั่วโมงใหม่ คาลิเบอร์ UR-7.30 เป็นเครื่องนาฬิการะบบขึ้นลานอัตโนมัติที่เจ้าของสามารถไขลานด้วยมือได้เมื่อต้องการ ภายในมีระบบเทอร์ไบน์คู่ที่ช่วยลดผลกระทบจากแรงสั่นสะเทือนภายนอกและควบคุมปริมาณอากาศที่เข้าสู่ระบบขึ้นลานเพื่อประสิทธิภาพในการทำงานสูงสุดของเครื่อง

Urwerk is known for orbital satellite system of time indication where traditional hands are replaced by hour numeral satellites that travel along an arched minute scale. At the beginning of the new hour, the next satellite would glide effortlessly in at 0 to replace the outgoing one at 60. This genius rotation-based design may appear daunting at first, but it is in fact highly intuitive once you know where to look. Watch collectors have long since accustomed themselves to this and Urwerk’s variations on the theme over the past two decades.
Shown here is the UR-230 Eagle. Its persona and nomenclature follow in the footsteps of preceding series 200 timepieces such as the UR-210 Maltese Falcon whose predatory nature suggests of energy and strength. For this novelty that is named after the king of the skies, Urwerk has fashioned the case from CTP carbon for its lightweight, rigidness and black graphic pattern that is a result of how material layers are bonded together with pressure at high temperatures. Its top cover can be lifted by 90 degrees to showcase the entire satellite system underneath the sapphire crystal. As a nice touch, Urwerk has given this cover a beak-shaped edge as an allusion to the watch’s namesake, as well as for the practicality of an easy grip. A built-in braking device ensures firm but quiet closure of this cover, just like how an eagle is silent and precise when seizing a prey.
At the heart of this striking timepiece is the Caliber UR-7.30 whose three-armed titanium carrousel carries four-faced cubes that rotate on their own axis to indicate the current hour. Hovering right above is the skeletonized, aluminum retrograde hand that travels along the minute scale until it returns to the beginning position at the beginning of the new hour. Caliber UR-7.30 is self-winding with the possibility of manual winding. For optimal performance, Urwerk has developed the dual turbine system to minimize the effect of external shock, and, to regulate the flow of air into the winding system.
