Audemars Piguet วางแผนเปิดตัวนาฬิการุ่นต่างๆ ตลอดทั้งปี ค.ศ. 2023 และเนื่องจากนี่เป็นปีแห่งการฉลองครบรอบ 30 ปีของคอลเลคชั่น Royal Oak Offshore เราจึงขอเลือกนำเสนอผลิตภัณฑ์ใหม่ในคอลเลคชั่นดังกล่าวจำนวน 3 รุ่นที่ล้วนแล้วแต่ผลิตด้วยวัสดุเซรามิกมานำเสนอในบทความนี้ เพื่อให้เห็นถึงความคิดสร้างสรรค์ตลอดจนการปรับตัวให้เข้ากับยุคสมัยอยู่เสมอของแบรนด์ดังแบรนด์นี้

การผลิตชิ้นส่วนด้วยวัสดุเซรามิกจากผงเซอร์โคเนียมอ็อกไซด์ (ZrO2) เป็นกระบวนการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ที่ต้องอาศัยความแม่นยำเป็นอย่างสูง เพื่อให้ได้ชิ้นงานที่มีสม่ำเสมอหลังผ่านกระบวนการซินเทอร์ที่อุณหภูมิประมาณ 1,000 องศาเซลเซียส และชิ้นส่วนทั้งหมดยังต้องนำมาขัดแต่งด้วยมือให้มีพื้นผิวแบบขัดด้านตัดกับการลบเหลี่ยมแบบขัดเงาตามธรรมเนียมของ Audemars Piguet ด้วย

นาฬิการุ่นนี้ทำงานด้วยเครื่องนาฬิกาแบบขึ้นลานอัตโนมัติรุ่นคาลิเบอร์ 5909 ซึ่งทำหน้าที่บอกเวลาเพียงอย่างเดียว กำลังลานสำรองอยู่ที่ 60 ชั่วโมง ผลิตเป็นจำนวนจำกัด 250 เรือน สวมใส่บนข้อมือด้วยสายยางสีดำ สีเทอร์ควอยซ์ สีเหลืองและสีเขียว ทุกสีมีลวดลายโมเสกบนพื้นผิวของสาย
ปิดท้ายบทความด้วยนาฬิการะดับคอมพลิเคชั่นซึ่งรุ่นที่เราเลือกมาก็คือ Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph ซึ่งมาในโฉมใหม่สีดำและเขียวที่ผลิตเป็นจำนวนจำกัดเพียง 100 เรือนเท่านั้น นาฬิการุ่นใหม่นี้เป็นเครื่องยืนยันว่าเรือนเวลาสไตล์สปอร์ตอย่าง Royal Oak Offshore ก็สามารถเป็นเวทีให้แบรนด์ได้แสดงความสามารถในเชิงกลไกขนาดจิ๋วและความละเอียดของงานผลิตด้วยเช่นกัน

Audemars Piguet has had a prolific year with staggered novelty releases throughout 2023. We have selected three different Royal Oak Offshore models made of ceramic launched this year to celebrate the collection’s 30th anniversary. Each of them demonstrates the Manufacture’s remarkable creativity and commitment to evolving with the times.
As the very first Royal Oak Offshore back in 1993 was a chronograph, why not start this shortlist with one? Most recently in September, Audemars Piguet unveiled a new version of the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph 43 mm. Its black ceramic case is contrasted by a blue ceramic bezel, push-pieces and crown. Further accents are provided by titanium push-piece guards and bracelet studs. Its Méga Tapisserie dial is in deep blue with a smoked effect that gives it a black gradation towards the periphery. Meanwhile, the hour markers and hands are crafted from white gold and filled with luminescent material for legibility in the dark.
Production of ceramic components from Zirconium Oxide (ZrO2) powder is a specific science. Only with great precision can the final and homogenous colour be achieved after the sintering process at a temperature of approximately 1,000 degrees Celsius. And true to the tradition of Audemars Piguet, these components are eventually finished by hand to ensure perfectly brushed surfaces and polished chamfers.
This Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph 43 mm is powered by the latest selfwinding flyback chronograph Calibre 4401 whose power reserve is a generous 70 hours. It is worn on a blue calfskin leather strap with a textile effect or a black rubber strap that also comes with the watch. Switching between the two is easy, thanks to the interchangeable strap system.
The next novelty maintains the sportive spirit of the Royal Oak Offshore, while presenting its artistic side as well. It was last year that Audemars Piguet released five Royal Oak Offshore Music Edition watches in various materials and sizes. They are now joined by a new black ceramic version in a 37 mm size, complete with the same equaliser or VU meter pattern in 10 colours printed on the same Tapisserie dial as its predecessors.
These Music Edition watches allow Audemars Piguet to pay tribute to the music world to which the brand has had a link for many years through collaboration with various artists. In addition to the colourful, pop-inspired equaliser motif, further references to the music industry are visible all around, including the bracelet studs whose knurled texture resembles that of a jack plug, and the crown guards that are designed to look like the faders on mixing consoles. These are fashioned in titanium for added contrast against the black, scratch-resistant ceramic case.
The beating heart of this timepiece, the selfwinding, time-only Calibre 5909 affords a power reserve of 60 hours. Limited to only 250 pieces, the watch wraps nicely around slimmer wrists with interchangeable black, turquoise, yellow and green rubber straps, all with the mosaic pattern.
Lastly, this article cannot be complete without a complicated piece, so we present the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph, now available in new black and green hues. Limited to 100 pieces, this novelty is a reminder that sportive timepieces like the Royal Oak Offshore can be a true vessel for micro-mechanics and handcraftsmanship as well.
As you lay your eyes on this 43 mm black ceramic timepiece, your attention is immediately drawn towards the six o’clock position due to the constant rotation of the flying tourbillon, which is a key component of the 526-part movement. Two chronograph counters stand at the ready towards the upper part of the architectural dial with bright red hands to measure time up to 12 hours. A green anodised inner bezel adds a burst of colour while providing the necessary 60-second graduation scale for precise reading of the chronograph.
The selfwinding Calibre 2967 has a power reserve of 65 hours, wound by a 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight that is blackened to match the colour of the case. Comfort on the wrist is ensured by a green rubber strap that can be swapped for a black rubber one, inclusive in the set, with the double-push quick click and release system.
Once again, Audemars Piguet has used its forward-thinking spirit to imagine and realise products that will intrigue watch buyers of differing preferences and tastes. This pattern of reinvention is particularly noteworthy given that Audemars Piguet is an almost 150-year-old family-owned company, having been founded in 1875!
