สิ้นสุดการรอคอยเมื่อ Rolex เผยโฉมนาฬิกา Oyster Perpetual Submariner และ Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date รุ่นใหม่ประจำปี 2020

สวัสดีตอนเช้าวันอังคารที่ 1 กันยายน วันที่ประชากรคนรักนาฬิการีบตื่นมารอดูว่า Rolex จะออกนาฬิการุ่นใหม่เป็นอะไร และ Rolex ก็มาตามนัดจริงๆ เพราะเมื่อเวลาในประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ก้าวผ่านเที่ยงคืน เว็บไซท์ของ Rolex ก็อัพเดทใหม่ในพริบตาทันทีโดยมีนาฬิการุ่นเปิดตัวสำคัญ คือ Oyster Perpetual Submariner และ Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date ที่ปรับโฉมใหม่
สิ่งสำคัญที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปก็คือขนาดตัวเรือนที่ใหญ่ขึ้นจาก 40 เป็น 41 มม. (ใช่แล้วครับ เพราะ 1 มม. ก็มีความหมายในวงการนี้) และอย่างที่เห็นกันมาโดยตลอดว่า Rolex จะทำอะไรแบบค่อยเป็นค่อยไป หน้าตาของนาฬิกาจะไม่เปลี่ยนไปอย่างเห็นได้ชัด เราจึงเห็น Submariner คุมโทนอย่างนี้มาตั้งแต่ที่เปิดตัวเมื่อปี 1953 แล้ว กว่าจะมีวันที่ก็ปี 1969 และทั้ง Submariner และ Submariner Date ก็กลายเป็นภาพจำของนาฬิกา Rolex ในสายตาหลายคนด้วยตัวเรือนออยส์เตอร์ที่ทนทาน หลักชั่วโมงรูปทรงสามเหลี่ยม วงกลมและสี่เหลี่ยม ตลอดจนขอบตัวเรือนแบบหมุนได้ทิศทางเดียวเพื่อใช้จับเวลาในการดำน้ำ
ขอบตัวเรือนที่ว่านั้นในยุคปัจจุบันมีวงแหวนที่ผลิตจากเซราโครมซึ่งเป็นวัสดุประเภทเซรามิกที่ทนทานต่อการขีดข่วนและจะไม่เปลี่ยนสีตามกาลเวลาและสภาพแวดล้อม เข็มนาฬิกาและหลักชั่วโมงมีการเคลือบหรือบรรจุสารเรืองแสงสีฟ้าที่มีชื่อว่าโครมาไลท์ที่จะทำให้เจ้าของนาฬิกาอ่านค่าเวลาได้ในที่มืดหรือในช่วงกลางคืน บนขอบตัวเรือนที่ตำแหน่งเลขศูนย์หรือสามเหลี่ยมก็มีแคปซูลทรงกลมที่บรรจุสารดังกล่าวอยู่ด้วยเช่นกัน สำหรับสายนาฬิกาแบบออยส์เตอร์ที่ใช้ใน Submariner และ Submariner Date ใหมนี้ นอกจากจะมีระบบนิรภัยออยส์เตอร์ล็อคบนบานพับแล้ว ยังมีระบบไกลด์ล็อคอีกด้วย ประกอบด้วยชุดแร็คที่ซ่อนตัวอยู่ในบานพับเพื่อการขยายความยาวสายระหว่างวันเพื่อความสบายข้อมือได้ 10 จังหวะ จังหวะละประมาณ 2 มม.
ทางด้านเครื่องนาฬิกานั้นก็เป็นเครื่องรุ่นใหม่ โดย Submariner ได้ใช้เครื่องคาลิเบอร์ 3230 ใหม่ล่าสุด และ Submariner Date ได้ใช้เครื่องคาลิเบอร์ 3235 เป็นครั้งแรกในไลน์ Submariner เครื่องทั้งสองรุ่นนี้มีโครเนอร์จีเอสเคปเมนท์ที่ช่วยประหยัดพลังงานของลานได้และจะไม่ได้รับผลกระทบจากอิทธิพลของสนามแม่เหล็กเพราะผลิตจากนิคเกิ้ลฟอสฟอรัส พาราโครมแฮร์สปริงสีน้ำเงินที่ Rolex ผลิตเองนั้นก็กันแม่เหล็กได้เช่นกัน และยังมอบความเที่ยงตรงสูงกว่าแฮร์สปริงทั่วไปถึง 10 เท่าเมื่อนาฬิกาได้รับแรงสั่นสะเทือน แล้วยังมีชุดดูดซับแรงสั่นสะเทือนชื่อพาราเฟล็กซ์สำหรับบาลานซ์วีลช่วยอีกระดับหนึ่ง ทั้งนี้ เครื่องรุ่นคาลิเบอร์ 3230 และ 3235 มีกำลังลานสำรองนานประมาณ 70 ชั่วโมงทั้งคู่
ข้ามมาทาง Submariner Date กันบ้าง สามรุ่นแรกที่เราได้รับภาพมา ได้แก่ รุ่นออยส์เตอร์สตีลกับวงแหวนขอบตัวเรือนเซราโครมสีเขียว (126610 LV) รุ่นออยส์เตอร์สตีลและเยลโลว์โกลด์ 18 กะรัตกับวงแหวนขอบตัวเรือนเซราโครมสีน้ำเงินและหน้าปัดลวดลายซันเรย์สีรอยัลบลู (126613 LB) และรุ่นไวท์โกลด์ 18 กะรัตกับวงแหวนขอบตัวเรือนเซราโครมสีน้ำเงิน (126619 LB) แต่ที่จริงแล้วยังมีรุ่นมากกว่านี้ในเว็บของ Rolex ซึ่งเราไม่สามารถนำภาพและรายละเอียดมาเผยแพร่ต่อได้เนื่องจากว่ารุ่นเหล่านั้นไม่ได้อยู่ในชุดข้อมูลที่ส่งให้กับสื่อ ใครสนใจต้องไปดูต่อเองที่นี่ นาฬิกา Oyster Perpetual Submariner และ Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date ทุกรุ่นกันน้ำได้ 300 เมตร ผ่านการรับรองความเที่ยงตรงระดับซูเปอร์เลทีฟโครโนมิเตอร์และมาพร้อมกับการรับประกันนาน 5 ปี
โดยปกติแล้วเราจะมีภาพเรือนจริงของนาฬิกา Rolex ให้คุณได้ชมทันที แต่เนื่องจากปีนี้ไม่มีการจัดงานแสดงนาฬิกาที่บาเซิลเพราะสถานการณ์โรคระบาด เราจึงต้องใช้ภาพพีอาร์จากแบรนด์มาโชว์คุณก่อน ด้วยหวังว่าจะได้นำภาพเรือนจริงมานำเสนอต่อไปในไม่ช้า ผ่านทาง Facebook และ Instagram ของ World of Watches ดังนั้นก็รอติดตามต่อได้เลยครับ

Here we are, in the morning of Tuesday 1 September, one of the most important days on the 2020 watch calendar. At exactly midnight Swiss time, Rolex unveils their 2020 novelties as promised, with the key highlight being the updated Oyster Perpetual Submariner and Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date.
The most significant change on these watches are the size which has been increased ever so slightly from 40 to 41 mm. Yes, 1 mm, and that matters. Rolex is a company known to be subtle with their moves. And for this reason, the Submariner has had a rather smooth evolution since its introduction in 1953. The date function was not added until 1969. Both the Submariner and the Submariner Date have become archetypal of Rolex watches with their robust Oyster case; the triangular, circular and rectangular hour markers; as well as unidirectional rotatable bezel.
In modern days, the said bezel fashions a Cerachrom insert – the ceramic material is virtually scratchproof and impervious to environmental influences. All hands and hour markers are coated or filled with luminescent material Chromalight which emit a long-lasting blue glow in the dark. The same is true for the triangular marker on the bezel with its round capsule. The Oyster bracelet on these new watches is equipped with an Oysterlock folding safety clasp which prevents accidental opening. Additionally, its Glidelock extension system offers the possibility to increase the length of the bracelet for comfort as needed in 10 notches of approximately 2 mm each.
As for the movement, the Submariner sports the brand new Calibre 3230 while the Submariner Date receives the Calibre 3235, used for the first time in the Submariner range. Both movements benefit from the use of Chronergy escapement which offers high energy efficiency and insensitivity to magnetic fields as it is made of nickel-phosphorus. Their optimised blue Parachrom hairpsring, manufactured by Rolex, is also paramagnetic and 10 times more precise against shocks than a traditional hairpsring. Additional shock resistance is offered by the Paraflex shock absorbers on which the oscillator is fitted. Calibres 3230 and 3235 have a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
For the Submariner Date line-up, the three references presented at this time are the Oystersteel with green Cerachrom bezel insert (126610 LV), the bi-colour Oystersteel and 18 ct yellow gold with blue Cerachrom bezel insert and sunray-finished Royal blue dial (126613 LB); and, the 18 ct white gold with blue Cerachrom bezel insert (126619 LB). There are actually more references on the consumer side of their web site but they are not included in the media kit so technically we do not have the permission to publish those images and you need to go see them on your own. All watches are water resistant to 300 metres, certified as Superlative Chronometers and delivered with 5-year warranty.
With this being a most unusual year, Luxuo/World of Watches Thailand does not have physical access to the watches right away as we traditionally did at Baselworld.
