ทำความรู้จักกับโฉมใหม่ของนาฬิกาสุดสปอร์ต Aquaracer จาก TAG Heuer

ปีนี้เป็นปีที่ TAG Heuer มีแต่ข่าวใหญ่และก็เป็นข่าวดีทั้งนั้นเสียด้วย อย่างเช่นเมื่อเดือนกุมภาพันธ์เราก็ได้นำเสนอไปแล้วว่า TAG Heuer ประกาศจับมือกับ Porsche อย่างเป็นทางการ แล้วหลังจากนั้นเมื่อถึงช่วงของ Watches and Wonders Geneva เราก็ได้เห็นการเปิดตัวนาฬิกา Aquaracer โฉมใหม่แบบยกเซ็ทอีก
ชื่อ Aquaracer ปรากฏในสารบบของวงการนาฬิกาเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2004 พื้นฐานการออกแบบคือนาฬิกาดำน้ำของ TAG Heuer เองในช่วงยุคทศวรรษที่ 80 และก่อนหน้า โดย TAG Heuer ตั้งใจให้ Aquaracer นี้เป็นนาฬิกาแนวทูลวอทช์ระดับลักชัวรีสำหรับคนที่มีไลฟ์สไตล์แบบสปอร์ตอย่างที่ชอบกิจกรรมกลางแจ้งต่างๆ และต้องการเรือนเวลาคู่ใจที่สามารถบ่งบอกถึงรสนิยมของตนเองได้ด้วย สำหรับ Aquaracer รุ่นใหม่ของปีนี้มีชื่อเต็มว่า Aquaracer 300 Calibre 5 Automatic ออกมาพร้อมกันทั้งหมด 7 รุ่นใน 2 ขนาด ได้แก่ ขนาด 43 มม. สำหรับสุภาพบุรุษและ 36 มม. สำหรับสุภาพสตรี
ใครที่คุ้นเคยกับ Aquaracer รุ่นก่อนหน้าอยู่แล้วจะสังเกตเห็นได้ทันทีว่าสิ่งที่เปลี่ยนไป ได้แก่ เข็มชั่วโมงที่กลายเป็นแบบทรงดาบที่ดูกว้างและบึกบึนกว่าเดิม หลักชั่วโมงตามตำแหน่งรายล้อมที่เปลี่ยนเป็นทรงแปดเหลี่ยมและดูแตกต่างจากหลักชั่วโมงในตำแหน่งหลักทั้งสี่อย่างชัดเจน และเมื่อเข้าไปยังที่มืด คุณก็จะเห็นว่า TAG Heuer เลือกใช้สารเรืองแสง 2 สีในจุดต่างๆ เช่น บนเข็มชั่วโมงและหลักชั่วโมงจะมีสารเรืองแสงสีเขียว ส่วนเข็มนาที เข็มวินาทีและตัวเลขบนขอบตัวเรือนนั้นจะมีสารเรืองแสงสีฟ้า
สำหรับตำแหน่งของหน้าต่างวันที่ซึ่งถูกย้ายมาบริเวณ 6 นาฬิกานั้น เรามีโอกาสได้สอบถามกับสำนักงานใหญ่ของแบรนด์ในช่วงวีดีโอคอลของงาน Watches and Wonders Geneva และได้รับคำตอบว่าที่ตัดสินใจย้ายหน้าต่างวันที่มาไว้ที่ 6 นาฬิกาก็เพื่อให้เหมือนกับนาฬิการุ่นดังรุ่นอื่นๆ ของ TAG Heuer อย่างเช่น Carrera และ Monaco ซึ่งเป็นคำตอบที่น่าฟังและเข้าท่าดี เมื่อพิจารณาจากรูปโคลสอัพก็จะเห็นชัดเจนด้วยว่าเลนส์ขยายวันที่นั้นถูกติดตั้งไว้ทางด้านในของแซฟไฟร์คริสตอล ทำให้พื้นผิวด้านนอกเรียบเกลี้ยง จับแล้วไม่มีอะไรสะดุด

Seven models in two sizes continue the legacy of the water-bound tool watch family.

TAG Heuer became the talk of the town on many occasions this year, and all for good reasons. We talked about the Swiss watchmaker’s partnership with Porsche back in February. That big news was followed by the presentation of the new Aquaracer line at the digital version of Watches and Wonders Geneva this year.
Introduced under this name in 2004, the Aquaracer is the culmination of TAG Heuer dive watches from the ‘80s and earlier. It is proposed as a luxury tool watch for people with sportive lifestyle – the kind of individuals who are ready to engage in outdoor activities and prefer to look good while doing so. The Aquaracer collection is reborn this year under the full moniker of Aquaracer 300 Calibre 5 Automatic, with seven models in two sizes of 43 mm for men and 36 mm for ladies.
Hands, hour markers and date window position are the most obvious changes for the 2021 lineup. The hour hand is now bolder with the sword design. Legibility is further improved with eight octagonal hour markers in between the cardinal positions, approximately echoing the shape of the unidirectional rotating bezel which encircles everything. Once in the dark, the interplay of green and blue Super-LumiNova will contribute to ease of time reading with green glow on the hour hand and the hour markers while the minute hand, the second hand and the diving scale on the bezel glow in blue.
As for the relocation of the date window to the six o’clock position, we inquired during Watches and Wonders Geneva and received explanation that the decision was made so that Aquaracer would have the date window at the same position as the other prominent TAG Heuer watches like the Carrera or the Monaco from now on. That is sensible indeed, and the magnifier is now integrated into the underside of the sapphire crystal so the external surface is smooth to the touch.
