Seiko ตอกย้ำความมุ่งมั่นในการเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่จะช่วยอนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่าและธรรมชาติบนโลกใบนี้ให้ยั่งยืนสืบต่อไป

เราได้ประจักษ์พยานถึงความจริงจังและมุ่งมั่นของ Seiko Thailand ในการให้การสนับสนุนกิจกรรมเชิงอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมและธรรมชาติในประเทศไทยมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งในปีนี้ก็ก้าวเข้าสู่ปีที่ 7 แล้วที่ Seiko Thailand จัดกิจกรรมเชิงอนุรักษ์อีกครั้งภายใต้คอนเซ็ปต์ Seiko “Save the Forest to Save Our Elephants” ซึ่งเป็นการควบรวมสองโครงการเพื่อการอนุรักษ์ช้างไทยและป่าไผ่ที่สอดคล้องกับคอลเลคชั่นนาฬิกาทั้ง 2 รุ่น คือ Seiko Prospex Thai Elephant Thailand Limited Edition รหัส SRPK57K และ Seiko Prospex Bamboo Grove Limited Edition รหัส SPB435J ระหว่างวันที่ 12-14 มีนาคม ที่ผ่านมาที่จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี ซึ่ง อเล็กซ์ เรนเดลล์ Brand Friend ได้ร่วมเดินทางและทำกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้ด้วย
เริ่มต้นทริปด้วยการเข้าเยี่ยมชมและเรียนรู้การทำงานของสายงานอนุรักษ์ช้างและสัตว์ป่าที่โรงพยาบาลสัตว์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ กำแพงแสน จังหวัดนครปฐม เราได้รับเกียรติจาก อ. สพ.ญ. ดร.สุภาเพ็ญ ศรีพิบูลย์ ในการให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการดูแลและรักษาช้างป่าและช้างบ้านที่เข้ามารักษาตัวยังโรงพยาบาลแห่งนี้ โดย Seiko Thailand ได้ทำการมอบเวชภัณฑ์ในการรักษาช้างและสัตว์ป่าให้กับทางโรงพยาบาลก่อนที่จะเดินทางไปยังจุดหมายต่อไป
ณ ปางช้างไทรโยค จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี อันเป็นจุดหมายถัดมาที่เราได้ไปทำความเข้าใจถึงวิถีการใช้ชีวิตและบทบาทสำคัญที่มีต่อระบบนิเวศของช้างอันเป็นสัตว์คู่บ้านคู่เมืองของไทยให้มากขึ้น ซึ่งช้างนับว่าเป็นจิกซอว์ชิ้นสำคัญที่ทำให้ระบบนิเวศหรือความสัมพันธ์อย่างเป็นระบบของสิ่งมีชีวิตและสิ่งแวดล้อมบนโลกใบนี้สมบูรณ์ในทุกมิติ หากไม่มีช้างก็สามารถส่งผลกระทบต่อธรรมชาติ มนุษย์และชุมชนได้ในวงกว้างอย่างไม่น่าเชื่อ
และในการเดินทางเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ เรายังมีโอกาสได้รู้จักและเรียนรู้โครงการเพาะเลี้ยง “วัวแดง” (Banteng) สัตว์ป่าที่เกือบจะสูญพันธุ์ไปจากประเทศไทย และโครงการปล่อยวัวแดงกลับสู่ผืนป่าธรรมชาติแห่งแรกของโลก รวมถึงได้รับรู้ถึงคุณประโยชน์ของป่าไผ่ที่มีต่อสัตว์ป่าและระบบนิเวศ โดยมีคุณเสรี นาคบุญ จากศูนย์ศึกษาธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่าเขาน้ำพุ จังหวัดกาญจนบุรีเป็นวิทยากร และในโอกาสนี้ Seiko Thailand ยังได้ส่งมอบ “เรือนเวลา” เรือนนอนปรับปรุงใหม่และชุดเครื่องนอนให้กับทางศูนย์ฯ เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกให้กับนักเรียนและผู้ที่สนใจเข้ามาศึกษาธรรมชาติที่ศูนย์ฯ แห่งนี้
จากการร่วมกิจกรรมกับ Seiko Thailand ในครั้งนี้ ภาพจิกซอว์ของระบบนิเวศเริ่มปะติดปะต่อทีละนิดและชัดเจนยิ่งขึ้น ความสมดุลย์ของระบบนิเวศนั้นจะขาดสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่งไปไม่ได้ สัตว์ป่า ธรรมชาติและมนุษย์ต่างก็ต้องพึ่งพาอาศัยซึ่งกันและกัน ทั้งยังได้เห็นถึงความตั้งใจจริงและความเสียสละของกลุ่มคนทำงานกลุ่มเล็กๆ หรือฮีโร่ที่ทำงานอยู่หน้าด่านหรือทำงานร่วมกับสัตว์ป่าและธรรมชาติอย่างไม่ย่อท้อ และยังเห็นถึงความจริงจังและจริงใจที่ Seiko Thailand ต้องการที่จะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการให้การสนับสนุนการพิทักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติให้คงอยู่กับคนรุ่นหลังต่อไป หวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าเมื่อท่านได้อ่านมาถึงตรงนี้แล้วจะเห็นด้วยและอยากร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการอนุรักษ์จิกซอว์เหล่านี้ให้คงอยู่อย่างยั่งยืนเพื่อโลกใบนี้ของเราต่อไป

The campaign reaffirms Seiko Thailand’s commitment to wildlife and nature conservation.

Seiko Thailand’s commitment to nature and environmental conservation in Thailand is evident in its support of conservation efforts. For the seventh consecutive year, Seiko Thailand continued the “Save the Forest to Save Our Elephants” campaign associated with the Seiko Prospex Thai Elephant Thailand Limited Edition (SRPK57K) and Seiko Prospex Bamboo Grove Limited Edition (SPB435J). This year’s campaign trip took place 12-14 March in Kanchanaburi and drew the participation of friend of the brand Alex Rendell.
First on the itinerary was a study tour of the Elephant and Wildlife Conservation Division at Kasetsat University Animal Hospital in Kamphaeng Saen, Nakhon Pathom, where participants were briefed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supapen Sripiboon on the hospital’s care and treatment of wild and domesticated elephants. The Seiko Thailand group donated medical supplies for the treatment of elephants and other wildlife species to the hospital before departing for Saiyok Elephant Park.
At the park in Kanchanaburi’s Saiyok District, the group acquired better understanding of elephants’ way of life and important role in our ecosystem. A key piece in the ecological jigsaw, elephants play a complementary role in every aspect of the complex network of relationships among living species and the environment. If they were to disappear from earth, an incredibly broad swath of our ecological landscape would be affected.
During the trip, participants learned about the Banteng breeding program designed to increase the population of this nearly extinct species. In a world’s first, Banteng bred in captivity are earmarked to be reintroduced into the wild. The group also learned about the benefits that bamboo forests provide to wildlife and our ecosystem as a whole, thanks to Mr. Seree Nakbun of Kanchanaburi’s Khao Namphu Nature and Wildlife Education Center. At the end of the visit, Seiko Thailand donated “Ruen Wela,” a newly renovated dormitory furnished with beddings, to the center for use by students and other visitors.
Seiko Thailand’s latest conservation activities helped participants to put together the pieces of the ecological puzzle and better understand that our ecosystem is made up of interdependent relationships between wildlife, nature and humans, each of which is an indispensable part of the whole. To all who took part in the campaign, the commitment and sacrifice of the front-line heroes became just as apparent as Seiko Thailand’s determination to contribute to the conservation of natural resources for future generations.
