Panerai is offering 15 customers a chance of a lifetime experience. In addition to the ownership of a fine timepiece, buyers of the Panerai Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry Edition (PAM00983) watch will get to visit Moorea in the French Polynesia this October. Members of this exclusive party will be led on dive into the pristine waters by none other but the namesake ambassador who has broken freediving world’s record on four occasions.
Measuring 47 mm in diameter, the case of Panerai Submersible Chrono Guillaume Néry Edition is light as it is made from titanium with black DLC treatment. The watch is water resistant to 300 metres, and, being a member of the Submersible family, comes equipped with a black ceramic unidirectional bezel for diver’s use. Additional functionality can be found within the flyback chronograph mechanism of the self-winding Calibre P.9100. The dial of this watch is given a sharkskin texture with an interesting gradient of colour from blue in the centre to black on the perimeter. A touch of turquoise on two chronograph hands, the minute chapters, the collection name and the depth rating provides an aesthetic link with the sea. Legibility in the dark and under poor lighting circumstances is ensured with the use of white luminous material where necessary.
