Phillips เคาะขายนาฬิกา Panerai รุ่นประวัติศาสตร์จำนวน 4 เรือนในราคาสูงลิ่วที่งานประมูล Hong Kong Watch Auction: XI

ตลาดนาฬิกาวินเทจยังคงคึกคักอย่างต่อเนื่องแม้ว่าสถานการณ์ในภาพรวมของโลกจะยังไม่ดีขึ้น ล่าสุด Phillips จัดงานประมูล Hong Kong Watch Auction: XI เมื่อวันที่ 30 พฤศจิกายนซึ่งภายในงานดังกล่าวมีการประมูลนาฬิกา Panerai วินเทจจำนวน 4 เรือนไปในราคาที่สูงกว่าราคาประเมินเป็นอย่างมาก
ที่โดดเด่นที่สุดก็คือ Panerai Luminor Marina Militare เรือนหนึ่งซึ่งผลิตเพื่อจำหน่ายให้กับกองทัพเรืออิตาเลียน นาฬิกาดำน้ำตัวเรือนสเตนเลสสตีลรุ่นนี้มีราคาประเมิน 240,000-480,000 ดอลลาร์ฮ่องกง แต่สุดท้ายทำราคาได้สูงกว่านั้นกว่าสามเท่าที่ 1,638,000 ดอลลาร์ฮ่องกง
อีกสามรุ่นที่ประมูลในวันเดียวกันนั้น ได้แก่ นาฬิกา GPF2/56 “Egiziano” ซึ่งทำราคาตามมาไม่ห่างที่ 1,386,000 ดอลลาร์ฮ่องกง นาฬิกา Ref. 6152/1 ซึ่งมีขอบตัวเรือนเพล็กซีแบบโปรโตไทป์ ทำราคาได้ 1,260,000 ดอลลาร์ฮ่องกง และ นาฬิกา Ref. 6152/1 อีกเรือนซึ่งประมูลขายได้ในราคา 907,200 ดอลลาร์ฮ่องกงโดยที่มีราคาประเมินเพียง 240,000-380,000 ดอลลาร์ฮ่องกง
ฌอง-มาร์ค ป็องทรูเอ ซีอีโอของ Panerai กล่าวว่า “เรารู้สึกตื่นเต้นที่ได้เห็นนาฬิกาวินเทจที่ไม่เหมือนใครเหล่านี้ในงานประมูล Panerai ได้ก้าวเข้าสู่โลกใหม่แห่งวัสดุไฮเทคและนวัตกรรมแล้ว แต่สิ่งที่ไม่เคยเปลี่ยนแปลงไปก็คือดีเอ็นเอที่ฝังลึกอยู่ในรากเหง้าแห่งความเป็นอิตาเลียนและประวัติศาสตร์อันลือเลื่องของเรา นาฬิการุ่นหายากทั้ง 4 เรือนภายในงานประมูลของ Phillips ที่ฮ่องกงนั้นเป็นตัวแทนแห่งความสำเร็จในอีกช่วงเวลาหนึ่งของเราที่มีความสำคัญไม่แพ้กัน และยังเป็นพื้นฐานอันแข็งแกร่งสำหรับการพัฒนาแบรนด์ในยุคสมัยปัจจุบันนี้ด้วย”
สำหรับสถิตินาฬิกา Panerai วินเทจที่มีราคาสูงสุดนั้นเกิดขึ้นเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2014 ในงานประมูลของ Sotheby’s ที่เจนีวา ในครั้งนั้นมีนักสะสม Panerai รายหนึ่งยอมจ่ายเงินสูงถึง 425,000 ฟรังก์สวิสเพื่อให้ได้ครอบครองนาฬิกา Luminor สุดหายากรุ่นหนึ่งจากปี ค.ศ. 1955

Four important vintage Panerai watches were sold well above their estimated prices at The Hong Kong Watch Auction: XI by Phillips.

The vintage watch markets of the world continue to thrive despite global circumstances. Most recently, at the Hong Kong Watch Auction: XI by Phillips on 30 November, four important vintage Panerai watches were sold at prices well above their estimate.
The most notable of the four was a Panerai Luminor Marina Militare. Originally produced for the Italian Navy, the stainless steel diver’s wristwatch was estimated to sell for HKD 240,000-480,000 but ended up commanding more than three times the estimate when it was hammered at the price of HKD 1,638,000.
Other pieces include the GPF2/56 “Egiziano” which trailed closely at HKD 1,386,000; a Ref. 6152/1 with a prototype plexi bezel which went for HKD 1,260,000; and, another example of a Ref. 6152/1 which was sold for HKD 907,200 against an estimated price of HKD 240,000-380,000.
“We were thrilled to see these unique vintage pieces at auction” says Jean-Marc Pontroué, Panerai CEO. “Panerai has been entering a new world with high-tech materials and innovation. However, what has not changed in our DNA is our strong Italian roots and legendary history. The four rare pieces listed in the Phillips auction in Hong Kong represent different yet equally important milestones in our history, which are also fundamental to the brand’s development in the present day”.
For the record, the highest price fetched by a vintage Panerai watch was set back in 2014 at a Sotheby’s auction in Geneva. A Panerai enthusiast paid CHF 425,000 for an extremely rare specimen of a Luminor from 1955.
Do note though that we are merely reporting on market developments and the willingness of collectors to pay for and own rare timepieces.
