Oris เปิดตัวนาฬิกา Guardian Flight Limited Edition เพื่อสนับสนุนงานบรรเทาไฟป่าและสาธารณภัย

Guardian Flight Limited Edition เป็นนาฬิกาที่อยู่ภายใต้คอนเซปท์ Change for the Better ของ Oris ที่มุ่งเน้นการผลักดันให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงเพื่อสิ่งที่ดีขึ้น โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในยุคสมัยที่โลกของเราต้องเผชิญกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมและสภาพภูมิอากาศอย่างรุนแรง ไฟป่าก็เป็นอีกปัญหาหนึ่งที่พบได้ในหลายพื้นที่ของโลก โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในภาคเหนือและภาคตะวันออกของประเทศไทยในช่วงเวลาที่สภาพอากาศร้อนและแห้ง บ้างก็เกิดจากการเสียดสีของต้นไม้แห้งโดยมีใบไม้ที่สุมกันอยู่บนพื้นเป็นเชื้อเพลิง บ้างก็เกิดจากการเผากำจัดวัชพืชหรือการทำไร่เลื่อนลอยแล้วไม่สามารถควบคุมไฟได้ และยิ่งเมื่อเกิดไฟป่าในบริเวณภูเขาก็จะขยายวงและทวีความรุนแรงได้เร็วยิ่งกว่าเวลาเกิดไฟป่าบนพื้นราบ
หน่วยงานหนึ่งที่เรามักเห็นในข่าวเวลาที่เกิดเหตุไฟป่าหรือสาธารณภัยก็คือทีมกู้ภัยประจำอากาศยาน ฮ.ปภ.32 (หรือที่เรียกชื่อในภาษาอังกฤษว่า Guardian Search and Rescue) สังกัดกรมป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย ซึ่งเป็นโครงการความร่วมมือระหว่างกระทรวงมหาดไทยและกองทัพบก เครื่องมือสำคัญของทีมบรรเทาสาธารณภัยนี้ก็คือเฮลิคอปเตอร์สีส้มรุ่น KA-32 ของบริษัท Kamov ประเทศรัสเซียจำนวน 4 ลำซึ่งประจำการอยู่ที่กองพันซ่อมบำรุงเครื่องบินทหารบก ค่ายภูมิพล จังหวัดลพบุรี เฮลิคอปเตอร์รุ่นนี้เป็นแบบใบพัดสองชั้นและไม่มีใบพัดด้านหลังจึงเหมาะกับการใช้งานในพื้นที่แคบ สามารถบินต่อเนื่องได้นาน ตลอดจนบรรทุกน้ำและสารเคมีดับไฟได้เป็นอย่างดีเพราะว่ามีเครื่องยนต์ 2 เครื่อง
Oris ริเริ่มโครงการผลิตนาฬิกา Guardian Flight Limited Edition เพื่อร่วมประชาสัมพันธ์และสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานของทีมกู้ภัยดังกล่าว พื้นฐานของการออกแบบคือนาฬิการุ่น ProPilot Big Day Date ขนาด 44 มม. ตัวเรือนสเตนเลสสตีลของนาฬิการุ่นนี้ได้รับการเคลือบเป็นสีเทากันเมทอลด้วยกระบวนการพีวีดี หน้าปัดเป็นสีเทาแบบด้าน ตัวเลขและขีดชั่วโมงสีส้มเหมือนเฮลิคอปเตอร์ Kamov KA-32 ที่ทีมกู้ภัยประจำอากาศยาน ฮ.ปภ.32 ใช้ในการปฏิบัติหน้าที เข็มชั่วโมงและเข็มนาทีสีขาวตัดกับพื้นหลังอย่างชัดเจน และมีเข็มวินาทีสีน้ำเงินเหมือนแถบด้านข้างตัวเครื่องเฮลิคอปเตอร์ KA-32 (บริเวณที่มีการเขียนชื่อกรมป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย) ฝาหลังแกะสลักเป็นรูปตรา Guardian Search and Rescue และหมายเลขประจำตัวเรือน XXX/100 ทำงานด้วยเครื่องนาฬิกาแบบขึ้นลานอัตโนมัติรุ่นคาลิเบอร์ 752 และสวมใส่ด้วยสายผ้าสีเทาหรือสายผ้าสีเขียวกากีที่มาพร้อมกันในชุด

Oris organized a press trip to Lopburi province of Thailand as an opportunity to preview the new Guardian Flight Limited Edition watch. We regrettably had to take a pass on that one due to other commitments. But that did not mean we were not interested in this important release of the year.
The Guardian Flight Limited Edition follows the Change for the Better concept of Oris where the Swiss watch brand pushes for much needed impacts where the environment and climate situations are concerned. Forest fires are a prevalent issue in many areas worldwide, especially in the northern and eastern regions of Thailand during hot and dry weather. Some fires result from the ignition of dried trees, with leaves acting as fuel, while others stem from uncontrolled burning of vegetation or shifting cultivation. Wildfires in mountainous areas are even worse as they can spread and intensify more rapidly than those on a flat terrain.
One agency we often see in the news when there is a wildfire or a disaster is the Guardians Search and Rescue under the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation – a unit of collaboration between the Ministry of Interior and the Army. Their main tools are the four orange Russian Kamov KA-32 helicopters stationed at the Army Aviation Maintenance Battalion at Bhumibol Camp in Lopburi. With a coaxial rotor and no tail rotor, this type of helicopter is suitable for tight spaces. It is capable of prolonged operation, and its double engines allows it to load up a great amount of water and firefighting chemicals.
Oris initiated the Guardian Flight Limited Edition watch project to promote and support the operations of the aforementioned rescue team. The basis for the design is the ProPilot Big Day Date model, with a 44 mm, gun-metal PVD treated stainless steel case. The matte gray dial features orange numerals and hour markers, resembling the color scheme of the Kamov KA-32 helicopter used by the Guardians. The hour and minute hands are white, contrasting clearly with the dial. The blue second hand recalls the stripe on the side of the Kamov KA-32 helicopter (where the name of Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation is spelled out). The engraved case back features the Guardian Search and Rescue emblem and the serial number XXX/100. The watch is equipped with the self-winding Caliber 752. It is worn on a gray or khaki green textile strap, both included in the set.
