การกลับมาของ Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Diver นาฬิกาดำน้ำที่ทรงประสิทธิภาพในท้องทะเลและดูดีมีสไตล์เมื่ออยู่บนบก

การออกแบบนาฬิกาดำน้ำไม่ใช่เรื่องง่าย โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งถ้าคุณต้องการให้นาฬิกาดำน้ำของคุณนั้นมีลุคที่เป็นตัวของตัวเองไม่เหมือนใคร และ Maurice Lacroix ก็ประสบความสำเร็จในการออกแบบนาฬิกาดำน้ำที่มีเอกลักษณ์แล้วในชื่อ Pontos S Diver เมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2013 โดยมีจุดเด่นอยู่ที่ขอบตัวเรือนแบบหมุนได้ที่อยู่ใต้แซฟไฟร์คริสตอลและควบคุมด้วยเม็ดมะยมเม็ดที่สอง นาฬิการุ่นดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของคอลเลคชั่นนาฬิกาสไตล์สปอร์ต Pontos S แต่ก็เป็นที่น่าเสียดายที่ Maurice Lacroix เลิกผลิตไปแบบเงียบๆ ในปี ค.ศ. 2016 เพราะต้องการหันไปทำตลาดคอลเลคชั่น Aikon ใหม่ที่เพิ่งเปิดตัวในปีนั้นอย่างจริงจัง
แต่เมื่อ Maurice Lacroix ได้รับทราบถึงความสนใจที่ผู้คนยังมีให้กับนาฬิการุ่นดังกล่าว เราจึงได้เห็นการกลับมาของ Pontos S Diver ซึ่งในครั้งนี้ออกแบบร่วมกับลีเดีย ลีอิช สมาชิกทีม ML Crew และนักดำน้ำแบบฟรีไดฟ์วิ่งระดับแชมป์โลกซึ่งครองสถิติการอยู่ใต้น้ำโดยไม่มีเครื่องช่วยหายใจได้เป็นเวลา 5 นาที 43 วินาที ตัวเรือนสเตนเลสสตีลแบบขัดด้านและขัดเงามีขนาดเส้นผ่าศูนย์กลาง 42 มม. หนา 12 มม. และกันน้ำได้ลึก 300 เมตร สีหน้าปัดมีให้เลือกสองสีด้วยกัน ได้แก่ หน้าปัดลายเกรนสีดำแต่งลวดลายสีส้ม และ หน้าปัดแลคเกอร์สีขาวแต่งลวดลายสีน้ำเงิน ทั้งสองรุ่นมีหน้าต่างวันที่อยู่ที่ตำแหน่ง 6 นาฬิกาและมีจานวันที่ที่เป็นสีเดียวกันกับสีของหน้าปัด
สำหรับรุ่นหน้าปัดดำนั้นจะมาพร้อมกับสายยางสีส้ม สายยางสีดำและสายไนล่อนสีดำ ส่วนรุ่นหน้าปัดขาวจะมาพร้อมกับสายยางสีน้ำเงิน สายยางสีขาวและสายไนล่อนสีดำ การสับเปลี่ยนสายทำได้ง่ายดายด้วยระบบ Easychange ของ Maurice Lacroix คุณจึงเลือกเปลี่ยนลุคให้นาฬิกาตามลักษณะการใช้งานหรือเพื่อให้เหมาะกับการแต่งกายในช่วงวันหยุดพักผ่อนที่เดินทางท่องเที่ยวหรือวันทำงานในเมืองได้บ่อยครั้งเท่าที่ต้องการ เมื่อประกอบกับขนาดที่กำลังดีและดีไซน์ที่ไม่สุดขั้วจนเกินไปแล้วจึงทำให้ Pontos S Diver เป็นนาฬิกาที่ทั้งผู้ชายและผู้หญิงใส่ได้แบบดูดีเท่าๆ กันอีกด้วย
หากใครสงสัยว่ามีสายสเตนเลสสตีลให้เลือกหรือไม่ คำตอบคือ เวลานี้ยังไม่มี แต่อีกไม่นานจะมี เพราะเราได้รับคำตอบจากผู้บริหารของแบรนด์ในช่วงของเงินเปิดตัวระดับภูมิภาคที่สมุยว่าเขากำลังออกแบบกันอยู่แล้ว ในเวลานี้อีกเวอร์ชั่นเดียวที่มีขายก็คือรุ่นตัวเรือนบรอนซ์หน้าปัดลายเกรนสีน้ำเงินที่ผลิตเป็นลิมิเต็ดเอดิชั่นจำนวน 500 เรือน สำหรับนาฬิการุ่นบรอนซ์นี้จะสวมใส่ด้วยสายยางสีน้ำเงินหรือสายหนังสีน้ำเงิน และมีหัวเข็มขัดบรอนซ์มาให้ใช้เข้าชุดกันอย่างครบถ้วน เครื่องนาฬิกาที่ใช้ใน Pontos S Diver ทุกเวอร์ชั่นคือเครื่องแบบขึ้นลานอัตโนมัติรุ่น ML115 ซึ่งมีกำลังลานสำรองนอน 38 ชั่วโมง
โดยรวมแล้วต้องบอกว่า Pontos S Diver เริ่มต้นได้อย่างสวยงาม (หรือจะให้ถูกต้องบอกว่า “เริ่มต้นใหม่อีกครั้งได้อย่างสวยงาม”) เราเห็นด้วยที่ Maurice Lacroix เลือกทำ Pontos S Diver เจเนอเรชั่นที่สองนี้ให้มีขนาดเล็กลงและบางลงเล็กน้อยเพราะตัวเรือนขนาดใหม่ใส่ง่ายกว่า และในเมื่อระดับการกันน้ำลดลงจาก 600 เมตรเหลือ 300 เมตรแล้วราคานาฬิกาก็ลดลงตามด้วย ทั้งหมดนี้เป็นประเด็นที่ต้องผ่านกระบวนการไตร่ตรองมาเป็นอย่างดี เพราะถึงแม้ว่านาฬิกาดำน้ำจะเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ในกลุ่มเทคนิคอลแต่ว่า Maurice Lacroix ก็จะต้องขายนาฬิกาเหล่านี้ส่วนมากให้กับผู้ซื้อที่เป็นผู้บริโภคทั่วไปอยู่ดี ดังนั้นระดับการกันน้ำ 300 เมตรจึงเป็นเรทติ้งที่เหลือเฟืออยู่แล้ว และการมีฮีเลียมเอสเคปวาล์วก็ไม่จำเป็นเท่ากับการมีสีสันต่างๆ ให้เลือกเพื่อตอบโจทย์ทางด้านไลฟ์สไตล์ เราเชื่อเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่า Pontos S Diver จะได้รับการตอบรับเป็นอย่างดีในตลาดไทย เพราะถ้าแค่ลูกค้าที่มี Aikon อยู่ซื้อนาฬิการุ่นใหม่นี้แค่ท่านละเรือนทาง Maurice Lacroix ก็เอาของเข้ามาเติมไม่ทันแล้วล่ะครับ!!!
Ten years after the original model was introduced, the new Pontos S Diver is brought back in the same aesthetic language, but with more urban styling

Designing a dive watch is never an easy task, and even more so if you want it to possess a look of originality. Maurice Lacroix did a great job with the first Pontos S Diver watch in 2013: a member of the Pontos S range of sportive watches. It was solid and practical with an internal rotating bezel that was controlled by a second crown. The Pontos S Diver was quietly abandoned in 2016 though when Maurice Lacroix put all effort on the then brand new Aikon range of watches.
Fortunately for the watch lovers of the world, due to popular requests, the Swiss watchmaker has decided to bring back the model after a short hiatus, and it is full of potentials. The new Pontos S Diver was developed in collaboration with ML Crew member and world champion freediver Lidija Lijic who holds the record of staying 5 minutes and 43 seconds under water. Its brushed and polished stainless steel case, water resistant to 300 meters, measures 42 mm in diameter and 12 mm in thickness. Dial choices are either black grained dial with orange accent or white lacquered dial with blue accent. On both versions, the date window symmetrically placed at the six o’clock position and the date disc in the same color as the dial.
The black dial version comes with a lively orange rubber strap, a black rubber strap and a black nylon strap. Similarly, the white dial version is worn on a dark blue rubber strap, a white rubber strap or a dark blue nylon strap. Swapping one strap for another is made effortless with Maurice Lacroix’s Easychange system. The stylistic versatility here is commendable, making for seamless transition from the oceans to the cities and just about anywhere. The Pontos S Diver looks at home on both male and female wrists, thanks to its moderate size and non-extreme styling.
We did ask the brand’s management during the regional launch event on Samui Island about the possibility of a stainless steel option, and we are happy to report that it is being developed for future release. For the time being, the only other variation is a limited edition of 500 pieces in bronze with a dark blue grained dial. This particular version is worn on either a dark blue rubber strap or a dark blue leather strap, both with a corresponding bronze pin buckle. All models use the self-winding caliber ML115 with a standard power reserve of 38 hours.
All in all, it is a very positive start (or more correctly, restart) for the collection. Maurice Lacroix has appropriately chosen to make this second generation Pontos S Diver slightly smaller and slimmer than before. Water resistance rating might have been reduced from 600 meters to 300 meters, but what is gained in the process is physical wearability and a little bit of pricing accessibility. This is a very important element to consider because, despite diving watches being a technical product, Maurice Lacroix needs to sell the majority of their output to lifestyle consumers still. Three hundred meters is more than enough, and aesthetic variations are more needed, than, say, a helium escape valve. We will watch with interest how the Pontos S Diver will perform in the Thai market. But if all Aikon owners here will buy one, that will be a lot of sales already!!!
