LVMH จัดงานเปิดตัวนาฬิกาใหม่ระลอกแรกของปีนี้ที่ไมอามี

LVMH Watch Week เป็นงานเปิดตัวนาฬิกาเฉพาะกลุ่มที่จัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกปีโดยจะย้ายสถานที่ไปยังภูมิภาคต่างๆ เรื่อยไป ครั้งแรกเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2020 จัดที่ดูไบ หลังจากนั้นต้องจัดแบบออนไลน์เป็นเวลา 2 ปีเพราะเป็นช่วงโควิด ก่อนที่จะกลับมาจัดเต็มรูปแบบได้อีกครั้งในปี ค.ศ. 2023 ที่สิงคโปร์ สำหรับปีปัจจุบันนี้ LVMH Watch Week จัดที่ไมอามีช่วงวันที่ 28 มกราคม – 1 กุมภาพันธ์ โดยนอกจากจะมี 4 แบรนด์หลักเป็น Bulgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer และ Zenith แล้วการจัดงานในครั้งที่ 5 นี้ก็ยังมี Gérald Genta และ Daniel Roth มาร่วมด้วยหลังจากที่มีการฟื้นฟูชื่อแบรนด์ทั้งสองนี้ขึ้นมาใหม่อยู่ภายใต้การดำเนินงานของ La Fabrique du Temps ซึ่งเป็นโรงงานผลิตนาฬิกาในครอบครองของเครือ
คุณเฟรเดอริค อาร์โนลต์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร LVMH Watches กล่าวว่า “LVMH Watch Week เป็นการโคจรมาพบกันครั้งใหญ่ของแบรนด์ต่างๆ ในเครือเรา และเป็นโอกาสให้เราได้เริ่มต้นปีด้วยการต้อนรับลูกค้าและพาร์ทเนอร์ของเราด้วยตนเอง งานไฮไลท์นาฬิกาประจำปีนี้นำเสนอความคิดสร้างสรรค์อันเหนือระดับของทีมงานของเรา และเป็นการเปิดประสบการณ์เฉพาะให้กับแขกคนพิเศษของเราได้ค้นพบผลงานใหม่ๆ ซึ่งอัดแน่นไปด้วยความเชี่ยวชาญในงานประดิษฐ์นาฬิกาและวิสัยทัศน์ที่ไม่เหมือนใคร”
แต่ละแบรนด์ที่มาก็มีนาฬิกาใหม่เปิดตัวแบรนด์ละหลายรุ่น เราจึงเลือกนาฬิกาของ 4 แบรนด์หลักมาแบรนด์ละรุ่นเพื่อนำเสนอในบทความนี้
ผลงานที่โดดเด่นที่สุดของ Hublot ย่อมต้องเป็น MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System ซึ่งมีเครื่องนาฬิกาที่ประกอบด้วยชิ้นส่วนจำนวนมากถึง 592 ชิ้นและใช้เวลาวิจัยและพัฒนานานถึง 5 ปี นาฬิการุ่นนี้ไม่มีเข็ม แต่ใช้แกนหมุนซ้อนกัน 2 แกนเพื่อแสดงค่าชั่วโมงและนาทีอยู่ที่ตำแหน่ง 12 นาฬิกาของนาฬิกาปกติ ส่วนวินาทีนั้นอยู่ในรูปของวงแหวนที่ล้อมรอบกรงตูร์บิยองแบบเอียงที่ตำแหน่ง 6 นาฬิกาของนาฬิกาปกติ
เครื่องหมายแสดงกำลังลานสำรองของนาฬิการุ่นนี้เป็นแบบทรงกลม แทรกตัวอยู่ตรงกลางระหว่างชุดแสดงค่าเวลาด้านบนและด้านล่างเพื่อบอกว่านาฬิกาเหลือลานมากน้อยเพียงใด ทางด้านซ้ายและขวามีตุ้มน้ำหนักไวท์โกลด์ที่เคลื่อนตัวในแนวตั้งเพื่อขึ้นลานนาฬิกาจนเต็ม 48 ชั่วโมง นาฬิการุ่นนี้มีตัวเรือนไทเทเนียมขนาดยาว 54.1 มม. กว้าง 41.5 มม. หนา 22.4 มม. และสวมใส่ด้วยสายยางสีดำ จำกัดจำนวนการผลิตเพียง 50 เรือนเท่านั้น

The annual showcase presents the year’s first batch of novelties from the brands within the group.

LVMH Watch Week is a group-centric watch novelty reveal event held every year, rotating among regions around the world. The first one was held in Dubai in 2020, followed by two years of digital events due to the pandemic, and then the Singapore edition returned live in 2023. For 2024, Miami hosted LVMH Watch Week from 28 January to 1 February. In addition to the four mainstay brands of Bulgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith, this fifth edition was joined by Gérald Genta and Daniel Roth – both recently relaunched by the group’s very own La Fabrique du Temps.

While multiple novelties were launched by the primary four brands, we will feature only one from each in this article.
Hublot’s most technically advanced offering, the MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System watch boasts a movement that is comprised of 592 components, which required five years of research and development work. It tells the time without the use of a hand. Two stacked rollers indicate the hour and the minute around the position where the 12 o’clock marker would have been. The second is marked by a ring around the cage of the inclined tourbillon at the (conventional) 6 o’clock position.
A circular power reserve sits in between the time indications to inform the watch owner of the remaining reserve from the full 48 hours. Two linear white gold weights on the left and right travel vertically and wind the movement bidirectionally. This titanium watch measures 54.1 mm long, 41.5 mm wide and 22.4 mm thick and is worn on a black structured rubber strap. It is limited to only 50 units.
If you are more into the nostalgic than the cutting-edge, then Zenith has the exact novelty to thrill you. The Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar marks the return of the triple calendar chronograph to the brand with the five-pointed star. So, in addition to the 1/10th of a second chronograph in the classical tricompax format, you get two windows for the day and month at 10 and 2 o’clock, respectively, while the date window sits between 4 and 5 o’clock. There is also the moon phase indication that occupies the upper half of the 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock.
Measuring 38 mm in diameter, the watch case follows the exact proportions of the A386 from 1969, so that should be delightful to many. The three dial options include silver with black counters, slate grey with silver counters, and olive green with silver counters. Wear this watch on either a stainless steel bracelet or a calfskin leather strap in a colour complementing that of the dial.
Coming in at the same diameter of 38 mm but proposing a very different appearance is the iconic Bulgari Bulgari, now available in yellow gold. Just one year shy of its 50th anniversary, this LVMH Watch Week 2024 novelty is officially considered gender-neutral, due to its median size. Its black matte dial is relatively minimalistic, with only two numbers at the top and bottom of the dial. The self-winding Calibre BVL191 offers an autonomy of 42 hours. You can buy this as a pair watch because there is a smaller version of 26 mm, powered by a time-only quartz movement. A duo of identical twins exists in the combination of a rose gold and silvered matte opaline dial. They come in the same two sizes of 38 mm on a brown alligator strap and 26 mm on a beige alligator strap.
Last but not least, TAG Heuer continues proliferating their collection with the use of lab-grown diamonds. After the Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde with pink diamonds last year, TAG Heuer has presented the second version of that watch with yellow diamonds for the shield logo and the crown. All hour markers are set with baguette-cut white diamonds. The dial itself is quite a work of art, and science – having been created from the growth of numerous diamonds into a single, circular disc of 2.9 carats. The 36 mm case of white gold contains the entirety of the sparkles. A white alligator strap completes the ice cool ensemble.
We are, of course, very interested to talk about Gérald Genta and Daniel Roth because we are familiar with both brands from before the time when they were acquired by Bulgari, and in turn, LVMH. But we will do so at a later time, when we have more solid information about how the brands are being operated under the new arrangements.
