เวิร์คช็อปผลิตนาฬิกาทั้งสองแห่งของ Grand Seiko ยังคงแข่งกันผลิตผลงานที่น่าสนใจออกมาดึงดูดลูกค้าทั่วโลกอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยทาง Shinshu Watch Studio ที่นากาโนะนั้นทำหน้าที่ผลิตนาฬิกาเครื่องสปริงไดรฟ์ และ Shizukuishi Studio ที่โมริโอกะเป็นผู้ผลิตนาฬิกาจักรกล และมีธีม Nature of Time เป็นเครื่องกำหนดทิศทางทั้งในเชิงปรัชญาและการออกแบบ สุดท้ายจึงนำไปสู่หน้าปัดที่มีลวดลายต่างๆ อันได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากสิ่งที่อยู่ในธรรมชาติ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเปลือกไม้หรือริ้วคลื่นบนผิวน้ำก็ตาม
Grand Seiko Spring Drive GMT Triple Time Zone SBGE295 คือผลงานรุ่นล่าสุดที่เดินตามเส้นทางสายนี้เหมือนรุ่นพี่ ในครั้งนี้บรรดาเหล่าช่างแห่ง Shinshu Watch Studio ขอเลือกให้เกียรติแก่ภูเขาโฮตากะซึ่งอยู่ขึ้นไปทางทิศตะวันตกเฉียงเหนือจากโรงงานด้วยหน้าปัดที่มีลวดลายเหมือนกับหน้าผาบนภูเขาแห่งนี้ซึ่งเป็นลวดลายที่เกิดจากการผ่านร้อนผ่านหนาวมานานหลายศตวรรษ ส่วนเหตุผลที่เลือกใช้สีเขียวนั้นก็เพื่อย้ำเตือนว่าภูเขาแห่งนี้มีช่วงเวลาที่เป็นฤดูร้อนจริงเพียงแค่ไม่นานเท่านั้น
SBGE295 รุ่นนี้ทำงานด้วยเครื่องนาฬิกาแบบสปริงไดรฟ์รุ่นคาลิเบอร์ 9R66 ซึ่งมีเข็มแบบ 24 ชั่วโมงที่เอาไว้อ่านควบคู่กับสเกลบนขอบหมุนสีเขียวและขาว ตัวเรือนตามสเปคมีขนาดที่ฟังดูอาจจะใหญ่อยู่ที่ 44 มม. แต่เมื่อสวมจริงแล้วเรารู้สึกว่ามันไม่ได้ใหญ่ขนาดนั้น เอาเป็นว่าเราขอแนะนำให้คุณไปลองด้วยตนเองที่บูติคเลยจะชัวร์ที่สุด

The friendly competition between the two main studios of Grand Seiko continues with the Shinshu Watch Studio in Nagano producing Spring Drive watches and the Shizukuishi Studio in Morioka producing mechanical watches. But in terms of overall product portfolios, they are pretty much united by the “Nature of Time” theme that is interpreted in both philosophical and tangible levels. The latter is now immortalized by the different watches whose dial features a natural pattern, such as tree bark or a water ripple.
Grand Seiko Spring Drive GMT Triple Time Zone SBGE295 follows this established, world-famous direction. This time, the artisans of the Shinshu Watch Studio have decided to honour the Hotaka Mountains that stand to the northwest of their workplace with a dial pattern reminiscent of the mountain’s cliff faces, sculpted over centuries by the winds and the snow. It is given a green colour as a sentimental tribute to the short period of summer enjoyed by the ridge itself.
SBGE295 is powered by the Spring Drive Calibre 9R66 with a 24-hour hand to be read with the corresponding scale on the green and white bidirectional rotating bezel. It may sound large at 44 mm but you will find that it wears slightly smaller than that, so please check it out at the boutique.
