อย่างในครั้งนี้ Franck Muller เลือกผลิตตัวเรือนของนาฬิกา Vanguard Beach ด้วยวัสดุกลาสไฟเบอร์คอมโพสิทเพื่อให้ได้ลวดลายเหมือนริ้วของทรายบนชายหาด ขั้นตอนแรกของการผลิตตัวเรือนคือการนำเอาแก้วไปหลอมเหลวที่อุณหภูมิ 1,500 องศาเซลเซียสแล้วจับดึงให้เป็นเส้นบางๆ ก่อนที่จะปล่อยให้เย็นตัวลงแล้วผสานกันเป็นแผ่นที่อุณหภูมิ 700 องศาเซลเซียส แผ่นแก้วที่ได้มานี้จะถูกนำไปย้อมสีก่อนเอามาวางซ้อนกันและใช้แรงกดผนึกเข้าด้วยกันก่อนที่จะขึ้นรูปเป็นตัวเรือนนาฬิกาขนาด 41 x 49.95 มม. ทั้งนี้ กลาสไฟเบอร์คอมโพสิทเป็นวัสดุที่มีน้ำหนักเบาแต่ว่ามีความทนทานสูง หากเปรียบเทียบกับสเตนเลสสตีลจะพบว่ากลาสไฟเบอร์คอมโพสิทที่มีความหนาแน่นเพียงหนึ่งในสี่ของสตีลจะมีความแข็งแกร่งในเชิงกลเท่ากับสตีลแล้ว คุณจึงสามารถใส่นาฬิการุ่นนี้ไปเที่ยวช่วงวันหยุดพักผ่อน ไปทำกิจกรรมกลางแจ้งหรือปาร์ตี้ยามค่ำคืนให้สนุกสุดเหวี่ยงได้โดยไม่ต้องกังวลอะไรมากนักเรื่องนาฬิกา

It may be a little late in the European summer season, but we should say it is more about the vibe than the actual time of the year. Franck Muller has just released a small series of watches under the Vanguard Beach label. Combining the vivid hues of fiery red, ocean blue and summer green with the brand’s signature case shape, these sport chic timepieces are not meant to be worn only on the sandy beaches, but also to transport the pleasantness of one into any room you walk in.
Vanguard is the perfect template or foundation for this trio of watches. The case was first presented in 2014 as a sporty interpretation of the tonneau case shape design that is the favorite of the brand’s founder. Over the years, the Vanguard has become more and more popular with existing and new customers, thanks to the wearability afforded by its slight curvature that wraps around the wrist and the absence of lugs that keeps the case length only to the essential. We should note also the fact that Franck Muller found the Vanguard to be a most versatile platform for the realization of several themes with different materials and colors.
For the case of the Vanguard Beach, Franck Muller has turned to the glass fiber composite in order to realize a pattern of rippling sand on the beach. Glass is first melted at 1,500°C before it is drawn into very fine filaments, which are then cooled down and formed into sheets at the temperature of 700°C. The resulting sheets are dyed in color baths, layered, compressed together and eventually machined into watch cases that measure 41 x 49.95 mm. Glass fiber composite cases are lightweight but nevertheless durable – they have comparable mechanical strength to stainless steel at just a quarter the density. You can wear this watch to vacations, outdoor activities or some wild parties in a pretty much carefree manner.
The Franck Muller Vanguard Beach is powered by the self-winding MVT FM 800-DT movement with a power reserve of 42 hours. It is worn on a matching fabric velcro strap for maximum sportiness.
