นี่เป็นครั้งแรกตั้งแต่ที่มีนิตยสาร World of Watches Thailand และเว็บไซท์ Luxuo Thailand ที่เราต้องรายงานข่าวนาฬิการุ่นใหม่จากที่บ้านแทนที่จะเป็นศูนย์การประชุม Palexpo ที่เจนีวา อย่างที่ทราบกันดีว่ากิจกรรมต่างๆ ของโลกมีอันต้องยกเลิกกันหมดเพราะ Covid-19 และงาน Watches & Wonders Geneva (ชื่อเดิม SIHH) ก็เช่นเดียวกัน ดังนั้นวิธีการที่ดีที่สุดที่ผู้จัดงานและแบรนด์นาฬิกาต่างๆ พอจะทำได้ก็คือการเผยแพร่ภาพและข้อมูลของผลิตภัณฑ์ใหม่ล่าสุดผ่านทางช่องทางดิจิตอลตามกำหนดการเดิมแทน และเราก็พร้อมเลือกหนึ่งรุ่นจากบางแบรนด์มาให้คุณได้ชมกันก่อนเลย
For the first time in the history of World of Watches/Luxuo Thailand, we are covering the year’s watch novelties from home in Bangkok rather than Palexpo, Geneva. Covid-19 changes everything. With the physical show cancelled, the organiser of Watches & Wonders Geneva (formerly known as SIHH) and the participating brands have decided to release the new watches on the original show date, but digitally instead. Here are our first picks for your viewing pleasure.
Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin Skeleton

The ever-so-versatile Overseas collection is expanded once again, this time with the skeletonised version of the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin watch. Maintaining the same dimension of 41.5 mm in diameter and 8.1 mm in thickness, the pink gold timepiece receives a new interpretation with a completely skeletonised self-winding movement – itself as slim as 4.05 mm – underneath the sapphire dial. Solid gold hour markers ensure legibility, as does the dial flange bearing the minute chapters. As a perpetual calendar watch, this Vacheron Constantin is mechanically programmed to know the differing lengths of the month up until the year 2100, provided that you keep it running constantly. It comes, of course, with the most practical interchangeability of the gold bracelet, the leather strap and the rubber strap.
Hermès Arceau L’heure de la lune

With the first two versions sold out last year, Hermès follows up with the introduction of the Arceau L’heure de la lune watch in new variations – the one shown here is a limited series of 36 units. This 43 mm white gold watch is a moon phase watch like none other, featuring two mother-of-pearl representations of the moon at the top and the bottom of the lunar meteorite dial. A pair of planetary counters for the time and the date, executed here in gradient brown lacquer, travel across these moons to hide or reveal them as the lunar month progresses, creating a realistic view for residents of both the northern and the southern hemispheres. A matt alligator in Havana brown colour gives this version of Arceau L’heure de la lune a sober and serious look.
A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Minute Repeater
A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Minute Repeater เปิดตัวครั้งแรกเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2015 และสร้างประวัติศาสตร์ด้วยการเป็นนาฬิการุ่นแรกในโลก (และยังคงเป็นรุ่นเดียว) ที่มีสองฟังก์ชั่นพิเศษอยู่ด้วยกัน นั่นก็คือการแสดงค่าเวลาด้วยระบบตัวเลข และกลไกมินิทรีพีทเตอร์แบบเดซิมอลซึ่งมีแฮมเมอร์สองตัวบนหน้าปัดทำหน้าที่ตีเสียงบอกเวลาเป็นชั่วโมง เป็นห้วง 10 นาทีและเป็นเศษนาที ในปี ค.ศ. 2020 นี้ A. First introduced in 2015, the Zeitwerk Minute Repeater by A. Lange & Söhne was (and still is) considered a pioneer in that it is the only watch in the world to feature a digital time display, together with a decimal minute repeater which vocalises the hour, the 10-minute intervals and the elapsed minute(s) with those two hammers above the dial. Its ingenious, constant-force, hand-winding movement comprises 771 parts. For 2020, A. Lange & Söhne offers a new edition of this 44.2 mm watch as a series of 30 units in white gold, instead of platinum like in the past, with a solid silver dial in deep blue dial. A hand-stitched blue leather strap completes this package. The retail price for this watch is EUR 449,000.
Panerai Luminor Marina Titanio DMLS 44 mm PAM01117

The personality of the PAM01117 watch is most prominent in the dark when its Super-LumiNova shines not only from the hands and the markers, but also the dial flange, the crown protection device and the stitching on the blue strap which is made of a proprietary, waterproof material called Sportech. A second strap, included in the package, is made of rubber and also in blue. The Luminor Marina Titanio DMLS 44 mm PAM01117 is limited to 270 pieces. It has an autonomy of three days, thanks to the twin barrels of the in-house, self-winding P.9010 movement. Interestingly the watch is guaranteed to an incredible period of 70 years – a subtle reference to how the name Luminor was first used 70 years ago for Panerai’s tritium-based luminous substance.
IWC Portugieser Automatic 40 Ref. 3583

Please give a round of applause to perfection. While the more sophisticated references are on the offer from IWC this year, we feel the need to highlight this quintessential Portugieser Automatic 40 Ref. 3583 in a most wearable size of 40.4 mm – that middle ground between the 44 mm Portugieser Hand-Wound Ref. 5454 of 2013 and the 35 mm Portugieser Automatic Ref. 3531 of 2002. In fact, it is closest to the original Portugieser Ref. 325 watch of the 1930s which measured 41.5 mm. Few round watches are as emblematic as the IWC Portugieser with very consistent case, lugs and dial designs across the generations. This new Ref. 3583 takes the collection into the future with the in-house, self-winding 82200 calibre with 60-hour power reserve. It is also available in stainless steel with three dial variations.
Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Concept
Piaget เคยเอานาฬิกา Altiplano Ultimate Concept ให้นักข่าวดูที่งาน SIHH (Watches & Wonders Geneva ในปัจจุบัน) เมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2018 โดยมีตัวเรือนที่บางเพียง 2 มม. เพราะว่าตัวเรือนนั้นก็ทำหน้าที่เป็นรากฐานของตัวเครื่องแล้วด้วย แม้แต่เม็ดมะยมก็ยังผสานเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของตัวเรือนอย่างแนบเนียนจนไม่มีอะไรนูนขึ้นมา ดังนั้นหลายคนจึงถาม Piaget ว่าผลิตขายจริงไหวหรือ และจะเอาไปใส่ในชีวิตประจำวันได้จริงๆ หรือไม่ คำตอบของ Piaget ในปีนี้ก็คือว่า “ผลิตไหว” และ “ใส่ได้” ดังที่นำมาเปิดตัวอย่างเป็นทางในปีนี้ สิ่งหนึ่งที่ดูจากรูปแล้วไม่รู้ก็คือว่าตัวเรือนนั้นไม่ได้เป็นทอง เนื่องจากทองเป็นวัสดุที่อ่อนเกินไปสำหรับการใช้เป็นโครงสร้างในลักษณะนี้ Piaget จึงต้องคิดค้นอัลลอยชนิดใหม่ขึ้นเป็นพิเศษเพื่อโปรเจคนี้โดยเฉพาะและมีส่วนผสมหลักเป็นโคบอลท์นั่นเอง
Originally revealed to the press as a prototype watch at the 2018 edition of SIHH (now Watches & Wonders Geneva), the timepiece measured only 2 mm in thickness because the case itself already served as the foundation for the movement – it even had an integrated winding crown that disappears from view when not in use. Naturally, many who had seen the watch questioned if it could be produced commercially and if it would be fit for real world wearing. Piaget confirmed this year that “they can” and “it is” so we have here the Altiplano Ultimate Concept for purchasing. Note that gold is too soft a material for the purpose so the manufacture had to specifically engineer a cobalt-based alloy for this project instead.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso One Red Wine
เราเชื่อว่า Jaeger-LeCoultre กำลังซุ่มผลิตนาฬิกา Reverso หลายรุ่นสำหรับปีหน้าซึ่งจะเป็นวาระครบรอบ 90 ปีของคอลเลคชั่นนี้ แต่ก่อนจะถึงเวลานั้นก็ยังปล่อย Reverso One Red Wine รุ่นนี้ออกมาให้เตะตาเราหรือใครหลายคนด้วยสีแดงสดของแลคเกอร์ที่ลงทับซ้อนกันหลายชั้นเหนือพื้นหน้าปัดที่เป็นลวดลายกิโยเช่แบบซันเรย์แผ่กระจายจากจุดศูนย์กลางออกไปยังมุมทั้งสี่ Reverso One เป็นคอลเลคชั่นย่อยที่แตกต่างจากรูปทรงของ Reverso ร่วมสมัยปกติด้วยตัวเรือนที่มีลักษณะผอมยาวกว่า วัดขนาดตามแนวกว้างได้ 20 มม. และตามแนวยาวได้ 40 มม. เมื่อพลิกมาทางด้านหลังจะพบพื้นที่ว่างเปล่าเพื่อให้ลูกค้าผู้ซื้อนาฬิกาสั่งแกะสลักข้อความหรือลวดลายพิเศษบนเนื้อสเตนเลสสตีลได้ นาฬิการุ่นนี้สวมใส่ด้วยสายหนังจระเข้ผิวเงาสีแดงเข้ากับหน้าปัด และทำงานด้วยเครื่องควอตซ์
The Grande Maison of Le Sentier may be preparing for a big Reverso year in 2021 when the collection celebrates its 90th anniversary. For the time being, one watch captivates us: the Reverso One Red Wine. The Reverso One is subcollection that departs from the mainstream, contemporary Reverso design with elongated and narrower case that measures 20 mm wide and 40 mm tall. This Red Wine version adds an extra dose of appeal with multiple layers of vivid red lacquer over the sunray guilloche pattern which radiates from the centre to the four corners of the dial. Meanwhile, the verso side of the stainless case is solid and blank, providing a secret space for special engraving as may be commissioned by the client. For ultimate convenience, this watch on shiny red alligator strap is powered by a quartz movement.
Cartier Maillon de Cartier
Cartier เป็นแบรนด์ที่มีความสามารถในการออกแบบนาฬิกาที่มีรูปทรงพิเศษได้อย่างน่าสนใจมาโดยตลอด Maillon de Cartier แสนสวยรุ่นนี้ก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งผลงานชั้นครูดังกล่าว จุดเด่นของ Maillon อยู่ที่สายนาฬิกาซึ่งมีข้อลักษณะคล้ายห่วงโซ่ที่เรียงรายกันจนดูราวกับเป็นกำไลถัก ไม่เพียงเท่านั้น หน้าปัดนาฬิกายังมีรูปทรงหกเหลี่ยมดูแปลกตาและยังเอียงไปในทิศทางเดียวกันกับข้อสายอีกด้วย เรื่องเครื่องนั้นไม่ต้องเดาเลยเพราะว่าเป็นเครื่องควอตซ์แน่นอนเนื่องจากตัวเรือนมีขนาดเล็กเพียงแค่ 16 x 17 มม. เท่านั้น นาฬิกา Maillon de Cartier ผลิตด้วยทองเท่านั้น โดยมีทั้งเยลโลว์โกลด์ พิงค์โกลด์และไวท์โกลด์ แล้วยังมีอีกสามรุ่นที่เป็นวัสดุทองสามสีนี้แต่มีการประดับเพชรเต็มพื้นผิวที่หันขึ้นด้านบนทั้งหมด น่าเสียดายที่ปีนี้ไม่ได้เป็นการจัดงาน Watches & Wonders แบบปกติ ไม่อย่างนั้นเราคงได้พิสูจน์ด้วยตนเองแล้วว่าสายนาฬิกาของ Maillon นั้นโอบรับกับข้อมือได้ดีมากน้อยเพียงใด
You can trust Cartier to design interesting form watches that make a statement. This ultra-feminine Maillon de Cartier takes things one step further. Its most unusual bracelet design sees geometric chain links arranged in such a way that they look like a braided bangle in gold. That angularity is echoed by the hexagonal dial which follows in the same plane of alignment. The movement is without a doubt a quartz one inside the petite 16 x 17 mm case. Maillon de Cartier is offered exclusively in yellow gold, pink gold or white gold, plus three more references in the same metals but with diamonds on upward-facing surfaces. We wish this was a regular year so we could see in person how well the bracelet flows around the wrist … maybe later.
