ถือว่าเป็นโชคดีของนักเขียนคนนี้ที่เคยไปทำงานที่เลอบราซูส์หลายครั้งในช่วงทศวรรษที่ผ่านมา และมีครั้งหนึ่งต้องไปถ่ายฟุตเทจบรรยากาศของธรรมชาติโดยรอบโรงงานของ Blancpain ด้วย ดังนั้นเมื่อ Blancpain ออกนาฬิกา Villeret รุ่นใหม่แล้วเขียนคำบรรยายว่าหน้าปัดนั้นเป็น “สีเขียวเข้มเหมือนกับต้นสนแห่งหุบเขาวัลเลเดอชูซ์” จึงอ่านแล้วเข้าใจได้แบบเห็นภาพทันที

Having been blessed with multiple work trips to Le Brassus over the past decade, including one that involved filming the natural surroundings of the Blancpain manufacture, this writer can vividly understand the phrase “the deep green shade of Vallée de Joux fir trees” used in Blancpain’s latest press release to describe the dial colour of their new Villeret watch models.
The four red gold Villeret timepieces released in homage to the landscapes surrounding the Blancpain manufacture in Le Brassus are the 40 mm Extraplate (an ultra-thin model with time and date), the 40 mm Quantième Complet (a complete calendar model for men), the 44.6 mm Tourbillon Carrousel (featuring both types of regulators in one watch), and the Quantième Phases de Lune, which is the focus of this article.
Measuring a delicate 33.2 mm in diameter, the Blancpain Villeret Quantième Phases de Lune is a quintessential calendar and moon phase watch. It features a date hand that traces a path around the concentric date scale from 1 to 31, with a moon phase window symmetrically positioned just above 6 o’clock. The Calibre 913QL.P is remarkably slim at 4.65 mm, allowing the case to maintain an overall thickness of just 10.2 mm. Its fully guilloché rotor, crafted in gold for optimal winding efficiency, builds up a 40-hour power reserve.
Four Roman numerals mark the cardinal positions on the sunburst green dial, directly inspired by the shade of the fir trees in the hills around the isolated valley in which Le Brassus is located. The remaining hour positions are marked by brilliant-cut diamonds, while more adorn the bezel, lending a sense of luxurious refinement to this timepiece.
Worn on an alligator leather strap in a tone matching the dial, this new model is likely to resonate with discerning female collectors familiar with traditional complications, as well as those seeking to add a unique chromatic element to their growing watch collections.
