Blancpain เป็นแบรนด์ที่จัดอีเวนท์ในประเทศไทยไม่บ่อยนัก และเวลาจัดครั้งใดก็มักจะมีรอบลูกค้าและรอบสื่อแยกกัน แต่ครั้งนี้ถือเป็นความแปลกที่ Blancpain เชิญให้แขกผู้มีเกียรติทุกท่านไปร่วมงานพร้อมกันช่วงหัวค่ำวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 25 กรกฎาคมที่ The St. Regis Bar บนชั้น 12 ของโรงแรม The St. Regis Bangkok และทันทีที่ดวงอาทิตย์ลับขอบฟ้า บรรยากาศก็เริ่มเปลี่ยนเข้าสู่ปาร์ตี้เลเซอร์สีน้ำเงินและสีเขียวอย่างเต็มรูปแบบเพื่อการเปิดตัวนาฬิการุ่นสำคัญของ Blancpain ในปีนี้
ไฮไลท์ของค่ำคืนดังกล่าวคือ Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune เวอร์ชั่นใหม่ เดิมทีนั้น Blancpain ผลิตนาฬิกา Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe เป็นครั้งแรกในปี ค.ศ. 1956 เพื่อเป็นทางเลือกที่มีขนาดเล็กกว่า Fifty Fathoms รุ่นออริจินอลและใส่ในบริบทของชีวิตประจำวันได้สะดวกขึ้น และตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 2013 เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 60 ปีของคอลเลคชั่น Fifty Fathoms เราก็ได้เห็นการที่ Blancpain ใช้ Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe ในการนำเสนอนาฬิกาดำน้ำระดับตำนานด้วยวัสดุที่หลากหลายชนิด และก็มักจะมีคอมพลิเคชั่นต่างๆ ร่วมด้วย
สำหรับปี ค.ศ. 2024 นี้ แบรนด์นาฬิกาเก่าแก่จากเมืองเลอบราซูส์เลือกนำเสนอ Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune เวอร์ชั่นใหม่ที่มีฟังก์ชั่นตามชื่อรุ่นเหมือนเดิม คือ คอมพลีทคาเลนดาร์และมูนเฟส นาฬิการุ่นนี้มีตัวเรือนขนาด 43.6 มม. เดิมทีมีเวอร์ชั่นสเตนเลสสตีลหน้าปัดสีดำ เวอร์ชั่นไทเทเนียมหน้าปัดสีเทา และเวอร์ชั่นเร้ดโกลด์หน้าปัดสีน้ำเงิน แล้วในวันนี้จึงมีเวอร์ชั่นเซรามิกสีดำที่ตั้งใจให้สวมใส่ด้วยสายเซรามิกสีดำ สายนาโต้หรือสายเซลโคลธ พื้นผิวโดยรวมของตัวเรือนและสายได้รับการขัดแบบซาตินจนเห็นลายเส้นละเอียดสวยงาม ตัดกับวงแหวนเซรามิกแบบขัดเงาของขอบตัวเรือนแบบหมุนทิศทางเดียวเพื่อใช้จับเวลาในการดำน้ำ

It is not very often that Blancpain stages a single-session event in Thailand where customers and members of the press get to mingle. But for the evening of Thursday 25 July, lovers of the brand from both sides of the playing field converged at The St. Regis Bar on the 12th of The St. Regis Bangkok. The location overlooked the capital’s skyline, before darkness set in and the bar was flooded with blue and green laser for the unveiling of the novelties.
The highlight of the evening was the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune. Historically, the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe was introduced in 1956 as a smaller diameter alternative to the original Fifty Fathoms – it was intended blend in more naturally with daily environments out of the water. And since the 60th anniversary of the Fifty Fathoms in 2013, the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe line has provided Blancpain with the platform to offer their legendary dive watches in an array of materials, and often with a complication as well.
For 2024, the watchmaker from Le Brassus is proposing new versions of the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune watch – the model name translates directly to “complete calendar and moon phase”. Following the success of its predecessors in stainless steel with a black dial, in titanium with a grey dial and in red gold with a blue dial, the 43.6 mm case of this latest version is crafted from black ceramic that is meant to be worn on either a matching black ceramic bracelet, a NATO strap or a sailcloth strap. The satinated surface of the case (and the bracelet, if that is your choice) is contrasted by the polished ceramic insert of the unidirectional rotating bezel.
The Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune in black ceramic comes with three color choices for the sunray-brushed and gradient dial: blue, green and black, but only the first two were shown at the launch party. Their precise indication of time and the calendar is ensured by the self-winding Caliber 6654.P with 321 components. Its rotor is made of gold whose heavier weight enhances winding efficiency, but coated in in order to be consistent with the overall look of this sophisticated tool watch. The power reserve is a more than ample 72 hours. Check with the Blancpain retailer nearest you for availability and to see how soon you can try the watch on in person.
