Razer, better known for electronic products targeted at the gaming community, have released pair of smart glasses which feature innovative features which will benefit not just gamers, but anyone who spends an unhealthy amount of time in front of a screen. This innovative gadget is perfect for the work-from-home generation.
“The Razer Anzu modernizes the wearable category in terms of convenience and blue light or UV protection,” noted John Moore Razer’s Head of Sales and Marketing. “With Anzu, Razer is entering the market at a time when there is a surge of people working from home – where eye protection, hands-free communication and smart features are now in high demand.”
The Razer Anzu comes standard with lenses that filter out 35% of harmful blue light emitted by digital devices, reducing eye fatigue and helping to prevent damage in the long run. The lenses can also be swapped out for polarised sunglasses lenses which protect our eyes from 99% of UVA and UVB rays. If you require prescription lenses, Razer is offering 15% off lenses from Lensabl if you purchase the Razer Anzu.
Razer says Anzu’s customised Bluetooth 5.1 connection cuts latency down to a mere 60 milliseconds, providing the user with smooth audio. It should also be noted that the Razer Anzu uses an open ear design, allowing for a multi-directional listening experience. This is paired with an omnidirectional microphone and an intuitive touch interface on the side of the Anzu’s frame, giving the user control over their music players, calls and smartphone voice assistants.
The smart glasses have a water-resistance rating of IPX4 which means it will handle small amounts of moisture from workouts and light rain. It will last for more than five hours on a single charge, and automatically shut off when the frame is folded, achieving up to two weeks of standby power. Upon opening up again it automatically pairs with the last device making it extremely convenient for daily use. Weighing less than 48 grams and available in two sizes with either rectangular or round frames, the Razor Anzu comes with a leatherette carrying case to store the USB-A charging cable, extra lenses and cleaning cloth.
