ผลิตภัณฑ์ดังกล่าวเป็นของบริษัท Casetify จากฮ่องกงซึ่งมีสำนักงานอยู่ในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาด้วยที่เมืองลอสแองเจลิส ธุรกิจหลักคือการผลิตแอคเซสซอรี่ต่างๆ สำหรับโทรศัพท์และอุปกรณ์ไอที สำหรับเครื่องที่มีชื่อเรียกว่า UV Sanitizer นี้มีลักษณะเหมือนกล่องที่คุณสามารถเอาโทรศัพท์มือถือหรือของอื่นที่มีขนาดไม่ใหญ่ใส่ลงไปได้ เมื่อปิดฝาแล้วหลอดยูวีซีจำนวน 6 หลอดภายในจะผลัดกันทำหน้าที่ฉายไปบนสิ่งของของคุณ

ในช่วงนี้ Casetify รายได้ทั้งหมดจากการจำหน่ายมอบให้กองทุน Coronavirus Relief Fund ของ GlobalGiving เพื่อช่วยค่าใช้จ่ายในการจัดส่งบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ เวชภัณฑ์และอาหารให้กับชุมชนที่ได้รับความเดือดร้อน การสั่งซื้อต้องสั่งจากเว็บของผู้ผลิตโดยตรงและคิวเวลานี้ยาวไปถึงปลายเดือนเมษายน

You know how to clean your hands. But what about the other things you use on a daily basis?

We presented earlier this week an article on the origin of alcohol-based handrubs that we use without giving much thought. A question arose afterwards among our editorial members: how do we clean our mobile phone? We handle and operate the device the whole day while our hands are clean and not. We should find a way to safely clean it as well.
Upon reading this exchange, our Chief Digital Officer sent us as link to Casetify’s UV Sanitizer which claims to kill 99.9% of the germs on a mobile phone within three minutes. The product looks like a box you can place your phone and other small objects inside. Once the lid is closed, six UV-C lamps will take turn to do the necessary job of disabling microorganisms on it.
UV-C light is a short-wavelength ultraviolet light that destroys nucleic acids in microorganisms and disrupts their DNA, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions. Although there is no study presently to confirm that the device is capable of killing specifically coronavirus, a germ-free phone is better than one which is not.
To clean the inner compartment of the Casetify UV Sanitizer itself, simply leave it empty and activate the device for three minutes. Casetify is a Hong Kong-based company with offices in Los Angeles. Their main business is the production of accessories for mobile phones and IT gadgets. During this time, the entire proceeds from the sale of this product will be donated to the Coronavirus Relief Fund of GlobalGiving which will help send medical personnel, supplies and food to communities in need.
