Be@rbrick เป็นตุ๊กตาหมีของเล่นอันโด่งดังที่ออกแบบและผลิตเป็นครั้งแรกเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2001 โดย Medicom Toy Incorporation บริษัทของเล่นยักษ์ใหญ่ของญี่ปุ่น เพื่อเป็นการฉลองครบรอบ 100 ปีของการถือกำเนิดตุ๊กตาหมีเท็ดดี้แบร์ด้วยคอนเซปท์การเป็นตุ๊กตาหมีเท็ดดี้แบร์แบบดิจิตอล และมีการกำหนดว่าจะต้องประกอบไปด้วยชิ้นส่วนเพียง 9 ชิ้นเท่านั้น ได้แก่ หัว แขน ข้อมือ ลำตัว สะโพกและขา หากจะมีการผลิตในเวอร์ชั่นต่างๆ จะต้องไม่มีการเพิ่มชิ้นส่วนอื่นนอกเหนือจากส่วนประกอบดั้งเดิมทั้ง 9 ชิ้นนี้ ขนาดมาตรฐานของตุ๊กตาอยู่ที่ความสูง 7 เซนติเมตร (เรียกว่าขนาด 100%) นับจากนั้น Medicom Toy ก็ทำงานร่วมงานกับศิลปินมากมายในการออก Be@rbrick ในรูปแบบและขนาดต่างๆ จนกลายเป็นอาร์ตทอยที่เป็นที่ต้องการของนักสะสมอย่างในทุกวันนี้

Be@rbrick was first introduced to the world in 2001 by the Japanese toy firm Medicom Toy Incorporation. It marked the 100th anniversary of teddy bear by presenting itself as the digital version of the world beloved doll. Design dictates that a Be@rbrick must be composed of only nine parts: the head, the arms, the hands, the torso, the hip and the legs. The architecture is to be maintained, despite any variation in aesthetic look. Its standard size is 7 centimeters, hence, the 100% denomination. Countless versions of the Be@rbrick in different sizes have since been introduced by Medicom Toy in collaboration global artists, making it the highly collectible art toy that it is today.
For this latest product, the Be@rbrick Audio 400% portable Bluetooth speaker, Medicom Toy is working with Ukrainian sound engineer company Rinaro Isodynamics which has been a technological innovator in this field since 1985. Standing 28 centimetres tall and incorporating more than 214 newly designed parts, this speaker is a result of over 20,000 hours of engineering time. It is built with the QUAD’360 omnidirectional sound technology developed exclusively for this project by Rinaro. Two tweeters are built into the ears of the bear, while two woofers are set in the back of its head. Together, they work to create a powerful, high definition 360 degrees sound field.
The Be@rbrick Audio 400% speaker is operated by Bluetooth. With a simple push of a button, it can be connected to an iOS and Android phone with ease. More tangible controls were incorporated by Medicom Toy, though. Notably, the volume can be adjusted by twisting the left hand of the doll. Doing the same to its right hand serves track selection purposes. Customers can connect two of these speakers together for a full stereo pairing that delivers an even more immersive listening experience.
The battery on this Be@rbrick speaker will last six hours, depending on the playback volume and the quality of the music files. It is charged over a period of 1.5 hours via a USB-C port, and can be replaced in the future to maximize the service life of the speaker itself. The Be@rbrick Audio 400% speaker is available with either a clear skin or a smoked skin which offers visibility into the electronics inside. The third option, the opaque black skin, hardly reveals its true functionality, until you peer at the telltale honeycomb covering on the ears.
