Van Cleef & Arpels Presents Another Legendary Collection, Treasure of Rubies.

Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but rubies are what drives the hearts of people from all over the world. It’s a little known fact that rubies are much harder to find than diamonds, and one of the people who have fallen for this rare stone is Jacques Arpels, of Van Cleef & Arpels. The legendary Arpels family would travel to India and the Far East numerous times from the 1950s – 1970s in search of the ‘King of Gems’ to complete their iconic works.
After creating the Emeraude en Majesté collection, completely dedicated to emeralds in 2016, Van Cleef & Arpels returns this year with The Treasures of Rubies. This high jewellery collection consists of 60 pieces, with highlights like the Rubis Flamboyant necklace that features over 25 carats of rubies, with a matching diamond ring whose centre stone can be removed and attached onto the necklace. Equally stunning is the Rubis Imperial necklace that features hundreds of ruby beads with a total weight of 1,066 carats.
