Cartier’s Celebrates its First Party of the Year with Precious Garage.

If there’s any phrase that describes the collections Juste Un Clou and Ecrou de Cartier it would easily be “when the ordinary becomes precious”. After all, who would have imagined that mundane objects like construction materials would become so coveted and precious? The famous nails and bolt-style jewellery items have not only gained attention, but have become some of Cartier’s most popular pieces.
To highlight these two collections, Cartier presented their Precious Garage, a show that was equal parts product launch, exclusive party and exhibition. After being shown to an invitation only group at the launch , Precious Garage will be on public display at Siam Paragon from 1-10 February for 10 days only.
One of the highlights of Precious Garage was a Golden Corvette designed by Puerto Rican visual artist Desi Santiago. The car was displayed against two walls, one of gold that featured Corvette parts and the second in white, adorned with a mechanic’s tools, reflecting the elevation of the ordinary. Just like the nails, nuts and bolts that became iconic to Cartier. In addition to the featured art work, the Juste Un Clou and Ecrou de Cartier collections were also exhibited.

ถ้าจะมีวลีใดที่บ่งบอกถึงคอลเลกชั่น Juste Un Clou และ Ecrou de Cartier ได้ดีที่สุด ก็คงเป็นวลีที่ว่า “when the ordinary becomes precious” นี่แหละ เพราะใครจะคิดล่ะว่าวัสดุที่เราเห็นในชีวิตประจำวันธรรมดาที่เป็นวัสดุก่อสร้างด้วยซ้ำอย่างตะปูจะกลายมาเป็นเครื่องประดับได้ แถมยังได้รับความนิยมอย่างมากอีกด้วย
และเมื่อจะนำเสนอผลงานใหม่ของสองคอลเลกชั่นนี้ ทางคาร์เทียร์จึงได้หยิบวลีดังกล่าวมาเป็นคอนเซ็ปต์สำหรับงาน Precious Garage ที่ผสมผสานการเปิดตัวผลิตภัณฑ์เข้ากับปาร์ตี้และนิทรรศการสุดพิเศษ ซึ่งหลังจากเปิดตัวไปอย่างเอ็กซ์คลูซีฟเมื่อไม่นานมานี้ Precious Garage ก็ถูกยกมาจัดแสดงให้ผู้ที่สนใจได้ชมกันที่สยามพารากอน ระหว่างวันที่ 1-10 กุมภาพันธ์ เป็นเวลา 10 วันเท่านั้น ก่อนที่จะเดินทางต่อไปจัดแสดงที่อื่นต่อไป
Precious Garage ประกอบด้วยงานอินสตอลเลชั่นรถสปอร์ต Corvette สีทองอร่ามคันเดียวในโลกที่ออกแบบโดยเดซี่ ซานติเอโก ศิลปินชาวเปอโตริโก้ รถคันนี้จัดแสดงไว้ใกล้ๆกับกำแพงสีทองที่ประดับด้วยชิ้นส่วนของรถ Corvette คันนี้ และเครื่องมือช่างมากมาย ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงความธรรมดาแต่ไม่ธรรมดาของตะปูที่กลายมาเป็นต้นกำเนิดของคอลเลกชั่นระดับไอคอนนั่นเอง นอกจากผลงานชิ้นนี้แล้ว แน่นอนว่าคอลเลกชั่น Juste Un Clou และ Ecrou de Cartier ยังถูกนำมาจัดแสดงร่วมกันด้วยเช่นกัน
