Bringing the charm of haute horlogerie beyond the confines of the watchmaking industry, Franck Muller teams up with one of the world’s major sports footwear and apparel manufacturers, New Balance, for two futuristic and fashion-forward sneakers. Based on the contemporary everyday kick 996 silhouette, this collaboration combines signature New Balance design details with distinct Franck Muller craftsmanship.
Available in two metallic colorways, the all new 996 sneakers are inspired by classic watch symbols, with an abundance of silver and gold – emphasizing the importance of metal in the world of watchmaking. Much like conventional watch dials, each sneaker features oversized cursive numerals embossed into metallic leather sections of the upper, alongside a matching, multi-coloured insole print.
Characterised by leather, faux-croc skin textures with an array of signature “N” logos, the sneaker collaboration dubbed “Creating Time for Me”, kicks off with a short-film by the same name – showcasing 12 unique artists in a collage of the special moments they cherish. Worth approximately USD 210, the limited edition Franck Muller x New Balance 996 comes complete with a special tote bag, when purchased from select Japanese New Balance stockists.
