The 2024 Plein Soleil collection embodies the Céline style.

The warm atmosphere and sunny beaches of the French Riviera have created beautiful memories for many. Hedi Slimane, the creative director of storied French maison Céline, is one of them. Inspired by the charm of the French coastline and the glamour and luxury of the Paris neighborhood of St. Germain des Prés, his latest capsule collection, Plein Soleil 2024, offers ready-to-wear, accessories and lifestyle items finely crafted from textiles, leather and rattan and featuring the maison’s Triomphe emblem in a showcase of artisanal craftsmanship.
The collection’s key pieces include a suede patina jacket, cotton cardigans and an off-white handmade crochet ensemble – easy and versatile items that will see a stylish lady through any vacation or weekend trip. Adding an extra spark to the collection are decorative floral motifs and all-over sequin flower embroidery on tulle. From denim bell bottom to leopard-print bikini, from black-and-white striped babydoll dress to gladiator sandals – classic pieces, silhouettes, prints and color schemes are given the space to shine. Accessories with the Triomphe emblem also command the spotlight, including shawls, sunglasses and beach-ready tote bags.
New variations of the Céline Panier raffia bag make their Plein Soleil debut, and a range of other accessories – sandals, espadrilles, and straw hats crafted by master artisans using the maison’s knowhow – complement the summer silhouette and rounds out the collection.
The capsule collection is enhanced by Céline Maison Art de Vivre pieces conveying the scope of the Céline lifestyle, including a signature deckchair, hammock, pillows and pétanque set. In addition to designing the collection, Hedi Slimane also photographed the Plein Soleil 2024 campaign, set against the backdrop of the Amalfi Coast in Sorrento, Italy.
