We did a survey of recent examples that can be quickly identified as being linked with a particular movie.

To celebrate the superhero-epic Avengers: Endgame’s release, Adidas collaborated with Marvel to design a new basketball sneaker collection. Its highlight is the integration of signature elements of Marvel’s superheroes into Adidas’ sneakers of NBA players. Included in this collection are the Iron Man-style Harden Vol.3, the Black Panther-inspired Dame 5 and the Captain Marvel-themed Pro Vision. Last year, American menswear designer John Vaarvatos collaborated with HBO to create Game of Thrones capsule collection to coincide with the series’ final season. The most outstanding item is the Winterfell leather jacket which looks like that of Jamie Lannister. In addition, there are t-shirts, bags and trousers that give a sense of medieval aesthetic, simplicity and strength. You can tell right away that the users of these products are Westrosians.

They are made by Los Angeles-based eyewear brand Barton Perreira. The exact model featured in the film is called Joe.

Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue worked with Lucasfilm to launch a Star Wars-themed luxury furniture collection.
