That Maserati Quattroporte is what a Beast of Speed and Luxury Looks Like

When it comes to engines and speed, the Maserati Quattroporte is one of the most powerful in the world. Having first debut in 1963, it was an outlier that marked a new era for 4-door Italian cars. While using the same engine as those found on the racetrack, the car was built with luxury in mind. It was even chosen by the Italian President to be his official car. At present, the Maserati Quattroporte is in its 6th generation.
Today’s Maserati Quattroporte focuses on an eye-catching sleek design with something of a menacing look. Strong and elegant, the car features LED Adaptive Matrix headlights that gives it a more handsome and sharpened profile. The weight of the fuel tank was further reduced using aluminium and magnesium. Furthermore, the car features Maserati’s distinctive Frameless Doors on all 4-doors, which gives the illusion of a coupe despite it being a 4-door car. Perfect 50/50 engineered weight distribution makes it an ideal supercar.
The Maserati Quattroporte is one of the word’s fastest luxury sedans, with a top speed of 310 km/hr. There are two engine types, with Diesel Turbo or Petrol Twin Turbo. The Petrol V6 cylinder twin turbo and V8 cylinder twin turbo is assembled in Maranello, in the same factory as Ferrari. Along with the Ferrari Guarantee, the power transmission via the ZF 8-speed Automatic features modes like Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Manual Normal, Manual Sport and I.C.E. (used on frozen roads). Each of these modes can be easily controlled by the driver by a lever that also helps to conserve fuel.
Of course, another selling point is the ‘Maserati Active Sound’, the roaring sound that every gentleman looks for when he starts the Maserati. This is installed in both Diesel and Petrol models and works just as one presses the ‘sport’ button. The sound sends a command to the exhaust pipe valve for a loud rumble that can be heard down the streets.
The cabin is a combination of premium looks are sportiness, with a bit of an Italian Mafia Style. With the choice of premium leathers, wood inlay and carbon fibre, it’s not hard to imagine this car belonging to Michael Corleone from the Godfather. The carbon fibre helps to reduce the car’s weight, and is a popular option with racing vehicles.
It should also be mentioned that Maserati is the only car brand to collaborate with legendary fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna, whose team created an exquisite interior for the cabin. The team used craftsmanship and materials like Zegna Silk, that is recognised by the fashion industry as one of the most luxurious materials. There are two stylings to choose from, GranLusso (luxury) and GranSport (sport), according to your personal taste.
