เทศกาลภาพยนต์นานาชาติเมืองคานส์ หรือ Cannes International Film Festival ที่ประเทศฝรั่งเศส กำลังจะเริ่มขึ้นในวันที่ 14 พ.ค. นี้แล้ว เรามักจะเห็นภาพดาราและเซเลบริตี้มากมาย ทั้งบนพรมแดงและในที่อื่นๆ สถานที่หนึ่งที่เรามักจะเห็นตามภาพข่าวก็คือโรงแรม Hôtel Martinez ที่มีอาคารสไตล์อาร์ทเดโคสีขาวตั้งตระหง่านอยู่หน้าหาดของเมืองคานส์ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในเมืองตากอากาศที่มีชื่อเสียงในแถบโกตดาซูร์ หรือ เฟรนช์ริเวียร่า ชายฝั่งทะเลตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ของประเทศฝรั่งเศส

We take you to Hôtel Martinez, a regular haunt for celebrities during the Cannes International Film Festival.

The prestigious Cannes International Film Festival in France will commence on May 14th. We are bound to see some of the world’s top artists and celebrities, both on the red carpet and around the seaside town. One of the spots where you are sure to find big names is Hôtel Martinez. With its white art deco style, the hotel stands out over the beachfront of Cannes, one of the most famous resort towns on the Côte d’Azur, also known as the French Riviera in the southeastern coast of the country.
The hotel features a magnificent spiral staircase, that has become an iconic backdrop to celebrities posing for photos. One to note, of course is Chompoo Araya of Thailand, who has often walked down those same steps in various Haute Couture gowns to a waiting crowd of media and photographers. Aside from the much-photographed staircase, the hotel is home to many other beautiful corners and facilities. Here is a small peak into some of the other notable spots of this historic location.
Situated on Promenade de la Croisette, Hôtel Martinez is positioned near the Palais des Festivals, where the Cannes International Film Festival takes place. The hotel was built in the late 1920s and was recently renovated last year by French interior design firm Pierre-Yves Rochon, who are renowned for their work on luxury hotels and famous restaurants. The designers were inspired by shades of the Mediterranean Sea, with warm and relaxed tones of blues, whites, and pale yellow.
With a total of 409 rooms and suites, Hôtel Martinez is the largest hotel in Cannes. The top floor features a 1,000 square metre penthouse suite with a spacious balcony where one can appreciate the full beauty of Cannes coastline. It’s of no surprise that Chopard chose this penthouse suite to host events for their high jewelry collections during the film festival.
If you do choose to stay in this hotel for your trip to Cannes, you’ll be able to soak up the sea view of the French Riviera right from your balcony. To complete the Mediterranean experience, visit Restaurant La Palme d’Or, the only 2-Michelin star restaurant in Cannes.
