อย่างไรก็ดี การเดินทางจากประเทศไทยไปเกาะส่วนตัวทั้งสองแห่งนี้ก็ไม่ใช่เรื่องง่าย เพราะจะต้องต่อเครื่องบินกันหลายครั้ง เช่น ถ้าไป Gladden Private Island ก็ต้องไปลงที่สหรัฐอเมริกาก่อน หรือถ้าไป Six Senses Zil Pasyon ก็น่าจะต้องไปเปลี่ยนเครื่องที่ศรีลังกา แต่ถ้าคุณมีเวลาเหลือๆ และมีงบประมาณไม่จำกัด ทั้งสองที่พักสุดไฮโซนี้ก็คงจะเป็นประสบการณ์การเดินทางที่ใครๆ ก็ต้องอิจฉาคุณเป็นแน่แท้

Most media titles have extensively covered the pandemic and how it will change the future of traveling. Let us then skip right to the part where we can find some of the most private and socially distanced destinations in the world. We look at Gladden Private Island in Belize and Six Senses Zil Pasyon in the Seychelles.
Gladden Private Island bills itself as “The Most Private Island in the World”, and that claim seems indisputable. Located about 40 kilometres off the shore, the island literally sits in the middle of nowhere on the brink of a large barrier reef. On this secluded property, a luxurious villa accommodates just one couple or family, and that is it – no other guest whatsoever – only you and up to three other people you choose to share the experience with.
There is even no permanent presence of staff on the island. But the catering, concierge and 24/7 butler service you require can come on demand in two minutes from the small service island hidden from view at the back. There is also an extra room on that service island in case you are traveling with a nanny or a security person.
Naturally, the stay will have to be of the all-inclusive arrangement with all gourmet meals and curated wines included in the price (USD 2,950 per night for two people or USD 3,550 per night for four people, plus 9% tax). Also available and included are spa treatments, snorkelling, scuba diving and the necessary boat transfers from and to Belize City. If you book a 7-day stay, the owner will even throw in a 35-minute helicopter transfer over the barrier reef from Belize City to Gladden so you can also enjoy the view from the top.
Geographically closer to Thailand, Six Senses Zil Pasyon is located on Felicité Island of the Seychelles, the fifth largest island of the group, about 55 kilometres northeast of Mahé International Airport. The property is accessibly by a scenic 20-minute helicopter flight or a one-hour boat trip.
This much larger property occupies one third of the total land on the island. As a full-fledged resort, it comprises 30 spacious pool villas and two phenomenal residences in between dramatic granite boulders. But as a property, the entire place can be booked for your group, making it ideal for a reunion of friends from different continents of the world.
This exclusive island experience away from everyday reality can be had for the price of EUR 330,000 (before tax and service charge) for a one-week stay by 20 guests. Additional nights or guests can be accommodated at an extra charge. Assign guests to specific villas or residences prior to or upon arrival as you wish because there will be no other parties on the island anyway.
Your group will have full access to resort facilities, and specially created daily menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Once a week, guests can also partake in blue water fishing, guided snorkelling at Koko Island Sanctuary, a sunset cruise, sunset champagne and rose wine tasting, and the Eat with Six Senses chef’s table.
Both destinations are not quickly reached from Thailand as each leg of the trip will inevitably involve stopovers (the United States in the case of Gladden Private Island, and perhaps Sri Lanka in the case of Six Senses Zil Pasyon). But if you have the time and resources to afford in this kind of quiet luxury, there is no reason not to indulge, for the sake of experience.
