Korean Air จัดเครื่อง Boeing 787-10 ที่ใหม่และใหญ่ที่สุดลงเส้นทางโซลอินชอน – กรุงเทพ

Korean Air เพิ่งได้รับ Boeing 787-10 ลำแรกมาและจะเริ่มใช้อย่างเป็นทางการในเส้นทางโซลอินชอน – กรุงเทพเพื่อรองรับจำนวนนักธุรกิจชาวเกาหลีที่เดินทางมายังประเทศไทยเพิ่มมากขึ้นจากการที่มีบริษัทสัญชาติเกาหลีต่างๆ มาลงทุนและประกอบธุรกิจในประเทศไทยมากกว่าเดิม ตลอดจนให้บริการนักท่องเที่ยวจากทั้งเกาหลีมาไทยและจากไทยไปเกาหลี สอดคล้องกับข้อมูลจากหน่วยงานกำกับด้านการท่องเที่ยวของทั้งสองประเทศที่ชี้ไปในทิศทางเดียวกัน กล่าวคือ ปีที่แล้วมีนักท่องเที่ยวเกาหลีมาเยือนไทยจำนวน 1.65 ล้านคนซึ่งถือเป็นประเทศที่มีผู้คนเดินทางมายังประเทศไทยมากที่สุดเป็นอันดับที่ 3 ในขณะที่นักท่องเที่ยวไทยนั้นเป็นอันดับที่ 8 ของเกาหลีใต้โดยในช่วง 4 เดือนแรกของปีนี้มีคนไทยไปเที่ยวเกาหลีแล้ว 119,455 คน
ปัจจุบัน Korean Air มีไฟลท์ในเส้นทางโซลอินชอน – กรุงเทพ จำนวนวันละ 4 ไฟลท์หรือสัปดาห์ละ 28 ไฟลท์ และตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 สิงหาคมนี้เป็นต้นไป Korean Air จะนำเครื่อง B787-10 ลำใหม่นี้มาใช้บินสัปดาห์ละ 6 ไฟลท์ ก่อนที่จะเพิ่มเป็น 12 ไฟลท์ในวันที่ 8 สิงหาคมเป็นต้นไป
Boeing 787 หรือที่มีชื่อเล่นอย่างเป็นทางการว่า Dreamliner นั้นเป็นเครื่องบินโดยสารที่สายการบินต่างๆ ทั่วโลกนิยมใช้เนื่องจากมีพัฒนาการต่างๆ ที่ช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพได้เป็นอย่างดี รุ่นพื้นฐานเรียกว่า B787-8 และมีรุ่นลำตัวยาวเรียกว่า B787-9 ตามด้วยรุ่นลำตัวยาวพิเศษเรียกว่า B787-10 เพื่อตอบโจทย์ความต้องการของสายการบินที่มีผู้โดยสารเป็นจำนวนมาก
สำหรับ B787-10 ลำใหม่ของ Korean Air นี้มีที่นั่งชั้นประหยัดจำนวน 289 ที่นั่ง ระยะระหว่างขอบหลังของเบาะที่นั่งสองแถวอยู่ที่ 32 นิ้วโดยที่ตัวเบาะเองนั้นมีขนาดกว้าง 17.2 นิ้วและมีหน้าจอขนาด 13.3 นิ้ว สำหรับชั้นธุรกิจหรือที่ Korean Air เรียกว่าชั้นเพรสทีจนั้นมีการจัดวางที่นั่งในรูปแบบ 1-2-1 เพื่อให้ผู้โดยสารทั้ง 36 ท่านสามารถลุกออกมายังทางเดินได้โดยอิสระ ทั้งนี้ B787-10 ลำนี้ยังเป็นอากาศยานลำแรกของ Korean Air ที่ได้ใช้ที่นั่งรุ่น Prestige Suites 2.0 ซึ่งปรับนอนราบได้ มีระยะระหว่างของบหลังของเบาะที่นั่งสองแถวอยู่ที่ 46 นิ้วโดยที่ตัวเบาะเองนั้นมีขนาดกว้าง 21 นิ้ว หน้าจอเป็นแบบความละเอียดระดับ 4K และใหญ่ถึง 23.8 นิ้ว พร้อมด้วยสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกอื่นๆ อาทิ แท่นชาร์จแบบไร้สายและช่องเสียบชาร์จไฟแบบ USB-C กำลังไฟสูง 60 วัตต์

Korean Air has just received their very first Boeing 787-10 aircraft, and it will be deployed on the Seoul Incheon-Bangkok route to accommodate increased business travel demand as more Korean companies invest and operate in Thailand. Data provided by the tourism authority of both countries points in the same direction of significance. South Koreans were the third largest group of visitors to Thailand last year at 1.65 million arrivals. Meanwhile, Thai travelers rank as the eight largest group of visitors to South Korea with as many as 119,455 arrivals in the first four months of this year.
Currently, Korean Air has four flights daily or 28 flights weekly on the Seoul Incheon – Bangkok route. Beginning from 1 August, six of these weekly flights will be operated by this newest widebody aircraft. And by 8 August, the number of Korean Air B787-10 flights on this route will increase to 12 out of the 28 weekly flights.
Famously referred to as the Dreamliner, Boeing 787 is the latest generation passenger airliner that is adopted by carriers around the world for its enhanced efficiency. In addition to the standard B787-8, Boeing produces the stretch version of B787-9 and the further stretched version of B787-10 for airlines that require additional capacity.
In the case of Korean Air, their B787-10 has 289 economy class seats with seat pitch of 32 inches, seat width of 17.2 inches. The monitor screen is 13.3 inches in size. The business class section, referred to as the Prestige Class in Korean Air terminology, has seats in the 1-2-1 configuration that ensures aisle access to all 36 passengers. This B787-10 is the first aircraft to feature the new Prestige Suites 2.0 lie-flat seats with a pitch of 46 inches and width of 21 inches. A large 23.8-inch 4K monitor is at the passengers’ disposal, as well as a wireless charging pad and powerful 60W USB-C charging ports.
Having served South Koreans and citizens of the world for more than 55 years, Korean Air currently serves 110 destinations in 39 countries across the globe with their fleet of 159 aircrafts.
