ปกติเราไม่ค่อยเขียนบทความเกี่ยวกับรีสอร์ทที่เรายังไม่เคยไปเยือน แต่ครั้งนี้ต้องขอนอกกรอบเป็นกรณีพิเศษเพราะว่าเป็นรีสอร์ทที่เพิ่งจะเปิดใหม่พร้อมภาพสวยจับใจจริงๆ และเราคงจะต้องฝากคุณผู้อ่านไปเที่ยวเผื่อก่อนเราแล้ว Kimpton Kitalay Samui เป็นรีสอร์ทในแบรนด์ Kimpton แห่งแรกในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ชื่อ Kitalay นั้นมาจากคำว่า “คีตะ” และคำว่า “เล” เพื่อเป็นการสื่อว่าแขกที่เข้าพักในรีสอร์ทแห่งนี้จะได้ยินบทเพลงแห่งท้องทะเลอย่างเต็มที่ และยังได้สัมผัสถึงความงดงามของการใช้ชีวิตแบบเรียบง่ายตามแบบชุมชนชาวเกาะด้วย
Kimpton Kitalay Samui ตั้งอยู่บนหาดเชิงมนอันแสนสงบเงียบทางมุมด้านตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของเกาะสมุย บางท่านอาจจะคุ้นเคยกับชื่อหาดนี้เพราะว่าเป็นที่ตั้งของ Sala Samui และ Melia Koh Samui ด้วยเช่นกัน สำหรับ Kimpton Kitalay Samui ที่เพิ่งเปิดให้บริการนี้ประกอบด้วยห้องพักแบบต่างๆ จำนวนทั้งหมด 138 ห้อง แม้แต่ห้องที่มีขนาดเล็กที่สุดคือ Essential Resort View Room, Essential Sea View Room และ Essential Pool Access Resort View Room ยังมีขนาดใหญ่ถึง 58 ตารางเมตร หากเป็น One Bedroom Oceanfront Pool Villa ซึ่งมีอยู่ทั้งหมด 12 ยูนิตนั้นจะมีขนาด 224 ตารางเมตร และห้องพักที่ใหญ่ที่สุดนั้นคือ Two Bedroom Villa Kitalay ในภาพเปิดซึ่งมีเพียง 1 ยูนิตเท่านั้นและมีเนื้อที่ภายในถึง 628 ตารางเมตร

We see beautiful resort photographs all the time but there are some that get us really excited, like the one chosen to lead into this article. Kimpton Kitalay Samui is the brand’s first resort in Southeast Asia. Its name is derived from two Thai words “kita” for “songs” and “lay” for “sea”. The idyllic escape in the very northeast of the island is meant to celebrate the song of the sea, the beauty of village living and the warmth of human connection.
Located on the same Choengmon Beach as Sala Samui and Melia Koh Samui, Kimpton Kitalay Samui comprises 138 rooms, suites and villas. These are generous in size because even the smallest Essential Resort View Rooms, Essential Sea View Rooms and Essential Pool Access Resort View Rooms all measure 58 square meters. There are 12 One Bedroom Oceanfront Pool Villas of 224 square meters each. The single unit of Two Bedroom Villa Kitalay (shown in the opening picture) sprawls across an area of 628 square meters.
Spa lovers will benefit from the various treatments at Pimaanda by Harnn – the signature one being the Paradise of Wondrous Sea whose 14 steps include the Kasi Thara Bath Ritual, a natural pearl body scrub and the Trio of Bliss warm oil massage combining three massage techniques. Parents traveling with children should be interested to learn that there is a massive 500-square-meter Junio Kids’ Club with specifically designed facilities and activities which include tie-dye and coconut leaves weaving. They can also try planting their own sprouts at the resort’s Herbs Garden.
The resort has four restaurants and bars on site so you may not have to leave it even once during a short stay. Room rates are from 8,400++ baht per night. Bookings made from now until 28 February 2022 will earn you 2,500 baht resort credit for use at spas, restaurants and bars.
