Covid-19 ทำให้มีคนในอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวต้องหยุดชะงัก และมีคนที่ทำงานในแวดวงนี้ตกงานแล้วประมาณ 100.8 ล้านคนทั่วโลก ต่อให้สถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดสิ้นสุดลง แต่ข้อมูลจากหลายแหล่งก็ชี้ตรงกันว่าอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวอาจต้องใช้เวลา 10 เดือนหรือนานกว่านั้นอีกในการฟื้นตัวจากมหันตภัยทางเศรษฐกิจครั้งนี้ ทั้งนี้ ขึ้นอยู่กับความเข้มงวดของมาตรการควบคุมในแต่ละประเทศด้วย
ธุรกิจทุกรูปแบบ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นร้านอาหาร โรงภาพยนตร์ คาสิโนต่างๆ และแม้แต่ตัวย่านลาสเวกัสสตริปเองต้องระงับการให้บริการเป็นการชั่วคราว และจะต้องปรับเปลี่ยนรูปแบบการให้บริการ สถานประกอบการและกลยุทธ์ในการทำตลาดหลังจากนี้ไป เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับแนวคิดใหม่ของผู้บริโภคที่ทั้งมีความกังวลและจะให้ความสนใจเรื่องสุขภาพมากกว่าเดิม

ในด้านของที่พักนั้น Finolhu Resort ประเทศมัลดีฟส์ก็มีอะไรคล้ายๆ กัน นั่นก็คือที่พักแนวเต็นท์ทรงกลมใสชื่อ Finolhu Bubble เต็นท์ผ้าไฮเทคโพลีเอสเตอร์ที่สามารถป้องกันยูวีและมีระบบปรับอากาศนี้เป็นผลงานการผลิตของบริษัท Eye in The Sky เพื่อให้แขกที่เข้าพักได้ดื่มด่ำกับฟ้ากว้างและน้ำใสได้อย่างเต็มที่
ภายในเต็นท์นอกจากจะมีห้องน้ำและห้องอาบน้ำเป็นของตนเองแล้วยังมีพื้นไม้และเตียงใหญ่พร้อมผ้าปูอย่างหรู ทางรีสอร์ทพร้อมบริการแบบจัดเต็มด้วยบัทเลอร์ส่วนตัว บาร์บีคิวส่วนตัวบนชายหาดและอาหารเช้ามื้อใหญ่บนผืนทรายด้วยเช่นกัน
Panorama Glass Lodge ซึ่งเป็นธุรกิจครอบครัวที่เรคยาวิก ประเทศไอซ์แลนด์ ไม่ได้ออกแบบมาเพื่อตอบโจทย์เรื่อง Covid-19 แต่ก็ดูเข้าทีสำหรับยุคสมัยนี้ ห้องพักของที่นี่มีลักษณะเป็นบ้านน้อยในป่าใหญ่ที่มีระดับ ภายในตกแต่งด้วยไม้ที่ให้ความรู้สึกอบอุ่น ข้าวของที่บ่งบอกถึงวัฒนธรรมในท้องถิ่น และมีอ่างแช่น้ำร้อนตั้งอยู่หน้าห้องของตนด้วย
