Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong
โรงแรมน้องใหม่จากเครือ Marriot Bonvoy ที่เปิดให้บริการเมื่อเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ที่ผ่านมา ในทำเลที่เรียกได้ว่ากลางเมืองอย่างแท้จริง เพราะตั้งอยู่ภายใน The Market Bangkok บริเวณแยกราชประสงค์ ถนนราชดำริ รายล้อมด้วยสถานที่กิน เที่ยว ช้อป ระดับโลก ไม่ว่าจะเป็น Gaysorn Village, Central World, Siam Paragon หรือที่เปิดใหม่ล่าสุดอย่าง Gaysorn Amarin ในระดับที่ว่าสามารถเดินเท้าไปได้สบาย ๆ หากจะเดินทางไปบริเวณอื่นก็ง่ายมาก เพราะห่างจาก BTS เพียงแค่ 10 นาที จะใช้รถยนต์ส่วนตัวก็สะดวก

โรงแรมระดับห้าดาวใหม่แกะกล่องจากเครือ Kingston ที่เพิ่งเปิดให้บริการเมื่อเดือนมีนาคม ตั้งอยู่ในซอยสุขุมวิท 11 ใกล้ทั้งย่านนานาและสุขุมวิท ห่างจาก Central Embassy แค่ไม่ถึง 2 กิโลเมตร ชื่อโรงแรมนีสานั้นมีที่มาจากชื่อดินแดนภูเขาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ Nysa (นีสา) สถานที่กำเนิดของเทพกรีกนามว่าดิโอนิซัส เทพแห่งความสมบูรณ์และเทพแห่งไวน์ ตามตำนานเทพปกรณัมกรีก สื่อความหมายว่า แขกผู้ที่มาเข้าพักจะได้พบกับความรื่นเริง ความอิ่มเอม รวมถึงการพักผ่อนอย่างสงบสุขแท้จริง เสมือนเป็นโอเอซิสท่ามกลางเมืองอันแสนวุ่นวาย

Below are our picks of newly opened Bangkok hotels that we find interesting and worth checking out.
Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong
The latest member of the Marriot Bonvoy chain opened in February in a truly central location: The Market Bangkok at Ratchaprasong intersection on Ratchadamri Road, within walking distance of world-class dining, shopping and hangout places including Gaysorn Village, CentralWorld, Siam Paragon and the recently opened Gaysorn Amarin, a mere 10-minute walk from the BTS Skytrain and also conveniently accessible by car.
With 504 rooms the largest Moxy property in Asia-Pacific, the hotel features a modern design and décor in tune with urban lifestyles but with Thai accents seamlessly woven in – pakhaoma-patterned in-room pillows, the “Moxy” sign over the bar evidently inspired by the sign of the legendary Scala cinema theater, the mural paintings of yak (demons) figures from Thai literature. The neon-pink hotel sign, a Moxy brand signature, gives off a fun and colorful vibe in keeping with the Young At Heart concept. Rooms come in 6 categories: Moxy Queen, Moxy Twin, Moxy Loft, Moxy Queen Corner, Moxy Twin Corner and Moxy Deluxe. Every room comes with large glass windows allowing guests to enjoy the city views. Nysa Hotel Bangkok
Opened in March, the new five-star property from the Kingston chain is nestled in Soi Sukhumvit 11, less than 2 km from Central Embassy. Named after a sacred mountain in Greek mythology, the birthplace of Dionysus, the god of fertility and wine, the hotel promises a time of festivity, abundance and peaceful rest in an oasis amidst urban bustle.
The 264-room hotel is luxury and modern in style. The building that houses it has a dark-glass-and-wood façade that ensures privacy while giving a sense of airiness. The interiors are inspired by beach villas, with restaurants and guestrooms sporting wood accents and a cool palette of tropical blues, indigo and greens. Room types include Deluxe, Executive, Premier Pool View and One Bedroom Pool View Suite. Connecting room option, ideal for groups and families, is available for every room type. Those seeking the ultimate privacy will want to check out the Duplex Suite, which comes with a private pool. And with two F&B outlets, guests can rest assured they will be well taken care of in terms of sustenance. Leaf Bar serves cocktails in a lush green setting while the contemporary Thai restaurant Kwann specializes in harnessing fire, wood charcoal and smoke to create culinary magic.
Sotetsu Grand Fresa Bangkok
The Japanese Sotetsu Grand Fresa chain opened its first Thai hotel in early April. Located in Soi Sukhumvit 25 near Asok intersection, a super-bustling hub of business and tourism, the hotel is easily accessible by BTS, MRT and car, and just a short distance from top shopping destinations Emsphere, EmQuartier and Terminal 21.
The black stone-clad building that houses the hotel presents a stark contrast against warm interior lights vaguely reminiscent of a modern Japanese ryokan. Inside, it offers 129 guestrooms in 6 categories: Standard Double, Superior Double, Deluxe Twin, Grand Twin, Universal Twin and Adjoining. Like the guestrooms, the common facilities from the lobby to the hallways and elevators all sport a look of minimal, understated luxury with lots of wood and a soothing palette of white, cream and gray. The effect is cozy, warm and very Japanese. Guests are pampered with a generous array of amenities, including the Free Amenity corner filled with everything from shower caps and loofa to moisturizing cream, cleansing oil, facial masks and sunscreen, to emergency sewing kits. The guestroom water system uses gentle-on-skin filtered water. As befits a Japanese hotel, attention is lavished on every detail.
