Japanese fine dining experience has come to the Chao Phraya River.

The Okura Prestige Bangkok presents a unique Japanese fine dining experience aboard the luxurious Okura Cruise, which is a first for the group. As the ship glides along the Chao Phraya River, guests can enjoy breathtaking nighttime views of the riverbanks while indulging in an exceptional dinner. Diners may choose between a refined kaiseki experience – an 8-course meal crafted from the finest seasonal ingredients – or a teppanyaki dinner, also offered in an elegant fine dining format. Remarkably, the Okura Cruise Teppanyaki is also the world’s first overwater teppanyaki restaurant.
The ship’s interior design is meticulously infused with Japanese artistic and cultural elements, while affording an unobstructed view of the vista outside, regardless of where you are seated aboard. The ship is divided into three main areas. The kaiseki dining area accommodates up to 58 guests, while the teppanyaki dining area seats 16 people. Both are spacious, inviting and ensure a beautiful, private dining experience.
The upper deck features a bar designed with a distinct Japanese aesthetic, evoking a traditional rock garden and complete with tatami mat seating areas. It offers a perfect setting to relax, socialize, and savor drinks in a serene yet sophisticated ambiance. Guests can order a range of drinks from expert mixologists, including their five Japanese-inspired signature cocktails: Maiko Mint, Samurai Honey, Shogun Sour, Heimin Martini, and, Kazoku Highball. We should also say that this upper deck is particularly enjoyable during this year-end season with the cool breezes throughout the evening.
The Okura Cruise departs from the pier at Asiatique The Riverfront, sailing along the Chao Phraya River to the Rama VIII Bridge and back. Boarding begins at 19:00, with departure at 19:30. The entire journey lasts approximately three hours. For now, a temporary guest reception area is available on the second floor of The Siam Tea Room at Asiatique The Riverfront, until the dedicated reception area and pier are completed early next year. Special festive dining menus are currently available for Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations.
