ประมูลหมวกนักบินของแมเวอริคจากภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Top Gun วันที่ 27 สิงหาคมนี้ในงาน Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction

ร้านของสะสมชื่อดัง Prop Store จะจัดการประมูลครั้งใหญ่ชื่อ Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction ระหว่างวันที่ 26-27 สิงหาคมนี้ ของที่จะนำมาประมูลนั้นก็ประกอบด้วยพร็อพจากภาพยนตร์ฮอลลีวู๊ดระดับคลาสสิกกว่า 850 ชิ้น และชิ้นที่เราคิดว่าใครหลายคนอาจจะอยากได้ไว้ในครอบครองก็คือล็อตหมายเลข 815 ในวันที่สองของการประมูล นั่นก็คือหมวกนักบินของพีท มิทเชลหรือ “แมเวอริค” แห่ง Top Gun นั่นเอง
หมวกนี้เป็นพร็อพชิ้นหนึ่งที่ใช้ในการถ่ายทำภาพยนตร์เรื่องดังกล่าว ด้านในมีป้ายระบุหมายเลข “Maverick – #1” และมาพร้อมกับจดหมายจากจิม ไทสัน ผู้ดูแลงานเครื่องแต่งกายของกองถ่าย Top Gun ซึ่งนอกจากจะรับรองว่าหมวกนี้เป็นของจริงแล้วยังบอกเล่าถึงรายละเอียดในการผลิตหมวกนักบินใบต่างๆ เรื่อยไปจนถึงเรื่องราวว่าหมวกแต่ละใบนั้นตกไปอยู่ที่ใครบ้างหลังจากถ่ายทำเสร็จสิ้น ที่สำคัญ จดหมายฉบับนี้ยังยืนยันด้วยว่าหมวกใบนี้เป็นหนึ่งในหมวกจำนวนเพียงสามใบที่ผลิตมาให้ได้ขนาดสำหรับทอม ครูซใส่จริงๆ ส่วนหน้ากากและท่ออ็อกซิเจนยางสีเขียวที่ให้มาพร้อมกับหมวกนั้นไม่ได้มาจากกองถ่าย แต่มีติดมาให้ด้วยเพื่อวางโชว์ครบชุดเท่านั้น

Maverick’s helmet goes on sale as Lot #815 of Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction on 27 August 2020.

Over 850 incredible items from Hollywood’s classic movies are being auctioned between 26 and 27 August at a virtual event titled Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction by Prop Store. The piece we “feel the need” to feature is Lot #815 on Day 2: Pete “Maverick” Mitchell’s fighter pilot helmet from Top Gun.
This real-world flight helmet was decorated specifically for the character. Labeled “Maverick – #1” underneath the interior padding, the specimen comes with a signed letter of authenticity from Jim Tyson, the costume supervisor on the film, detailing the creation of the film’s helmets, their various whereabouts after production. The letter also confirms that this helmet was one of only three made specifically to fit Tom Cruise himself. A green rubber oxygen mask and tube is included to complete the display, but is not original to the film.
Our Luxuo Singapore team shares an interesting bit of information: Top Gun amassed a gross USD 356 million against a production budget of USD 15 million. The 1986 American action drama film was directed by Tony Scott, and produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer in association with Paramount Pictures.
Maverick’s helmet is expect to fetch a price in the estimated range of USD 50,000-70,000 despite signs of wear, scratches to the paint and cracking on the padding.
