เราเริ่มรู้จัก Mapiful โดยบังเอิญก่อนที่โควิดจะมา และก็ตั้งใจจะนำเสนอบริการนี้ในช่วงที่ทุกคนต้องทำงานจากบ้านรอบแรกเมื่อปีที่แล้ว แต่ภาระหน้าที่อื่นๆ ทำให้เราต้องพักบทความนี้ไว้ก่อน กว่าจะมีเวลาหยิบขึ้นมาใหม่เวลาก็ล่วงเลยมาถึงปลายเดือนพฤษภาคมของอีกปีหนึ่งแล้วซึ่งก็เชื่อว่าไม่ได้ช้าเกินไปที่จะทำความรู้จักกันเพราะเราต้องอยู่กับบ้านมากขึ้นหรือโชว์พื้นที่ในบ้านผ่านวีดีโอคอลต่างๆ อยู่ดี
Mapiful เป็นเว็บไซท์สำหรับการสร้างโปสเตอร์แผนที่เมืองต่างๆ ทั่วโลกเพื่อนำมาแขวนประดับบนกำแพงของคุณ คุณสามารถกดเลือกเมืองที่คุณสนใจเมืองใดก็ได้บนโลก อาจจะเป็นเมืองโปรดที่คุณเคยไปใช้ชีวิตอยู่แล้วยังคิดถึงอยู่ สถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่คุณไม่มีวันลืม เมืองที่คุณได้พบกับคนรักหรืออีกร้อยแปดเหตุผล แผนที่นี้อาจจะเป็นแนวตั้งหรือแนวนอนก็ได้ตามที่คุณชอบ เมื่อคุณซูมเข้าซูมออกและเลื่อนซ้ายเลื่อนขวาจนได้ตำแหน่งที่ถูกใจแล้วจึงพิมพ์ข้อความที่ต้องการหรือเลือกระบุพิกัดให้แผนที่ดูเก๋ๆ จากนั้นจึงเลือกสีตามธีมต่างๆ ที่มีหรือปรับแต่งเองตามใจชอบก็ได้

(69 ยูโร) แล้วแผนที่ที่คุณออกแบบจะถูกพิมพ์ลงบนบนกระดาษผิวด้านเกรดดีหนา 200 แกรมเพื่อความทนทาน และเป็นกระดาษแนวรักษ์โลกที่ผ่านการรับรองโดย FSC แล้วด้วย แผนที่ของคุณจะถูกม้วนใส่หลอดกระดาษแข็งหรือบรรจุในซองพัสดุแบนแข็งแล้วส่งถึงบ้านคุณ ทั้งนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับวิธีการของโรงพิมพ์ที่เป็นพาร์ทเนอร์ของ Mapiful ซึ่งอยู่ใกล้กับประเทศปลายทางที่สุด

Mapiful came to our attention just before the world was gripped by the coronavirus. We thought about featuring it the first couple of months into the pandemic but several other things got in the way, and here we are, at the end of May 2021. Anyway, it is hardly too late to talk about this fantastic product.
From the convenience of the Mapiful web site, you can create a street map of any location on earth that is meaningful to you to hang on your wall at home or office. It can be a favourite city, a dream destination, the place where you met your loved one and so on. The poster can be in either portrait and landscape orientation. Once you have zoomed and scrolled the map to your satisfaction, you will have the option to further personalise the location text and whether or not to include the coordinates. Several colour themes are available or you can fine tune the aesthetics to your liking as well.
Finally, choose the size of your street map poster from the three options: 30 x 40 cm (EUR 39), 50 x 70 cm (EUR 49) or 70 x 100 cm (EUR 69). Mapiful uses a matte, FSC certified, museum-grade paper weighing 200 GSM to ensure longevity. If you do not add a frame to your order, your poster will be delivered to you in either a sturdy cardboard tube or a thick cardboard flat pack, depending on the practice of Mapiful’s printing partner nearest to your country.
Mapiful has since introduced more products to inspire customers. In addition to the street maps, you can have star maps of a chosen place and date or a zodiac poster to match your sign. Most recently, they have added a text art poster product where your photograph is stylised with a repetition of small text of your choice. These creative posters are a great and easy way to personalise your living or work space. They make for a great conversation piece with your visitors, and an interesting background for your future video calls, if they happen to be in view.
